Sedat was a phenomenal tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, showing a very deep understanding of Turkish history, as well as other regions relevant to our tour. He was relaxed and friendly, very accommodating to our small requests like lunch break etc. I’d highly recommend booking with him for a great tour.

We had a wonderful full day walking tour (plus tram) with our delightful, fun, vibrant, friendly knowledgeable tour guide Zel! She gave in depth insights into the complicated history of Istanbul and Turkey generally. Zel kept us safe, looked after every aspect of the day and magically helped us skip the line at all ticketed venues. We saw the Blue Mosque, Topaki Palace, Hagia Sophia, Cisterns and Grand Bazaar but didn't feel rushed. Highly recommended!

Suleyman was totally amazing. We had the best seven hours full of history, full of artistry, full of knowledge of the various religions that have ruled and shaped this beautiful city. It was really an exceptional tour. Suleyman is a great guide but what also made it special is the real care he took of us at every step. The communication from the tour operator prior to our trip was also excellent. Final note…. If you are on a cruise ship and don’t want to pay stupid prices for laundry, they will take you to somewhere you can drop it off and then you pick it up on the way back. Ours was 12 USD versus over 100 on the ship!!

My wife and I were visiting from Sweden and were very interested in exploring food and culture. The hotel arranged a 6 hour private tour with Zel and it was great. We covered the historic old part of Istanbul (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cisterns, Grand Bazaar). She kept a great pace, was extremely knowledgeable about all the things we asked about. She was also well connected knowing vendors, other guides, ticket sales clerks and restauranteurs...this enabled a smooth and fast experience where we did not have to wait for anything really and we were confident in shopping. We capped it off with a long and large lunch where we learned a lot about local food.

Excellent tour! Zel was very nice, she personalized our tour and took us to amazing places. She gave us the full explanation of the old city, great food recomendations and the best attitude!

Josh was an outstanding guide—extremely knowledgeable, personable, and professional. We did a private walking tour of the Sultanahmet district with him and couldn’t be happier with the experience. He helped us skip the long lines, tailored the pace and stops to our interests, shared fascinating insights into Turkish history, and even guided us through shopping at the Grand Bazaar. We booked our Old City trip through our hotel and it was flawless! Our guide, Josh his name for us since hard to say his Turkish name, was/is phenomenal. He was very educated in Turkish History and tailored the trip around my 14 year olds short attention span. He knew a lot of locals and was so fun to actually hang with. His English was excellent and genuinely wanted us to have a great time. I can’t say enough and would recommend him. My son and I were kinda bummed the day had to end because he was so personable and easy to ask questions to!

This tour was fantastic. Our guide helped us to experience the history, culture and food, of Istanbul. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

We did the walking tour with Suleyman as our guide and we all really enjoyed it! I highly recommend a guide if you want to visit Topkapi Palace otherwise it would be hard to navigate since the palace was huge!!!

It was a wonderful private tour by our knowledgeable, kind and friendly guide Suleyman! Istanbul is a beautiful and vibrant city with history and culture abound. The highlight for us was the Basilica Cystern. Sulyman was thorough and accommodated our every wish.

Fantastic guide with incredible patience. Suleyman met us at 9am and led us throughout Istanbul until 6pm. He has an impressive depth and breadth of knowledge about the city and its sights. In addition, he knows all the best vendors in the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar - so we got actual deals. Like, actual deals, not shady ones. Extraordinarily friendly and clearly loves what he does. Highly recommended.

The walking tour we had with Suleyman was just plainly excellent! He picked us up at our hotel and guided us through Sultanahment. He was very knowledgeable on the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, Cistern, Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque. He pointed out the key facts and made sure we saw the highlights. Sulayman spoke clear English (and found out he is also fluent in Chinese). He also was key in making sure we did not fall in line for long as he was able to time when we visited each site. The tour was 9-5pm but was pretty comprehensive and we certainly learned a ton! There was no pressure sell. I would highly recommend this tour and I’d request Sulayman if you can. He is an excellent guide

So very happy that we started our 4 day visit to Istanbul with a walking tour with Suleyman!! He is a delightful guide and never tired of all our many questions. Our day included many of the popular sites but also introduced us to the tram system, how to access the ferries, and many suggestions for activities and restaurants for our following days.

