Fat Taxi - Private Istanbul Airport (Ist) Transfer To City

After exiting baggage claim area, we searched endlessly for a greeter as our instructions saile After exiting the baggage claim area, we began searching for a greeter holding a Fat Taxi sign or a sign with our name on it. We never found such a greeter and he never found us. After a futile 30 minute search, we were forced to hire another taxi. I have apparently forfeited the money already paid to Viator and I shall be demanding a refund.

Nobody was there to meet me and nobody answered the viator message, WhatsApp or the phone. Ultimately I just used a regular taxi after waiting for over an hour.

Very correct instructions to find the collection point at gate 14 ( PS there is a bank of ATMS at that door … Zadaat didn’t charge me a fee for using it..others did some didn’t - just make sure you do NOT accept any banks offer of a conversion fee at 8%! Standard is 3%). It was a little hard getting attention of the PLUS person, just stand in front of the board and keep saying PLUS out loud - maybe they just thought I was with a man standing next to me? Anyway once established I was with Fat taxi it was easy follow them to the mega car park with a bunch of others and we all got our cars. Big vans with the plush seats and water bottle and fun roof lights. A nice drive in. After that I just what’s app the manager SINAN for my various requests at cheaper prices but always good to have access to a trip advisor review at the end just in case. Anyway , excellent reliable good cars seems a good price to me for a long 35-40 min drive in not busy time ( probably more if you in old town I was ion Bosphorus). I’ve already recommended to friends going in a few weeks

We were never picked up and had to use alternate transportation. The original directions to meet him were confusing. Instead of meeting us at the exit, he directed in an previous email to meet him at an alternative location. We tried on multiple attempts to contact him, but the number he provided us on whats app but could only get an answering machine. We repeatedly left a message with our phone number and ultimately he responded one hour later after we have already obtained alternate transportation

Everything seemed fine. We received confirmation of booking prior to our trip and the location to find our drivers upon arrival. There was no driver and no communication of why through email or phone. Luckily we met some very helpful people at the airport, a security guard and a taxi driver (who we ended up hiring to drive us to our hotel) that both used there own phones to call the number we had for the company. Both attempts went straight to voicemail. We come to find out the company was likely closed due to religious holiday. This was never communicated to us at booking or otherwise that they were closed, but they did charge the credit card when I booked. Save some time and money and take a taxi, or at least take out some question marks and hire a different company.

Please make sure you have Internet access after you have landed as they contact you by WhatsApp. After your booking is made make contact with them. They will guide you to the meeting point outside. Do not expect anyone to be standing there with a plaquered with your name on. The two drivers we had didn't speak much English. Overall, good service

Comfortable ride from airport to hotel. Was a bit confusing when we arrived -- had to turn our phones on and call the service to find out where to meet. Would have been better if they would have just told us to go to Door 14 upon arrival. And there was a bit of a wait before the driver arrived, but otherwise it was pretty smooth.

we appreciate that the driver helped us with suitcases as we are elderly and we need the help that he provided so thanks to the driver. The driver was driving quite fast although he seems to have the experience to not get into an accident. The driver was considerate in allowing us privacy in his car with the screen door close between the driver and the passages in the back.

Provided excellent service. The owner worked out a ride for me for a last minute trip to the airport. Being a solo traveler and unfamiliar with Istanbul, both drivers made me feel very comfortable and safe.

The car did not show up! Waiting for an hour, and hired another company. Terrible experience! Viator must drop Fat Taxi from their contractors.

The booking process was simple and professional and i received an immediate confirmation. However I received no further information re driver details and pick up location despite several emails and a phone call when I arrived at the airport, hoping they would have turned up anyway. They did not. Disappointing as Reviews were what persuaded me to choose them. FYI, the orange taxi fare from IST to Kadikoy today (10am departure) was 1100 Lira and driver was excellent

The driver wasn’t waiting for us as stated We stood outside the designated area and waited until I called the operating number and they told us he will come The car arrived very dirty on the outside The driver took us to our hotel and drove well No water in the car as stated either

The hotel booked the transport. The day before my arrival the representative contacted my via Whatsapp and gave me all the details where and how to meet the driver. Finding the spot on the airport was easy but finding the driver was a bit chaotic but that's the airport system, I am afraid, as I gathered. I had the same driver both ways, Burat who is very polite and a very safe driver which is a big plus in Istanbul and the highways around. I had a bottle of water and free wifi, and a safe drive. It was very considerate to give me the same driver for the departure as well. I was pleased with the service and I can recommend it.

