We just had a wonderful day with Renan who was our private guide around Istanbul. We traveled with our 1.5 year old and 4 year old daughters and she was kind and patient throughout the day with them, even helping us push the stroller at times. She customized the tour based on our interests and requests, and adjusted throughout the day based on how we were feeling. She was also an encyclopedia of knowledge of the history of Turkey and Istanbul, and a wonderful storyteller. Thank you for a memorable day in Istanbul, Renan!
It was a fantastic tour. Bora, our tour guide, had enormous knowledge and a competent but also entertaining way of sharing it. A wonderful truly memorable day.
We were met promptly by our guide, Renan Saylag at our hotel and were asked what we would like to see. Renan explained that the main sites would involve long queues and we agreed that we would prefer to experience the real Istanbul rather that wasting time in queues. Renan walked us round places that we would never have ventured to on our own. We were not disappointed. My wife was very happy with the artisan shoe makers shops, handbags too! We experienced the Grand Bazaar and a lesser known mosque before arriving at the Blue Mosque, the queues were still there! Renan was a super guide, passionate about her city. Her command of English was excellent. We would certainly want her as our guide on our next visit to Istanbul, which will happen. Thoroughly recommended.
Our tour guide, Renan, was amazing! She is beyond knowledgeable about Istanbul and its culture. She is kind, funny, and very friendly! We had the best day and she made our private tour exactly what we wanted! She is also a great photographer! We saw so much and she explained in detail and passion about life and culture in Istanbul. We saw Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar. We had amazing Turkish coffee and delights and teas from the most incredible places. We learned how to hand loom pure silk carpets! It really was a fantastic day and Renan made it even more special with her friendship!
Very good experience The city is amazing And our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful I strongly recommend the experience
Today I took a private tour in Istanbul with Ada Travel, and the experience was exceptional. The guide was very professional, friendly, and kind, as well as extremely patient. He explained everything in great detail, helped us take photos at every place we wanted, and was always attentive to our needs. I highly recommend them: if you visit Istanbul, don’t hesitate to contact them.
Istanbul was a fantastic city to visit, with a real depth of history and culture to explore. There is an abundance of historical buildings, museums, exhibits etc. that provided fantastic examples of the significant importance this city has been on the history and development of the world. Our experience was truly enhanced by the depth of knowledge and passion that our local Viator guide had for their city. They provided a detailed history from early BC to the present day; highlighting the changing architecture throughout the ages.
Sedat Gülen was our private guide during 3.5 days in Istanbul. We went to the main landmarks, he advised us where to eat and buy. It was an unique experience that for sure we will hope and like to repeat again. Thanks Sedat for your outstanding companion during these days. Mónica & José
The sites were amazing, featuring tons of historic buildings and beautiful artwork and architecture. My guide, Ugurcan, took me to the best place to see how carpets are made and showed me around the Grand Bazaar. The whole experience was a 10/10; I highly recommend it.
We had such an informative and interesting day with Ali. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable guy. He answered all of our questions and made the tour of the sites much more interesting and fulfilling. We really enjoyed it.
Wonderful tour. My husband and I were picked up at the port after our cruise and dropped off at our hotel at the end, so convenient. Our tour guide (Cugcuk, I'm sorry I may have spelt that completely incorrect) was amazing. He shared so much knowledge on the history of the area and buildings. We visited the major sights as stated in the description, had lunch at the Grand Bazaar, and had sufficient time to browse around. There was about an hour wait to the Hagia Sofia and unfortunately the Blue Mosque was closed for entry due to Friday prayer. A lot of walking which we were okay with. Overall we really enjoyed this tour and definitely recommend it for your first time in Istanbul.
Very thorough walking tour that hits all the main must-see spots in central Istanbul. Going as a couple with a guide is much better than being part of a big group! Our guide, Faut, had special skills at getting us through long lines quickly which saved both time and energy. He was also helpful and reassuring about the rules that pertain to visiting mosques. Personally, I could have done without the stops at the carpet and pottery stores; I suggest you tell the guide you would rather do something else unless you are really here to try your skills with a Turkish rug merchant.
Our tour guide Naz was unapproachable and abrasive at times. She rubbed us the wrong way from the moment we met, and it impacted our day. Istanbul was so crowded it was difficult to see anything. We got very little value for what we paid for. Naz marched us around the city for at least 5 hours (often losing us in the crowd because she didn’t wait for us) and yet after 5 hours we still saw only 2 of the promised attractions. We also paid for the tickets for Topkapi palace and they didn’t work - we waited in line for over 30 minutes (this tour didn’t allow any skipping the line) only to be denied entry because the tour didn’t arrange the tickets correctly. We should be refunded at minimum for the pre paid tickets that didn’t work, but honestly for the whole experience as we spent a lot of money for a difficult and disagreeable guide (who also took us to her own family’s store for shopping?) We didn’t see half the attractions promised and paid for in this tour. Would not recommend and really put a negative spin on our time in Istanbul.
Istanbul is very crowded and busy. This was a great way to see it without feeling overwhelmed. Our guide was very informative and let us set our own pace.
our guide was amazing, he took the time to show us all we could see in the time we had. it was a wonderful experince
It was a great tour with a wonderful tour guide, however it was a walking tour. The car drops you off then you walk all day. Be prepared.
This was a great tour. Our guide orchun knew how to navigate through the area and reduce the amount of time spent standing in lines with everyone else. So much to see in one day, lots of walking but well worth the effort.
This tour company saved my vacation. I had accidentally booked our tour for the wrong day- but we were on a cruise and only in port for one day. They immediately rearranged everything and found us a tour guide who arrived at the Galataport within twenty minutes. Ugurcan handled everything for us- we skipped lines any time we needed to buy a ticket, he took us to the sights we wanted to see in the most efficient way so that even with our late start we saw everything on our list. All that and he had the best retreat in the grand bazaar to pause and try Turkish coffee! He was personable and knowledgeable, and I am just delighted with our Istanbul experience.
My wife and I had a wonderful time in Istanbul. Thanks to this excursion and more importantly to Naz, our guide. She was friendly and courteous and made sure we were comfortable and made sure we covered all the sites. We highly recommend this excursion.
We were not able to see all of the places on the tour because of long lines. The guide kept saying we should have started earlier but we were not told this before the tour. Istanbul is a very large and crowded city and everything takes time. Luckily we visited the Grand Bazaar the day before or that would have been a missed opportunity as well. The Topkapi Palace was very impressive as was the Blue Mosque but that andcthe hippodrome was the extent of our tour.
Our guide, Seref, was amazing. Obviously, loves his job and was so knowledgeable, patient and plenty of time for our questions. Would recommend this man to anybody doing this tour
Fatma was our guide in Spanish. He picked us up at our hotel and told us a little bit about the history of Istanbul. Then we head to tour the racetrack, Hagia Sophia, blue mosque and the great bazaar. We had an amazing day thanks to Fatma.
We were lucky to have Sedat as our guide in Istanbul and we can’t be happier with the experience. From the first moment he customized each visit so that we could make the most of our time, showing us not only the most emblematic places but also unique corners that we would never have discovered on our own. Sedat made us feel comfortable, safe and super well taken care of at all times. A unique experience thanks to its professionalism and warmth. 100% recommended if you want to discover Istanbul in the best way!!!
