Istanbul Hamam Experience In Hızırbey Hamamı

Very excellent. We did the art of clay which was full body clay mask along with body scrub & bubble massage.

The Experience was really great. In addition to the regular hammam ticket, We took the Turkish bath, with massage. It was really good. And the staff was excelent.

Deniz, the front-desk staff member (Meydancı), was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the traditional Hamam process and how to best experience it. We originally only booked the basic bath experience, but after Deniz's helpful recommendation, we decided to add the scrubbing service—and we are so glad we did! As my wife wears a hijab and this is a mixed public bath, Deniz went above and beyond to make special arrangements so she could truly relax and comfortably enjoy the experience. My male attendant (Tellak), Sahin, was highly professional and patient, while Yeşim, the female attendant (Natır), was equally experienced and skilled. Both of them made our very first Hamam experience absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend visiting this Hamam for the incredible hospitality and professionalism of the team. Overall, two thumbs up!

Our experience as this Hamam was fantastic! The place is incredibly special and the service was fantastic. The massage was one of the best and we had the entire place to ourselves.

We can warmly recomend this place for everybody. We had our 1st Hammam experience. We choose the basic 45 min option for 50 Euro. The staff is kind, professional and helps with everything. It is a must try!!!! :)

My review should be 5 stars not 4. Lovingly restored, immaculately clean and oh so welcoming. The only slight quibble was the new age muzak which felt out of place in a building dating back to the 1400’s.

I found that Hızırbey Hamam 1458 was very close to the hotel I stayed in Istanbul, so I decided to visit. I highly recommend this Turkish bath. The staff were genuinely welcoming and guided me step by step through the steam and sauna until my skin was fully relaxed and soft. Then the hammam master led me to the marble platform for the wash - exfoliation, foam bathing, and a full-body massage. His touch was steady and composed, and the entire process felt deeply comforting. Afterwards, they invited me to rest on a sofa and served Turkish tea, lokum, and Şerbet. I believe this is a truly professional place to experience authentic Turkish bath culture, one you should not miss.

My wife, our adult daughter and I went to this hamam and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My wife & daughter had a clay treatment; I had the simple steam+sauna+scrub+short massage. The pressure was just right. The therapists were very professional. One hummed as he worked. The tea and relaxation after great.

They are the best, served nicely, best souna , steam rooms ! spacious and clean ! very well managed ! They served me triditional tea, sweets and drink before and after relaxing Turkish bath ! Tulin was the lady who did my massage and was absolutely fabulous at what she does ! They were super friendly and nice ! Hızırbey Hamamı is not only the oldest bathhouse in the area, but also one of the best. Stepping inside feels like traveling back in time, the historical architecture and atmosphere are absolutely stunning. The service was excellent, very professional and friendly. Everything was clean, well, organized, and respectful of tradition. If you’re looking for a real hammam experience with great hospitality, this is the place to go. Highly recommended

My favourite hammam experience in Istanbul. The oldest hamam in the city. It is beautiful and really immaculate, the most serene atmosphere. The staff are absolutely impeccable, really genuinely friendly, authentic and unpretentious place. Superbly aesthetic pleasing, kind and thoughtful hosts, wonderful massage. Will recommend to all my friends visiting the city. And about 50% cheaper than some of the more central hammams - but this feels every bit as luxurious and I love the area, a very traditional and fascinating place where you can buy traditional products much cheaper than the grand bazaar etc. Do visit!

Where to start. This experience was a 10 out of 10 from start to finish. Myself and a friend went to this yesterday and unfortunately we do not know the names but I had a lovely lady and she had a lovely gentlemen. We went to the sauna and steam area first and it was so clean and wonderful 🙌 Afterwards we were brought to the room and the whole thing eas so relaxing and you and minded like a baby. I felt so refreshed and with no dead skin afterwards. Erol served us lovely treats in the relaxation room after and they were so delicious. They could not be more giving and kind. Very very nice experience, really recommend it. I couldn’t do the scrub because of my extremely sensible skin, but they made me a longer massage that was amazing. Super kind staff and place is super clean!

Almost by chance, while wandering around Istanbul, we arrived in front of the FIRST PUBLIC HAMAM IN ISTANBUL: HIZIRBEY HAMAMI. We asked for information and found a very peaceful and charming atmosphere with lovely people; we decided to try this experience: beautiful! What a magnificent experience! This historical hammam is an absolute must-visit. The beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere immediately transport you to another time. The staff was fantastic—so professional and welcoming. The traditional treatment, especially the massage, was pure bliss. Everything was spotless and felt incredibly luxurious. I left feeling completely refreshed and pampered. Easily five stars!

I cannot recommend this place enough. I think I’ve never felt this clean in my entire life before. By the end of our Istanbul trip we spontaneously decided to give this place a shot as we didn’t want to leave Turkiye without having tried a proper Turkish Bath. Hamam Khazirbey left the best impression. Cozy, clean, quiet and peaceful. Everyone was given the keys to their changing room and towels. Kind staff showed where the hamam, sauna, steam room, rest room are located. Professional massage therapists Mashkhur and Shaheen performed scrubbing, foam massage procedures. And at the end, they treated him to Turkish tea with lucum. We spent as much time as we wanted in the hammam and came out rested, refreshed and feeling completely satisfied! Thank you to the Hamam staff for their attentiveness! Recommend it from the heart!

Beautiful, divine, gorgeous. They came out rested, refreshed. We were served tea with rachat lucum. Treated with fruit. The treatment itself takes 40 minutes, and before that 40 minutes open on a rock, in a sauna and a menthol steam room. After the procedure, you feel like a slight Feather. Thank you very much to all the staff. They also discounted it. Recommend to each and every one

Sehr freundliches Personal, die Räume sind sauber und gemütlich. Ich hatte Peeling, Schaummassage und Ölmassage gebucht. Alles wurde respektvoll und professionell durchgeführt. Besonders möchte ich die Masseurin Maria bedanken die bei mir die Ölmassage durchgeführt hat. Sie hat mich ordentlich durchgeknetet (keine Streichelmassage, die ich hasse) trotzdem heute keine blaue Fleken oder Schmerzen. Ich fühle mich wie neu geboren. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable premises. I booked a foam scrub - massage and oil massage. Everything was done with respect and professionalism. Special thanks to the masseuse Maria (Russian speaker) who gave me an oil massage. She's been meticulously stretching me, how much I love (I don't like it when they just stroke). I feel really good today. No bruising or body pain. Mary is just an angel with magic hands.

Great! Super nice! Can only be recommended! Somewhat hidden and therefore perhaps unfortunately hard to find. It was a night walk through streets little visited by tourists. But we had a wonderful time in this hammam. It is really clean and welcoming and warmly run. We booked two different treatments as a couple and were also treated at the same time as we were the only guests at that time (12 o'clock at noon). We felt very well taken care of throughout and could still stay as we wanted after the massage. We got tea and Loki and totally relaxed. Many thanks to the team! You have rounded off the Istanbul experience perfectly for us!!

Great experience, very relaxing. I chose the “art of marble” treatment that is perfect: hammam, sauna, scrub and extraordinary foaming massage! We were in couple at the same time it was perfect!!

My husband and I visited this historic bath and really had an experience that exceeded our expectations. Just as we walked through the door, that authentic architecture, stonework, and the smell of mossed soap took us to a different era. The staff were extremely courteous and professional, making us feel special at every step.