They were not inside terminal as advised took an hour to find them with help of kind man at information center who phoned them. They were outside but with a different companies name on plaque. Driver messaging on phone all the trip, with van swerving as he drove. Van was nice newish mercedes’.

I have already used their services three times and every time it was excellent! The drivers arrived to the meeting point even before the scheduled time, to ensure the fast and smooth transfer. Sinan is very responsive and efficient at anytime of the day and night. My hotel reservation was rebooked to another hotel during my flight, but there was absolutely no problem to change the transportation destination even at the very short notice. Also even though the passport control took longer than expected, the company representative was waiting for me at the airport. Their cars are roomy, clean and very comfortable, while the drivers drive safely and wear the protective masks. Highly recommended!

Since my flight to Istanbul was cancelled 10 hours before scheduled flight, I cancelled FATTAXI transfer and I expecting no refund. It was late night and I asked Sinan if they can help. He answered immediately and arranged refund in total. For those few who had bad experience, I think they should just need to connect on Istanbul Airport Free WIFI and get in contact with FATTAXI, I’m sure they give you all instructions and not let you down. When I go next time to Turkey I use this company again for sure.

I travel a lot for work and leisure, and this has been the most seamless private transfer experience I have booked. Very easy to book the ride via the website, multiple payment forms available, super reasonable rates, and elegant rides. I have used Fattaxi many times now and it has never disappointed.

Buyer beware: this company cannot be reached by mail or telephone if problems happen. We booked a transfer and paid in advance. We received confirmation of the booking, but after that no information, neither as to where the driver would meet us or any other procedures, this despite an additional mail from our side enquiring about the modalities. On our arrival, there was no driver, and the company did not answer our calls. The only reason I am giving two stars is that we were contacted later and after a little prodding, received our money back. I can only hope that the other reviews are real, because their experience in no way matched with ours

I had to make a detour to pickup some stuff and they were very flexible and even did not charge me anything extra 👍

It was a seamless experience throughout - Communication was supper easy before the pick up, the car was really comfortable and the transfer was quick and easy overall. I’m definitely using it again next time I’m in Istanbul! Also the car was clean and there was plenty of room inside - it is much safer to use for those concerned of COVID than the classic yellow cabs.

Prior to arrival they sent photos of the location where their colleague would be waiting and the sign they will be holding. They also provided contacted via a WhatsApp number. Good English and communication skills, excellent service.

Very responsive and punctual, they do know how to take care of their customers. The ride is fairly priced considering the traffic in Istanbul and the distance. Highly recommend them!

Five star!!!!! Fantastic service. Sinan, the manager reaches out when you arrive or depart from the hotel to make sure you know the mercedes van is waiting for you. Rest assured that your transportation is taken care off and you don’t have to ever deal with the taxi guys and their small vehicles.

I chose Fat Taxi based on reviews seen on TripAdvisor and I can truthfully say that their 5 stars are fully deserved. Everything was perfect right from booking till the very end. They were always on time for collection and drop off. This was a private (not shared with anyone else) and their price was cheaper than anyone else out there! Communication was easy over WhatsApp which also made finding them outside airport arrivals a breeze (not to mention the sign with my name on!). The Mercedes we travelled in was super clean and smooth and the driver wore a mask and took all Covid-19 precautions. Fat Taxi kept in touch to confirm our return but unfortunately we ended up having to stay an extra day for self isolation because we came into contact with someone who tested covid-19 positive. This was very quickly resolved with a quick chat over WhatsApp so our shuttle was rearranged for the next day at no extra charge. Fat Taxi even offered to deliver food and medicine if we required it since we were stuck in our hotel when isolating - which was very kind of them. Overall we experienced perfect service from beginning to end and 100% recommend Fat Taxi to everyone. We will be booking with them next time we visit!

I reserved Fat Taxi Istanbul to shuttle me from IST to the city and from the city to SAW. They greeted me with a name card upon my arrival and had to wait quite a while for my car however, all that dissipated once I got into the car. The car was grand, spacious, spotless, with sanitizer all around. The driver was nice and made sure I was comfortable with our hour-long ride to the city. The drop-off was smooth. For my ride to SAW, my driver arrived on time and was courteous. I recommend Fat Taxi to anyone who wants secure transportation whether you are a party of one (like I was) or more. I plan on using them again for future trips and highly recommend that others do the same.
