Istanbul Discovery Tour With Private Guide And Private Vehicle

We had 1.5 days with a stopover in Istanbul for a quick view of some of the highlights of the city. I reached out to directly to the company and Brit responded promptly. She was very helpful in setting up private transportation to and from the airport and setting up a private tour guide to take us to the highlights of Old Town Istanbul. The SUV we traveled in was the fanciest SUV I have ever been in! The drivers were very nice and attentive to whatever we needed. The guide, Deniz, was incredible. She was so informative and patient as we were traveling with my 75 year old father. She was fine traversing at his pace! She also recommended an excellent place to eat and joined us so we could visit more. She was absolutely delightful. I would recommend this company and specifically Deniz as a guide to anyone wanting to see Istanbul!

Absolutely one of the most delightful travel experiences we have ever had. We booked 2 transfers and 2 days of tours with Brit & Berat. Communications with them throughout the experience was precise and answered all questions, even before I asked them The vehicles were brand new Mercedes vans. And the guides were all one could ask for. Both Koray and Define were extremely knowledgeable and combined with their outgoing personalities, my wife and I had a ball. I spent 35 years teaching European History and these two guides never missed a fact or question. Our pre-cruise time in Istanbul was the high point of our trip. We had a great time on these tours. The guide spoke very good English and I enjoyed the private tour which is my wife and I.I met Berat each day. He was checking on how our tour was going. It really meant a lot to me that he did that.

Brit and Berat, When looking at the different options for touring Istanbul, we were so happy we selected you! Deniz was exceptional in her knowledge and interesting facts with the places we toured. She made sure we knew in advance the appropriate clothes we needed to tour specific sites. She gave us easy to find directions at the cruise port to meet and was on time. She was able to juggle times in our agenda so we never had to wait to tour a site, making good use of our time. Her English was impeccable and we always had plenty of time to experience all the sites. She was friendly and always happy to answer any of our questions. She brought us to a delicious lunch stop where they offered a full menu and several sample plates so we could try Istanbul cuisine. Our ride was a comfortable Mercedes van and by the end of our tour we felt like we had made a sweet friend. We also enjoyed meeting Berat! You really run a first class company. Denize was a very knowledgeable guide with her education in design and architecture! She answered all of my questions with great detail. She also took us to the Bazaar and to some specialty stores. We ended with lunch at a Michelin restaurant with authentic cuisine.

We loved our time in Istanbul! We scheduled directly with Brit. She was great to work with - very responsive and good feedback and suggestions on how to make our two days full of things to do and see. It was such a stress free way to see Istanbul. Our tour guide was Jacob who was amazing. An absolutely delightful young man, who is very personable, and whose knowledge of the history and culture of Turkiye was tremendous. We were able to spend the day with Yakup touring the old city. He was a wealth of knowledge, kept us entertained with the history, the little details other guides probably don’t point out. They even picked us up in a VIP van complete with cold water. Plan on it being an all day tour full of beautiful architecture, mosaics and even feeding the seagulls. Would 100% recommend this tour. It was so nice to have a private tour with just our group and to have quick entry to the attractions.

We only had one day in Istanbul this trip and wanted to arrange a driver and guide to see the Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque and the Cistern. They were professional, efficient and responsive throughout our interactions. We knew we were in good hands. They even handled some special requests that we had. Our guide was super knowledgable and a pleasure to be with. Car was immaculate and driver was excellent. Do not hesitate to use their services.

Oh my gosh! Yakuphan aka Jacob was the most incredible tour guide. We spent 2 full days with him. One for the Hagia Sophie, Blue Mosque etc and the second day in the Bazars. I have never met a guide more knowledgeable than him! He was not only knowledgeable about history, but you could feel his personal passion and interest in it. We have been in Turkey for 2 weeks prior to coming back to Istanbul and we saved the best for last. We learned more in 2 days than we did in 2 weeks. He was also great about accommodating our wish list for shopping and finding the best places with great prices. I can’t imagine navigating the bazars without him. Please please done hesitate to book a tour with him and this company. 5 star all the way!

Couldn't imagine a better experience. Istanbul is a beautiful city with unparalleled history. But what made the day special was our guide Deniz. If you book the old town tour, insist on booking Deniz. She will leave you with a magical feeling for the city. She will make you feel like a sultan!

