We had a wonderful adventure visiting the Istanbul Archeological Museum with Taner. He is very knowledgeable, communicates excellently in English and is an all around interesting and pleasant guy. It was the first day of El Al-Asha holiday, and many sights were closed, so we decided to take this tour as the archeology Museum was open. We lucked out as we had such a personable guide who gave excellent explanations about the ancient artifacts and told us colorful stories. We enjoyed our time with Taner and came away feeling we also got to spend some time with a local and learn a bit more about life in Istanbul.

Rüstem Pasha Mosque is a historic Ottoman mosque in Istanbul, designed by the famous architect Mimar Sinan and completed around 1561. It was commissioned by Rüstem Pasha, Grand Vizier and son-in-law of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The mosque is especially famous for its stunning collection of İznik tiles, featuring rich floral and geometric patterns. Built on a raised platform above shops, it offers a distinctive architectural setting in the heart of Istanbul’s historic Eminönü district.
In here our guests can follow our guide for some shopping and information about the bazaar. Also guests can have their own free time in here. Mısır Çarşısı (Spice Bazaar) is one of Istanbul’s most vibrant and historic marketplaces, located in the Eminönü district near the Galata Bridge. Built in the 17th century as part of the New Mosque complex, it was originally funded by taxes collected from Egypt—hence the name "Egyptian Bazaar." Famous for its colorful stalls filled with spices, dried fruits, herbal teas, sweets, and souvenirs, the bazaar offers a sensory journey through the flavors and aromas of Turkish culture. It’s a perfect spot to explore local tastes, shop for authentic products, and experience the bustling atmosphere of an Ottoman-era market still alive today.
Galata Bridge is one of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks, connecting Eminönü and Karaköy across the Golden Horn. The bridge has played an important role in the city’s history and daily life for centuries. Today, it is famous for its fishermen, waterfront views, restaurants, and lively atmosphere, offering beautiful views of Istanbul’s historic skyline and the Bosphorus

Our guide, Taner, was fantastic. Brought a ton of knowledge about Istanbul and expanded our interest in the ancient history of this area. Also - a really fun person to spend part of our day with. 10/10 recommend.
Great route and an outstanding guide, Deniz. He made the experience unforgettable—absolutely a must-do!
This tour was really well organized. Deniz was a great guide. Interesting museums and tea break point at the medrese was stunning. 10/10 tour.
Dennis was a great guide for this experience, and was extremely knowledgeable, communicative and friendly. Visiting two museums made the tour feel well-rounded as well.
The tour was really good and well organized. Everything went smoothly and we had a great time. Our guide, Deniz, was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a very enjoyable tour. I would definitely recommend it.
Deniz was an amazing tour guide for us! He possesses deep and expansive knowledge on the history of Anatolia, of the ancient world, of archaeology and even of the architectures that we happen to pass by on our way between destinations. He made the experience so meaningful and fun!
Deniz is the best tour guide i have ever had. He is literally a walking encyclopaedia about the history of Turkey, providing only the most relevant, interesting and meaningful information. Entrance to the museums and cafes was a breeze, I didn't need to lift a finger as Deniz anticipated my needs and went out of his way to ensure I was happy with the tour. We had a tea break at an art cafe that was a hidden gem as it had unique, original artworks on display as well as for sale (and artists creating work onsite) and delicious food and coffee. I could not recommend this tour more highly, specifically because Deniz ensured it was unforgettable. Thank you so much!
Deniz brought the Archaeology Museum to life with his stories and humor. We loved wandering through the museum and then hitting the Spice Bazaar for some amazing snacks and souvenirs. So much fun don’t miss it!
The Archaeology Museum was packed with incredible history, but Taner’s jokes and stories kept it lively. Wrapping up at the Spice Bazaar was like a party for our noses and eyes. Highly recommend if you want history with a side of fun! You are the man Tanerr!!
Our day with Taner was so much fun and full of surprises! The Archaeology Museum blew us away with its huge collection of ancient treasures, from statues to pottery, every piece had a story. Taner’s friendly and humorous approach made the whole experience feel like hanging out with a knowledgeable buddy rather than a typical tour. We learned so much without feeling overwhelmed. Then heading to the Spice Bazaar was such a cool way to end the day the colors, smells, and buzzing energy were amazing. Taner pointed out his favorite spots for snacks and souvenirs, which was a nice touch. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
