Such a fun experience and a cool way to see Istanbul! Our guide Ikbal was very knowledgeable and chose a good route to ride. We saw neighborhoods we otherwise would have skipped and I’m glad we got to experience them.

Ahmet was fantastic and the bike and boat was great and value for money.
We had an amazing bike tour with Can & two other Aussies we had not met before. We had a great time enjoying the cycling on both sides of the Bosphorus with a fabulous ferry ride included.
I had a blast on this tour. To begin, the team was flexible in helping me manage some scheduling issues, which really kept my trip on track. During the tour, my guide, Aliya, did a terrific job. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the city and shared just enough to keep interest without information overload. I like that the journey can be adjusted to your pace and that the key stops were well curated. The ferry hop was a nice addition. I enjoyed seeing both sides of the city in a way that made me feel connected with the city and its people rather than running around in a gas guzzler. Huge win. I'd absolutely check out their other tours on return. A highlight is the stop at the pier turned dock, coffeeshop and library. We had a great coffee, enjoyed the views and people (and duck) watching.
Great experience! Cem was very accommodating, helping with our reservation. Ahmet & Omar led us on an entertaining ride giving us history of landmarks along the way. The pace was perfect for our group. They kept us in check and I felt safe. Would highly recommend this tour and will ride again with them next time I am back!
Omer was awesome. They are very helpful, professional, and kind. Had a great time and I would recommend.
Excellent tour with great guides. Some busy traffic areas and hills. Guides did everything to make sure each individual had a great time. We had a problem and the guides went out of their way to help us without impacting the rest of the group/tour. Thank you very much@
So much fun! We always try and do a bike tour when visiting a new city as it’s a great way to get connected. This tour was excellent and we highly recommend it as Istanbul is large, diverse, and across two continents. It’s not for the faint of heart though given you’re riding through the “controlled chaos” that makes this city amazing!
This bike and boat tour was one of the highlights of our 4-day visit to Istanbul! Our guide, Can (pronounced “John”), was friendly, knowledgeable, and brought the city’s history to life with fascinating stories about Balat, the Galata Tower, the Walls of Constantinople, Maiden’s Tower, and Florence Nightingale’s connection to the Crimean War. The four of us were initially disappointed to discover the bikes ere not e-bikes as assumed. However, Can adjusted the pace and route so well that it quickly became a non-issue. Istanbul isn’t a particularly bike-friendly city, and we even had a couple of mechanical issues at the start. My bike seat wouldn’t stay up, so Can eventually swapped bikes with me—a great example of his excellent customer service. The ferry ride between Europe and Asia was a unique bonus, and biking on two continents in one tour made for an unforgettable experience. If you’re comfortable riding in an urban setting, I highly recommend this tour.
Guides were informative and this was a beautiful way to sightsee the city. However, the pace and difficulty of the tour is more medium/hard for certain populations and is not a leisurely stroll in some parts. Be warned!
This was a cool way to have a local experience- see lesser known neighborhoods and take the local ferry. The guide Omer has lots of interesting takes on Turkish living. The ride was more strenuous than other tourist bike tours I've done in other cities-wear comfortable clothes and bring sunscreen. Ladies, bring TP with you and be prepared for the squat toilet if you need to go.
Our bike tour with Ömer was the highlight of our trip! We loved seeing different Istanbul neighborhoods on both the Europe & Asia sides while learning the city’s sociopolitical context from our guide. He’s knowledgeable, funny & smart and included all members of our group. He tailored parts of the tour to our interests & navigated us smoothly through the streets. We felt excited & safe, so we highly recommend y’all get out there on a bike with Ömer!
We enjoyed seeing both sides of Istanbul and riding the ferry. Ahmet told us about the history at multiple stops. Be prepared for city biking without bike lanes. We did have to maneuver around vehicles and people in busy areas. Tour was about 5 hours long and we enjoyed pastries at a bakery near the bike shop. The shop does not have a sign outside, the Google maps location gets you there and communication is great using WhatsApp.
Biking is the best way to see many neighborhoods and major sights effortlessly and in detail. Better than walking and being in a motorized vehicle. Follow the guide and you’ll glide through crowds and traffic, underpasses and onto ferries. Practice changing gears for the rare inclines. I recommend as the first excursion in Istanbul.
We saw some great sites, crossed the Bosphoroua to the Asian side and saw the iron church! Stopped for amazing ice cream which we earned on our bike ride.
Tolga, Can, and Alp were the best! Helpful, knowledgeable, and on the spot when a couple of folks took a spill. Very engaging, funny, and relational. We highly recommend them!
Fantastic bike tour from the European to Asian side of Istanbul. The 3 guides, Tolga, Can and Alp were informative, thoughtful, fun, went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great. Highlight of our trip, we would highly recommend this tour.
Ahmet Burak and Gaye were such great guides! Their knowledge of history was very good! We highly recommend them! 🤠
Of the many City Bike tours we've done, this was among the best. Our guide Tolga was great- Fun to ride with and knowledgeable about history and current day Istanbul. The opportunity to ride on both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul was a great way to learn about the city and the ferry transportation across the Bosphorus provided some great views and picture opportunities.