I had a fabulous visit to Istanbul thanks to Brit & Berat and my fabulous guide Koray! As a solo female traveler going to Istanbul for the first time, I was a bit nervous. I wanted to have a guide with me to help me navigate the city, communicate with locals and learn a bit along the way. I also liked the idea of having transportation arranged as well. The drivers showed up at my hotel on time and were professional. The cars were clean and always had water and snacks. My guide, Koray, was an absolute gem. He was with me for both of my tour days, and made my time in Istanbul memorable and fun. His love and knowledge of Istanbul was evident in the quality of the tour. He was a pleasure to be around as well as a wealth of information. He added more depth to my knowledge of the city and history and I got to enjoy my first Turkish coffee in the Grand Bazaar (thanks Koray). I'm confident that if you book a tour with Yakuphan, you will not be disappointed. Our day started with pickup from our hotel before visiting the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Hagia Sophia. Throughout the day, Yakuphan shared an incredible amount of information about Istanbul’s architecture, history, culture, and people. We also stopped for food, coffee, and a couple of special attractions along the way, which made the experience feel much more personal than a standard sightseeing tour. What stood out most was Yakuphan’s patience and depth of knowledge. He took the time to answer all of our questions and clearly has a genuine passion for Istanbul and its history. I probably only retained a fraction of everything he shared, but I left wanting to research more on my own, which I think says a lot about the quality of a guide. The plan was to arrive at the Istanbul Airport in the middle of the night after a long flight so having a trusted driver waiting to take us to our hotel was important. Brit (and Berate) popped up on FB so after some comparison shopping, decided to try them for Airport roundtrip transfers. We also booked a city tour the next day. With our booking we got excellent instructions with pictures and easily met our driver. Nice private van with water (thanks Alex). Right to our hotel. Whew. The next day our car and guide arrived promptly at our hotel and off we went for the day. The tour was perfect and Deniz was amazing. Educational, fun and low key (Just our speed)... Got our steps in seeing the important sights, ate a traditional Turkish lunch, AND got our shopping on! (smile). Finally, trip back to the airport on our final day was easy, on time, and with a familiar face! I highly recommend Brit and Berat for great experiences and peace of mind. Super happy I found them and would do it again.

I found Brit & Berat on facebook of all places!! Did a little research and decided to use them for our 4-day stop over in Istanbul following our African Safari. What a great find!!! Easy pick up from the airport (they even waited at least 45 minutes because one person in our party of 6 had some issues getting through customs). We had 3 jammed packed days of touring with a guide who knew so much and was eager to share his knowledge and proud to show us this amazing city. Their restaurant recommendations were top notch and they brought us to the most wonderful place to buy hand woven Turkish carpets from the sweetest guy who owns the most esteemed store in Istanbul. Fun food tour on the Asian side of Istanbul in the Kadikoy neighborhood. We were able to sample so many different street foods which are not normally available to tourists. Our guide, Denis, was so knowledgeable and also very fun. He made sure to customize our tastings to our individual likes or dislikes. The transportation was great. We were picked up at our hotel in a luxurious van and returned the same way. Our only complaint was that we just could not eat enough due to our own physical limitations! We highly recommend you try this tour.

We booked with Brit and Berat on Facebook. Our Guide, Koray, met us at our hotel at the appointed time and we were on our way. Koray held a massive amount of history and shared it in a very descriptive way so that we really understood what we were seeing. We visited the Blue Mosque, the square that held the Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, the Bascilica Cistern and then guided us to the best places to shop for spices, rugs and souvenirs. Koray never rushed us, he knew the best places for photos and answered all our questions. Koray was a pleasure to spend the day with. Also, if you have guide it does help with expediting the lines to enter the tourist venues. I highly recommend this company and guide.

I reached out to these guys the night before and they were able to quickly make things happen to accommodate my request! The drive that picked me up at my hotel was extremely polite and drove a nice vehicle with all the accommodations you would ever need, it was super clean as well. Now the tour guide… I can’t say enough about him, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and clearly loved him job. So many tour guides do it for just a job but for this guy, it was something he clearly woke up excited to do it every day. He was not only knowledgeable, he was polite, courteous and very respectful! Very pleased with both the airport pickup and cruise port drop-off, as well as the day tour in between. The one area of improvement is the larger seatbelts for four adults and maybe a bit more room for luggage in the van. Other than that. We felt safe and secure and pleased.

The best personalized tour of a lifetime that I've ever experienced. Very accommodating and flexible to one's daily changing schedule. Be ready to learn and walk the city. If you need a break, let them know. Come prepared to experience a new city on your schedule and needs. From the minute we landed to our departure, we were well taken care of. Come prepared with questions. Our tour guide, Yakupn (Jacob) was always on point, willing to taken on one challenge after another. We were always in contact with him and Berat throughout our visit. In the event something went array, they quickly responded, rectifying the situation immediately and promptly. I really wish we had more time to explore additional offerings - so we we will be returning in two months. That really speak to the level / caliber of their service.

