We had a wonderful experience City of Sultans and would highly recommend the tour agency. Everything was very well organised from start to finish and the arrangements were handled smoothly and professionally. A special thank you to Yagiz for his care, support and prompt communication throughout our trip. Whenever we had a question or needed assistance, he was always quick to respond and very helpful. The tour guides were also friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We really enjoyed visiting all the beautiful places in Turkey and having everything organised for us made the trip so much easier and stress-free. Thank you to the whole team for looking after us so well. We had a fantastic trip and made many beautiful memories in Turkey!

I would highly recommend booking your next tour of Istanbul with Kemal at City of Sultans Day Tours. Our experience in this wonderful city was absolutely fantastic, thanks to him. Kemal was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of Istanbul. His knowledge, humour, and genuine passion for his city were evident and made the experience well worth it. What made the experience truly unforgettable was how personalized it felt. Rather than delivering a scripted tour, Kemal tailored the day around our interests, making sure we experienced both the iconic landmarks and some of the hidden gems of Istanbul. His warmth, enthusiasm, and attention to detail made the entire day so enjoyable and memorable. We learned so much, had plenty of laughs, and felt like we were exploring the city with a friend rather than simply taking a tour. If you’re visiting Istanbul and want to experience the city beyond just the usual tourist attractions, I highly recommend Kemal. He truly made our time in Istanbul special, and we would happily book with him again
Overall experience was fine except that Antalya is highly overrated and specially it trips and travel agencies specially Mars Travels are fraud, all the beaches are occupied by cafés and hotels, people speak only Turkish and faced great difficulty in conversing in English. Food was bland and cold. Turkish tea and coffee was good. Cappadocia and Istanbul were good to stay and enjoy.
Mr. Ozgur Ates did a great job of customizing the entire tour to our requirements. Everything was very well organized, done in timely fashion and went very smooth. When our balloon ride in Cappadocia got canceled he quickly made alternative arrangements so that we could go to the ride the next day. The hotel selection for the silver package was very luxurious. We certainly recommend CityofSultans for your tour!
This review for City of Sultans 12 Days Grand Turkey Tour. My review is based on the dates March 29, 2026 through April 9, 2026. The tour did not add up to a 5 Star experience. My grade is 3 stars based on the following: 1) The hotel accommodation in Istanbul, Legacy Ottoman Hotel, is far from a 5 star hotel. This hotel targets low cost tourist budgets and is in need of many improvements. I made my tour packager, On the Go Tours, aware of my concerns based on established reviews and was told after checking with City of Sultans that all issues at the hotel have been resolved. Not even close – the room assigned was dingy, poorly lit and the safe did not function. We waited 3 hours for the hotel staff to drill into and open the safe. The breakfast food is way below average. Eggs were cold and overall 2) Fortunately, City of Sultans changed our Istanbul hotel accommodations to the slightly better Hotel Amira for the final night of the tour. 3) The Best of Istanbul in 1 Day was disappointing. The tour guide went through the paces and persuaded us to skip Topkapi Palace due to wait times and renovations. 4) Tourist Trap carpet, leather goods, ceramic and jewelry . Each tour day, all tours had multiple stops at vendor locations. NOWHERE IN THE DOCUMENTATION DESCRIBING EACH DAY’S ACTIVITIES IS THERE MENTION OF TOURIST TRAP STOPS TO ATTEND SALES PRESENTAITONS. At least two hours a day are wasted and my research indicates the tour company and/or tour guide is paid a commission! 5) In Cappadocia we were placed in a bargain basement hotel which amounted to a bare mountain cabin. City of Sultans told us the hotel in the marketing materials, Fresco Caves, was under renovation. Funny, Booking.com showed room availability and we were stuck at the bare bones / dirty hotel for a night. City of Sultans changed out room for the last 2 nights. I feel we were placed in a way below marketed experience either for budget purposes or lack of care to details and concern for the tourist. All in all, I am disappointed in City of Sultans and highly recommend any tourist considering their tour packages to avoid this tour operator.