A carefully crafted tour by Cem and his company. Great sightseeing of both European and Asian Istanbul. We were very well taken care of and the ride was easy. The ferry ride offered a great view of Istanbul from the water and a quick way to get to see both sides of this historical city. Cem gave us a great historical perspective as well as views of modern day life. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to enjoy a leisurely ride away from busy old town and get different perspectives from the Bosphorus. Thank you Cem and Toona!
This was a great ride! It turned out I was the only customer and two guides were learning, so it was me with three guides--I felt well taken care of! Tolga, Kaan, and Gamze were so personable, attentive, and kind; they really looked out for me and made sure I had what I needed. We started in Balat and they provided a nice history of the area and then took the ferry over to the Asian side. Their knowledge of the city was impressive and I learned a lot. Once in Asia, we biked through other neighborhoods and stopped frequently for more history. They always answered my questions and were just fun people. I was very jet lagged and hadn't eaten much beforehand, so they kindly added a cafe stop to the tour so I could have a quick bite. We then took a different ferry back to Europe, and I learned about the Golden Horn and the Bosporus. By chance, I also got to meet the owner of the company before boarding this ferry--very nice! The biking is somewhat technical in that you are riding at times in the street or between pedestrians, so you should be comfortable with that aspect. They have helmets for you and help fit the bike to your height. The bikes are good with functional gears and working brakes--both of which are important on the hills of Istanbul! I really enjoyed this tour and enjoyed all three guides. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes to get an overview of the city that is up close and personal! Thank you, Tolga, Kaan, and Gamze--I hope to see you again!
We had a wonderful few hours with Furkan and Gaya. We were fortunate it was only us so got lots of attention! We saw lots of the city and they were very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed talking about the city and to get their different perspectives on life in Turkey. The ride was not difficult. Only suggestion would be to have e-bikes available for those that want them and the meeting place address on the app was incorrect and we arrived in the wrong place - about 10 minutes walk from the Balat station which is where we were supposed to be.
Spent a great day with Çem learning about the history of Istanbul while biking around real neighborhoods. Biking was such a great way to see real neighborhoods and experience Istanbul outside of the normal tourist zones. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in a fun and relaxing way to see the city.
Fantastic bike tour. Cem was knowledgeable, informative and engaging. And a super nice guy. We had a great time exploring part of Istanbul we had never seen before. Along the way, Cem educated us about history, culture, food and sport. The bikes were in great condition and easy to operate.
Friendly and knowledgable guide and his assistant really took care of us and adapted the tour to our physical abilities. The bikes worked well and were well maintained and cleaned.
We had a wonderful bike tour with Cem. We had our own bikes, so we met him at a different tram station. He communicated well. We rode for about 4 hours and 12 miles, taking ferries to the Asia side and back. Cem was very knowledgeable and has fantastic bike handling skills! Coffee and a sweet at the shop powered s through the afternoon. Great tour!
We had a fantastic day cycling with Cem, Omer and Efe! They were knowledgeable and patient, helping all riders to participate with comfort, despite having to climb hills at times. We got to experience the authentic life of Istanbul on both continents, Europe and Asia. A must-do experience!
Cem was a fantastic guide! He made sure our group was always safe on the streets of Istanbul and provided very personable and knowledge information about his city. Highly recommend this tour!
You definitely should do this tour! Ahmed really was a wonderful guide! He was generous with his ample and impressive knowledge of a city he loves. Istanbuls geography was difficult to us as first time visitors and this tour really helps you to get to grips with this. The history and culture is fascinating. A must do as far as we’re concerned. Well done Ahmed !
This is a wonderful way to see Istanbul. Our guide was Asli. Asli was lovely and very informative. The ride appropriate for most people who are comfortable on a bike and have decent fitness.
We had a fantastic time exploring both sides of Istanbul. Cem was a gracious host and an amazing guide. There’s no better way to explore a new city than by bike!
This is a very expensive trip which is absolutely not worth the money. The guides were informative and enthusiastic but due to the size of the group we couldn’t hear most of what was being said as there were no headphones available. We paid $98 for it with Tripadvisor and then were offered it for €70 but it was too late to change. The starting point was inaccurate and we found it difficult to find. I would not recommend this trip
Great ride. Our tour was very enjoyable and we enjoyed the ferries for city views. Overall it was pretty flat but there were a few steep hills.
We were lucky to have a lovely day for the bike tour. We were the only ones that say. Gorman was a great guide. He was friendly, obliging and very knowledgeable. The tour was quite long in distance, the sea journey was interesting but all in all very manageable as there were no hills to cycle up! Well worth doing x
Brilliant. Ikbal and Esra were brilliant. We saw a lot and learned a lot. It felt more like a conversation with friends than a guided tour. Would definitely recommend this trip …. And request Ikbal and Esra.