Jelley showed us all teh sites we wanted to see and was very knowledgeable about the history, sharing it in a way we could comprehend. Koray is a master of history! Every date! Every Sultan! His wealth of knowledge is impressive but equally inspiring is his love for this city. Our tour was great! Well informed and super safe. The group was thoroughly brought through all of the hot spots in Istanbul with information at every stop. Lots of fun! It lasted roughly four hours. Only caveat was that stops costed money so prices got a little high as at numerous places there were expenses for entrance. We didn’t need the van for transportation for our group so the company gave us a free shuttle to the airport, which was super considerate and generous!

Booking with Brit and Berat what’s the best decision we made in planning our trip to Istanbul. They made it so easy. They sent me options and chose the options. I was interested in and they planned out 4 full days of activities, including transportation to and from the airport. The Istanbul airport taxi lane can be quite daunting and having a person have my name flight number, etc. was great and he personally walked me directly to a custom comfortable van that was kind of like a limousine which was a real treat and a wonderful first impression of Istanbul. I stayed the first three nights at the stay Bosphorous hotel on recommendation by Brit And Berat and it was a wonderful boutique hotel in a lovely area with a spectacular view of the water. We then transferred to another hotel right in the heart of old Istanbul, and this is where the adventure really began. We did a combination of historical walking tours of the hippodrome, the blue mosque and Haggai Sophia. We did a walking food tour on the Asian side, which was spectacular. We went to the sultan Palace. We did the Turkish Bath. We walked the streets. We walked through the grand bazaar. We stopped at coffee shops. We stopped at hidden restaurants and cafés. It was a wonderful experience. The Turkish people are exceptionally kind and welcoming. The food is outstanding. Do not believe what you read or see on the news and anything happening in Iran has no impact on Istanbul. It is a vibrant city full of welcoming people. We visited rooftop bars with stunning views and Brit And Berat are always just a text away. And that brings me to the class a level of service that they offer. I unfortunately became ill on my last day I just texted Berat and he made all the arrangements to get me the medical assistance I needed and I cannot be more grateful.I had such a positive experience that I’m gonna be returning to Turkey and I’m gonna be booking new adventures through Brit And Berat. My family and I had an excellent experience with Brit and Berat during our time in Istanbul and would highly recommend them. We recently spent three nights in Istanbul, and put ourselves almost completely in Brit & Berat’s hands for our time there. From airport transfers to guided tours, they helped make our experience easy and memorable. Their drivers were friendly and efficient, with clean, comfortable vehicles always stocked with cold water. Their tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, full of interesting information about the places we visited and providing restaurant recommendations. We took full-day tours of both the European and Asian sides of the city, seeing wonderful sights like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Gran Camlica Mosque, and Beylerbeyi Palace. We had one somewhat offbeat request — my wife does pottery, so Berat personally escorted us to a wonderful shop full of beautiful ceramic works. We booked a private customized tour with a guide and had a marvelous day with Brit & Berat tours. From the pick up to the drop off everything is handled with care with total focus to the clients requests. First class from beginning to end. Our guide Mr. Koray was the best. He is very knowledgeable and easy going with a lovely sense of humor. Our driver was amazing weaving through Istanbul’s very busy streets with the utmost safe driving skills. Mr. Berat joined in at two of our stops to provide guidance and is very professional to ensure his guests are well taken care of. We started the day off at the Galata tower, stopped to try the famous cheesecake with traditional Turkish tea/coffee at its base & walked the Beyoğlu district. Then off to see the Basilica cistern which is a must. Fast tracking with tickets saved a ton of time. The old part of Istanbul is lovely and the history is amazing. Mr. Koray blended nice touches such as stops to try chestnuts and Simit (Turkish sesame bread) to introduce my daughters to some local delicacies in addition to the amazing history. Due to our day coinciding with a national holiday in Türkiye we were unable to head to several spots (I have been to Istanbul before before.. so highly recommend the Blue mosque) and chose this time to do a Bosphorus 2 hour private boat charter with lunch. This was the highlight of the day. The food was wonderful only topped by the magical views. We threw in a shopping spree to cap off our day. We highly recommend Brit & Berat. With very short notice they provided first class airport service to one of our family members that needed a middle of the night pick up. I cannot recommend them enough. They are responsive and wonderful to plan the perfect day in Istanbul with.
