The aquarium is amazing. It has an incredible level of biodiversity, including sharks, stingrays, turtles, and many other species. It’s a fascinating place for both children and adults, with exhibits that really capture your attention. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Türkiye who wants to experience something different from the traditional cultural activities. It’s a great place to spend an entire day, and the experience is truly impressive.
Although the tickets are q bit expensive, we found the aquarium interesting and a good way to spend a few hours. The 3D helicopter flip was interesting if you are new to Istanbul, but made us all feel a little queasy. The Mirror maze is very amateurish and not worth paying extra for. There are a large variety of fish and sea mammals, and younger kids will love it.
Its impressive! Interesting place for everyone. I liked that its very well maintained. Aquariums are big and animals look like they are living well. The penguins were great, but I don`t think they belong there. They should have more space.
The best aquarium we as a family ever visited huge selection of sea life very well planned and very clean it was so big we had to take a break in between the rainforest at the end was something else highly recommended
Staff are rude and not welcoming, most of the screens with explanations were not working, part of the aquarium was under maintenence without pre notification, aquarium glass were not clean from inside. It was foggy in some areas, tickets were given to us at the entrance so we were not able to access the Egyptian museum which was paid already until we spoke to the customer services. Did not like the experience in general.
The aquarium, which is one of the largest in Europe, boasts a helpful front desk that provides excellent assistance. It houses a diverse range of creatures from both the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Although there was no tour guide available or any shows available, we enjoyed the impressive 3D Istanbul tour. However, the shopping mall was considered to be overpriced.
A very nice place to be and you will have a wonderful time if you love the sea life. Neatly done and superbly massive. Don't miss the mall in Florya as well. You can easily take the Marmarai line from Sirkeçi and travel via the magnificent rail line. You can use your istanbulkart (the red card for Istanbul public transportation).
Best experience we had. Especially Penguins and Amazon tropical forest replica, we really felt that we are in the middle of rain forest. That also inside a shopping mall, Amazing.
Visited this place with my wife. It was interesting and wonderful place. Recommend to visit. There are also shops here, if you want to do shopping.
Perfect location which you must visit, specially if you love fish. Great Designing, with rare sea creatures.
Me and my family had great time at Istanbul Aquarium. It was very educative and interesanting experiense for whole ages.
Everything worked out great for our group of 9. There was enough room for everyone on the bus/van, and the distance from our hotel, Hagia Sophia, was not very far. The exhibits in the aquarium were amazing and beautiful. The mall was very spacious with many floors. However, I just wished we had another hour or two to fully explore the stores and attractions.
Where to start? The desert-like tanks where there is no attempt to recreate the natural environment? The people trying to touch fish in open tanks (despite signs to the contrary)? The penguins with No natural light? The shy animals (like Moray eels) with no hiding place? The intense noise of screaming kids? The photo booths (‘dress up as aSultan’)? The hall of mirrors? There are some information boards which go into the degradation of the Mediterranean. And a few tanks with sponges/anemones. But overall, this has one objective. To entertain, not educate. I cannot recommend it to anyone. And to top it all, acres of plastic crap in the shop....what a message!
This aquarium has almost every kind of fish, it takes 3 to 4 hours to see all of it, there is a mirror labyrinth and a 5d cinema that would be fun for children.
the place is well maintained, clean and interesting. wide range of sea life to be observed and appreciated, not just by children but also for adults. easily accessible by train.
Awsome experience.loved it and my kids were so happy seeing all kinds of fish and sharks.i recommend every family ti visit
This restaurant has an amazing location overlooking the Marmara sea , two areas of seating outside viewing the sea and indoor , nice simple decor fan ceilings and Airconditions food is excellent service do slow although they have lots of waiters.
Various sharks and stingrays were absolute highlight for children, lots of interesting info about sea life and history, nice rain forest experience, really enjoyed it!

not worth the money
the tickets cost 20 Turkish Lira only

This tour is basically a taxi ride to the mall and back. The guide (is not really a guide) and you get dropped at the mall and aquarium. Maybe would have been better if the guide (who was also gong to the mall the 1st time) knew all the interesting bits in the aquarium and show them to you.

4 Rating. Good times with marine creatures and the underwater world. Swimming into the Mediterranean Sea, Marble Sea, Black Sea, and Gardens is a great feeling.
After seeing the Genoa aquarium, I can say that this aquarium is nice to visit with small children. It has many varieties of fish, but I was not particularly excited.
Istanbul Aquarium is a great place for family vacations and simply for those who love the underwater world. There are impressive shark tunnels, rare fish species, interesting theme areas and a great atmosphere. Everything is very beautiful, well-kept, the staff is polite, and the exhibitions themselves are thought out to detail. The only downside is the ticket price. 1,050 liras for admission seems expensive, especially if you're walking as a family. But if that point is not taken into account, only positive impressions remain. If you like oceanariums, then it is definitely worth visiting!
The aquarium is located on the top floor of the Florya shopping center. The aquarium is large and very interesting. O is divided into zones, for example, the Black Sea or the Mediterranean Sea. The huge moray eels and the underwater tunnel are impressive. Children will be interested not only in looking at the inhabitants of the underwater world, but also in visiting the ship and playing interactive games. Here you can see penguins, capybaras and tropical inhabitants.
We had lovely weather and since the aquarium was right by the sea we were able to enjoy it even after the tour. It is next to a shopping centre with lots of cafes and restaurants right by the sea!
Aquarium is a good way to spend time with children. Then shopping and the kids go upstairs to the game hall. Dining hall with plenty of quick snack options. The price in the TripAdvisor app just wasn't right for me. The aquarium ticket cost approximately 12 euros and not 83 euros.
Not cheap. A non-Turk ticket costs 600 liras. For a 9 year old child they paid 550 liras. It might be interesting to visit once. Children for sure. The zones are divided thematically. There is a "tropical forest" zone.
A beautifully built sealife with artificial tropical forest. There were even penguins there. Everything is nicely labeled. Toilets were clean. Crêpes was a bit expensive with just under 5.5eur converted 1eur 15.95tl
It was a very nice day for adults and especially for children.Interesting underwater world! We had the transfer there and back. Here you can eat well and shop very well. Very successful day
It is great and it is to be done again without hesitation during a next stay, because it deserves more than a day to appreciate better.
start with the aquarium to admire all the marine species, penguins and the Amazon rainforest to find themselves directly in the large shooping and dining area. must see
