It was a relaxing way to get to see some sights on the river and hear some history on the way. There was a snack/drink bar to buy from. You can sit indoors with large windows and tables or outside on chairs.

Standing proudly against the Istanbul skyline, the Galata Tower is far more than just a medieval stone tower; it's a timeless beacon steeped in history and captivating legends. As we see it rise majestically from the vibrant Galata district, imagine the centuries of stories it has witnessed. From its construction in the 14th century, it has served as a watchtower, a prison, and even an observatory. Legend says that it was from this very tower that Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi, an Ottoman polymath, achieved the impossible, soaring across the Bosphorus with artificial wings in the 17th century. Its panoramic views of the city have inspired countless artists and poets, and its enduring presence continues to whisper tales of Istanbul's grand past and vibrant present.

Though smaller than its European counterpart, Rumeli Hisarı, its weathered stone walls and historic towers quietly whisper tales of centuries past. It's a charming and significant landmark, offering a poignant glimpse into the strategic beginnings of the Ottoman Empire on these very shores.

This stop also offers excellent photo opportunities, especially with the grand Bosphorus Bridge majestically overhead, creating a spectacular backdrop. Beyond the palace, you'll find charming local spots and the tranquil atmosphere of this historic Asian district.
As our cruise gracefully glides towards the heart of Istanbul, prepare to be captivated by the iconic Maiden's Tower (Kız Kulesi). Perched on a tiny islet at the very threshold of the Bosphorus, this picturesque tower is much more than just a structure; it's a timeless symbol steeped in centuries of captivating legends and poignant history. Its unique silhouette adds an undeniable touch of enchantment to our journey, especially as dusk falls and it becomes beautifully illuminated, transforming into an enigmatic beacon that truly brings the tales of Istanbul to life.