We had a great day riding through the Old City and taking the ferry across to the Asian side. Ikbal was a great guide with genuine interest in both history and biking. He was patient with us when we needed more time riding. In addition, we really enjoyed his informative history of Istanbul. The local people are warm and friendly, even though they are suffering so much hardship at the moment with their economy.
We booked this bike tour and had the best day. Our two guides Furkan and Aliya were fantastic. So helpful and very knowledgable of the local area and the history of Istanbul. They made the tour very interesting and fun! I would highly recommend this tour!
Such a fabulous way to see both sides of Istanbul Furkan our guide was terrific. He had plenty of information to share and was also good fun. Highly recommend this tour. The bikes were well maintained, the tour not too over taxing but it had a few hills to feel as though we were getting a little work out. When in Istanbul, do it!!!!! Thanks Furkan and Efe. Cheers Sue and Ross
Cem and Ramo were great. I got lost getting to the meeting point and they both went to a lot of trouble to locate me and get me going on the tour. What a great way to see Istanbul! Loved it
Very knowledgeable local guide who paced the group very well. Lots of stops for photos on the European and Asian sides of Istanbul where he provided local and historical information. Good coffee stop too.
Great overview of both European and Asian sides of Turkiye. Knowledgeable informative helpful guide named Furkan. Highly recommend this leisurely fun interesting bike tour to one and all. Thank you again to Furkan for making it all happen! 😊 Ford & Jennifer
We have done bike tours in many countries and have to say that this was one of the very best. The tour from beginning to end was an amazing scenic historical overview of both sides of Istanbul and a great introduction to daily life on the streets. Our guide, Furkan, was so knowledgeable and informative about all that we were experiencing. He was so helpful and considerate throughout the tour. We highly recommend this leisurely bike tour to one and all. Thank you Furkan. Ford and Jennifer, Bangkok
What a great trip! Friendly and knowledgeable guides who kept everyone engaged. Also met the manager/owner at the end who was also a friendly guy. Good quality and variety of bikes for different needs. The journey itself felt safe and well organised. Highly recommended.
Great bike tour on both sides of Istanbul with a fun & knowledgeable guide! Took us to areas we would not have seen.
Excellent bike tour. Great guides! The terrain was mostly flat with only 3-4 hills to conquer. I am used to riding an e-bike but they only had regular 21 speed bikes - however, the ride and terrain was still very doable really for anyone as long as you know how to manage the gear shifts required ti get up the hills. One item to note - the meet location really is next to the Balat Tram/Bus stations so do not follow Google maps which will take you to a residential area where you have to walk up a very steep hill to reach the location on the map, only to realize it is not the meeting point but someone’s house.
Great trip with warm friendly guides Iqbal and Sena. Well organised and good commentary. Comfortable bikes. Thank you suggesting local lunch together and for other recommendations in Istanbul. This is a great way to spend a first day and get a feel for the city (especially from the ferry!)
What a great tour. We are a group of 10 middle-aged “lads”, some of us are experienced cyclists but others (being polite) are less used to exercising. Iko, our main guide for the day, was knowledgeable, very friendly, and came to our rescue when one of our senior members of the group decided to ride off in the wrong direction and get himself lost. The route is (mostly) flat and away from main roads, and you get to see both European and Asian sides of Turkey with a ferry ride between the two. Traffic was a bit crazy on the few roads we did cycle along but that’s just Istanbul. You’ve just got to be ready for it and deal with it. Bonus points for anyone who successfully cycles up the hill back to their office/shop in Balat. You’ll need a good set of lungs/legs to do that. But you can walk up it with your bike if you prefer. I did - no need to be macho about the challenge unless you want to. Highly recommend.
My wife and I did this tour on our first full day in Istanbul. Neither of us had been to Turkey before. Furkan was our guide and he did a great job. He was very friendly and eager to show us what he could. Overall I would say this was a nice tour to get acquainted with the city. We biked all over and got to see more local parts of the city which was nice. My wife and I had different expectations for what the tour would consist of though. We thought it would be similar to a bike tour we did in Rome where it was packed with information about the city and the history. Here it was more biking around and getting pieces of information about the neighborhoods. On top of this, Furkan gave us the nicest bikes he could, but they were kind of disappointing. I’m 6’2” and was too tall for the bike, but still made it through the entire tour. The routing felt safe, there was only one stretch where we were on a road with the Istanbul traffic and that only lasted for 2-3 minutes. I think this tour has potential to be great. I just hope they add more information and improve the bikes.
Such a great way to see Istanbul, but off the beaten trail. The two brothers who took us spoke English well. They were very knowledgeable of the city and willing to point out the sights. Biking is a little crazy in such a busy town. It rained during our tour, but they stayed longer to give us the full tour we paid for.
Great tour of different parts of the city. Took us away from many of the more tourists spots which was nice. Really good to ride around the Asia side. Tour guide was also very good, and really ensured everyone was taken care of. All that said, Istanbul isn't a bike friendly city. We didn't see many others on bike and the locals seemed surprised to be around bikes. Keep in mind Istanbul is one of the most populist city in the world, and it did get tricky avoiding people in certain areas. I'd still recommend it, but be prepared and forewarned.