A fantastic tour of Istanbul with Bilge our guide. We visited the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, and Hagia Sophia all as part of a walk around the old city. Bilge was knowledgeable, fun and gave us a great insight into Istanbul history and its people. All four of our party thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Toured with Gozde and had an amazing experience. She was knowledgeable about all the historical places we visited, pointed out all the key things that made Istanbul special. Got great pictures. This walking tour was the best. Tasty lunch was included at a popular local spot.

My husband and I were fortunate while in Istanbul to get a personal guided tour through the Olea Travel Agency. Our guide for the day? Bilge Baydan. It was the best, most comprehensive experience we ever had. Bilge was the consummate professional. She was knowledgeable, organized, friendly, and a joy to spend time with. In one day she was able to cover four major tourist sites clearly explaining the historic and cultural significance of each. She helped us to appreciate and understand a city with Greek, Roman and Ottoman influences. It was an amazing experience, never to be forgotten - thanks to Bilge Baydan.

Organised via the hotel, our guide was prompt, friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. A fluent English speaker, Suliman suggested a walking tour of Istanbul that would show us historic sites as well as getting behind the scenes of the city a little more. This private tour was very good value and gave us a great insight into the history of some of the iconic buildings and events in the old city and also allowed us to get orientated on our first full day. Recommended.

Sam, or Suleyman (his Turkish name), was our guide. He was wonderful - warm, knowledgeable, attentive and resourceful. His smart planning saved us a lot of time, which would otherwise being wasted on long waiting lines. We had a fabulous time in exploring the beauty of many Istanbul wonders such as the Topkapi Place and the AyaSofia, and at the same time appreciating the history and culture behind those magnificent architectures. The fact that Sam also speaks Fluent Chinese was a pleasant surprise, too!

Suleyman(Sam!) was a wonderful guide for our short stay. He got us to all of the sites we wanted to see. He has an incredible memory and understanding of the city, and he awesome little anecdotes to make it a memorable day.

One of the best trip upto date. Our guide Suleyman was very knowledgeable, courteous and patient as we took more time at one place than others. He made the history interesting by giving us in a story form. Did I mention, he is the best photographer as well. We are very happy that he was with us to explore this great city with such an incredible history.

Had an amazing day tour with Josh in Istanbul. Took us to many of the sites, had lots of knowledge, good English and fun personality. He also showed us how pay for and use the tram. Only needed to swipe your credit card ($1) each ride. No need for transportation card. Took us to a great restaurant and had a good sampling of Turkish food. Also went to an authentic, family operated rug company featuring hand-made Persian rugs and out to the Golden Horn to see the water front! Great day and well worth the $140 for the day. Ran into him again the next day and he helped us buy a rug.

We arranged to take a one day sight seeing tour of the main historic sites. Our Guide was Gozde. She was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and we felt comfortable with asking any questions. Most importantly she explained how the day was planned but was also flexible with our personal requirements for a break for lunch and ensuring we were not rushed with plenty of time at each place. We had to go get a refund as when we purchased tickets for one venue we were over charged. Gozde supported us with this.

I went to a complete old city tour with Gozde. She was extremely knowledgeable. I loved learning interesting facts and amazing historical tales about the city. It was my first time visiting Istanbul and I did a tour around Sultanahmet area with Ugurcan. We visited Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Cistern Basilica, Grand Bazaar and a little bit of Tokepi. He was very knowledgeable and very warm - it doesn't feel like a tour, it feels more like visiting places with a friend who lives in Istanbul and knows the gems in the city. He has interesting stories and insights on historical places, and he maintained a really good pace of the tour. Ugurcan was super helpful with my request to stop and shop as well - we visited a really nice bookstore and some other shops (and I am impressed with his selection of shops - those that he pointed to me was of good quality and helped me avoid scams). He also helped me orient myself to Istanbul's public transport and many different neighbourhood around. All in all, it was such a good experience and I really recommend going with him for your Istanbul experience!