The experience was simply astonishing. The price was brilliant and so cheap for what it was worth, and the time spent on the boat was more than enough to see all the sights along the river. We spent just under 2 hours and caught some very nice views with a great sunset setting. The crowd size was good as we were able to get seats in a good spot, and had a nice view too. At first I believe it was a bit crowded but space freed up as people went to grab coffees or go to the lower deck. The staff were good though we didn’t really need to interact much.
It was very easy to book. On the day of the excursion I was texted the ticket and place of meeting. Directions were easy to follow
The cruise was a great experience to explore Asia and European continents. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Knowledgeable guide. Instructions to find departure location was excellent.
Well organised, good communication and directions. Good value for money, friendly and helpful, clear English commentary. Pleasant stop off on Asian side. Food not fancy but tasty and well presented.
Excellent guide who explain everything very nice
This was a very nice cruise down the Golden Horn to the second Bosphorus Bridge. The timing was perfect as the setting sun cast it's rays over the coast and water. The guide pointed out all the sights and there was no problem getting good photographs. There were 2 sets of people on board. Some had booked a 3 hour cruise which includes free tea with cookies and an hours excursion on the Asian side. The rest had a 2 hour round cruise with no free refreshments; coffee and snacks could be purchased on board. Excellent value for money
Excellent and best price for 2 hours long time cruise
I had a wonderful time on the Bosphorus cruise in Istanbul. The views were absolutely beautiful, and cruising along the Bosphorus was a great way to see the city from a completely different perspective. Seeing the historic buildings, mosques, bridges, and waterfront scenery while traveling between the European and Asian sides was one of the highlights of my time in Turkey. The excursion was relaxing, well organized, and definitely worth the money. The staff and guide were friendly and made the experience enjoyable. There were also plenty of opportunities to take some amazing photos and videos along the way. I would definitely recommend this Viator excursion to anyone visiting Istanbul, especially if it’s your first time in the city. It’s a great way to experience the beauty of Istanbul without feeling rushed. Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had a great experience on the 3hr boat cruise along the Bosphorus 😊 The tour guides were very knowledgable and I learned a lot about Istanbul from a local perspective. The 1-hour stop on the Asian side of the Bosphorus was a nice touch 😁 I would rexommend this tour to anyone hoping for some good views of the city and interested in learning more about Istanbul.
Don’t be on time. Be early. Starting time was 1:15. We got there at 1:06 and said we’re on the dock but can’t find the ship. At 1pm we texted to say Uber was late and in traffic; that we’d be there at 1:08 for a 1:15 start time. They said okay, so they KNEW we were on the way. Got there at 1:11 and was told the boat already left. They never bothered to respond to our future texts or bothered to wait until at least 1:15 for us.
Boat ride was great. Scenery was awesome Lunch was actually on the boat. Drinks were not included, just water and tea. The stop in Istanbul on the Asian side was less than expected. It's a little town with virtually no shops, just a few restaurants.
I had such an amazing time on this Bosphorus tour! Travelling solo can be a little nerve-racking, and I actually got lost on my way there. Ergzi immediately called me on FaceTime and guided me with directions, which made me feel so much more at ease. When I arrived on the ship, she came over to say hello personally and even offered me a better table. She continued to check in throughout the evening to make sure I was enjoying myself and that I was okay, which was such a thoughtful touch. The staff were all incredibly attentive, and the entertainment was fantastic. The performers really gave 110% and got everyone involved, creating such a fun and lively atmosphere. I had an incredible time, even though I was there by myself. If you're visiting Istanbul, I would definitely recommend this tour. It's an absolute must-do!
I loved the tour, was very nice organized, great value for the money for $17, we had breakfast, boat tour and one stop on Asian side. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it
Good communication from Viator. Easy to follow directions to the boat. We walked from Arden City Hotel. The cruise was very informative. We even saw dolphins An altogether memorable experience. Thank you Viator.
very informative, scenic and relaxing trip. you can cover Istanbul in 2 hours with lot of knowledge or consider as starter of your isranbul trip
We booked the cruise with optional lunch and Asia stop for €25 per person. The tour was excellent- good boat, well guided. However, when on the boat, the staff said online tickets like ours didn't include lunch even though our tickets specified lunch was included. I queried with Viator and after reviewing, they agreed to refund 50% of our costs. Without this issue, I would have rated this tour 5 stars.
It was easy to find the boat. We sat outside on the open deck as we do not buy the breakfast package. We had an enjoyable time on the boat. There were so many magnificents buildings to see. The water was so beautiful, blue azzure especially when the sun was out. Taking a cruise is a must in Istanbul.
A beautiful way to spend a morning in Istanbul. Great tour. Breakfast was tasty fresh & plentiful served with Turkish tea. The views around the bay spectacular and the guide’s commentary was very informative. Spent some time in Asian Istanbul great to see. All in all a fab trip lasting 3hours and great value for money. Loved it!
For the money we paid, we couldn't have asked for more. A beautiful two hour cruise, with informative commentary on the sites we passed. Totally recommended.
Great experience and highly recommend this tour, the sunset/night tour is well worth it. Make sure you bring a light jacket for when the sun goes down.
Very interesting to find out so much information about history, people, culture. Thank you very much for this. I will recommend you with pleasure.
Food was discussing 3 to 4 stores to shop in but then again we only were given 40 minutes to browse 😳😤. Waste of money and time.
I spent some time looking for a Bosphorus sunsrt tour that would not be pricey, get back before dark, didn't include food, lasted 2hr., etc. I made a good choice! This company checked my boxes, and didn't disappoint. I am still surprised at the low price for what we got! It was a big boat (not a small luxury yacht), it wasn't crowded at all, and I really appreciated their two tour guides (narration in English and Russian), they were authrntic and looked/sounded genuinely excited to be on the job. I also liked that they gave us some quiet time to enjoy the peacefulness, while I learned so much, too.
Great value and price, one of the best memories from Istanbul. Ride was nice and the views were great.
Highly recommended!! We went as a group of 10 friends and had a really nice time. They gave us a tour and explained things for about the first half of the trip.
It was a good cruise. Very informative and relaxed
Everything was clear an we departed on time, the tour had 2 guides in English and Russian, was interesting to listen the history of the city.
Your on board staff were really kind, friendly and helpful. Tour guide on board explained everything well. Overall we had an awesome experience
It was an amazing experience, great views and very friendly and professional staff❤️❤️
Wonderful cruise along the Bosphorous! The guide was very knowledgeable and all the staff were kind. A great way to see and learn about the two sides of the strait.
For the price, this was a wonderful experience. A great way to see the harbour & city. The guides were knowledgeable & friendly
Good experience for the price
Amazing experince, great tour and guide. Fully recommended.
Everything was perfect! We loved the tour and had a great time during the 3-hour boat trip. The views were amazing and the whole experience was really fun. On top of that, the entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Thank you so much for such a wonderful time! 😊
A comfortable boat with a detailed commentary. There was plenty of room, not sure what it would have been like if it was full. Friendly and efficient staff. Good value for money
It was a nice and enjoyable experience. In this way you can realise the size of the city and learn more things about its history.
It went perfectly. Me and my partner really enjoyed our time thank you! We really appreciated you guys accommodating us since we were late and the boat had just departed. Highly recommend it!
Enjoyed our trip today, very good value for money, friendly guides. With the option to purchase snacks/tea ect. Perfect amount of free time on Asian side also. Would highly recommend to fellow tourists.
everything was perfect, the guides and atmosphere, and i like that there was a photographer and he did very good pictures for a great price
Very well organized. Friendly and knowledgeable guides. On time. Worth experiencing the Bosphorus, starting out on the Horn.
My visit with your guidence make me comfortable for explaining every moment at every place .
The Bosporus cruise tour in Istanbul was a wonderful experience. The views of the city from the water were stunning, with beautiful sights on both the European and Asian sides. The guides were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, making the tour informative and easy to follow. They clearly explained the history and landmarks, which made the journey even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a relaxing, well-organized tour and a great way to see Istanbul from a different perspective.
We had a very good experience on the 3-hour Bosphorus tour. The guide provided important and helpful details throughout the trip, which made the experience informative and enjoyable. The guide spoke very clear and understandable English The only downside was the 30-minute stop at the tour location. Although there isn’t much to do in that area, even if you want to eat or relax briefly, 30 minutes felt rushed. Overall, it was a pleasant and well-organized tour, and we would still recommend it.
Worth the trip! Not much time to invest, but much to see! We had good weather also, so that was great.
The boat tour was a wonderful expérience! We enjoyed it very much! The duration was good and the sights are definitely interesting to see.
My kids and I had an amazing erperience on the tour. The tour guide explained Istanbul very well. They were very nice and friendly. We saw the Asian side and the tour guide showed us all the cafe and shops. Best tour i have had so far.
It was a very nice trip. Aldo, there was snowing (yes in January 😀 it can be a possibility to snow, but we nver thought that in Istanbul we will get snow), the presentation was interesting and detailed.
Very nice trip. The sights of the incredible Istanbul by the Bosphorous were amazing and the fact it was snowing it was a magic day for the kids. What I would only change is the time to walk in the city and give at least the hour it was said in the tour. We were only given 30 minutes and with kids we couldn't have the chance to walk farther than the port area. Other than that it was a great day.