The walking tour in Istanbul was amazing! Our Tour Guide Kemal Aslan was the most professional, knowledgeable, courteous, well informed and patient guide we have ever had. His knowledge was outstanding and we feel very lucky to of had him with us for this memorable experience. Thank you for providing such a wonderful tour guide . Kemal definitely made this tour great value, a great experience and created wonderful memories… thank you Kemal Aslan
Our trip through Turkey was a wonderful experience with Viator. The communication was excellent and someone was always available to assist with questions. Each individual tour provided us with knowledgeable and entertaining tour guides and the transportation was adequate and our hotel rooms were very good. In Istanbul we were able to walk to the river and experience the wonderful cuisine along the way. Our tours were small group, in one case we were the only passengers. My husband had difficulty in the walking tour of the historical structures in Istanbul and the guides worked hard to ensure that we were able to participate. This is not a tour where the guides are along with you. You have to follow instructions provided daily and make your own way through the airports. We had no issue getting assistance- the tour guides and the people of Türkiye were extremely helpful. I would recommend this tour to family and friends and would definitely consider another trip through Viator.
Beautifully organized and executed tour. All transportation and transfers went according to plan. The sights were well chosen, and each tour guide was first rate. Ozgur was a great communicator, always quick to reply to all messages.
The company arrangements made the tour smooth and nice! It was a great experience to travel in Turkey and we enjoyed it a lot. All the best wishes to them!
The tour was amazing as well as Ozgur, the organizer, he was always available for all our questions and to ensure daily activities and pick ups. We had different tour guides but they all were great, always punctual and informative, our drivers, though some didn’t speak fluent English they used their phone translator, this was only on airport transfers.
I recently completed the “Exclusive Wonders of Turkey in 10 Days” small group tour with City of Sultans Tour Agency, and I couldn’t have been happier with my decision to choose them. After reaching out to multiple agencies, City of Sultans stood out for their clarity in communication, flexible itinerary, ability to accommodate hotel preferences, excellent recommendations, and very reasonable pricing. From the start, I was impressed with Mr. Ozgur, who handled all of my endless queries with prompt and detailed responses. His flexibility in adjusting our hotels to suit our needs was a major plus, and his attentiveness didn’t stop there. Throughout the entire trip, Mr. Ozgur checked in on us regularly, ensuring that everything was going smoothly. He coordinated flawlessly with local guides, kept us informed about itinerary updates, and made sure we were well taken care of. Whether it was late at night or early in the morning, he was always available, offering peace of mind that we were in good hands. The tour itself was fantastic, with well-curated stops, comfortable hotels, and great attention to our vegetarian food requirements. The local guides were knowledgeable, and the vehicles provided throughout the tour made our journey both smooth and comfortable. At every stage, we felt warmly welcomed and completely at ease. I would highly recommend City of Sultans to anyone looking to tour Türkiye. Their professional service, personal touch, and commitment to making your trip memorable are truly commendable. If you’re seeking an exceptional travel experience in Türkiye, look no further!
Amazing experience exploring Türkiye with City of Sultans. Ozgur and his team created a perfect itinerary, handling all logistics from transportations, various hotels, many tours in different cities and even domestic plane tickets for a very affordable price. Ozgur was available 24/7 and promptly responded to any questions months before our tour even started. All tour guides were friendly and knowledgable and gave us a front row, VIP experience in the attractions. Starting in Istanbul we had detailed tour of Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand bazar, Bosphorus cruise, basilica cistern and other sites. After a Turkish airlines flight to Kapadokyia we participated in an unforgettable hot air balloon ride and stayed at a cave hotel. Our tour guide Hakkan was amazing and with our group for two full days.In Antalya we saw beautiful waterfalls with Cem. In Kusadasi Pamukkale was an unforgettable site. We had private 3 hr transport to Ephesus ruins which are well preserved roman ruins and Orgun gave us a great and indepth tour. All hotels and transport were very nice and arranged to our preferences. Accommodations were promptly made when some members of our group could not participate in a certain excursion in an itinerary or we had to change an itinerary last minute. I have taken guided tours in various countries , but this tour with City of Sultans was truly the most personalized, most in depth and affordable experience of all. Thank you Ozgur and City of Sultans for a memorable experience!

We did the 10 day turkey tour and Ozgur organized and booked everything according to our preferences; he was exceptional in meeting our needs even with several last minute changes and requests All the tours and guides were professional, punctual and friendly with helpful suggestions and we had a great time! Would highly recommend to anyone wa the to see all the sights in a short period with the highest comfort, and hope to book again with them in other cities where they operate Thank you for a memorable trip!
Amazing Istanbul tour. Our tour guide Baris was very knowledgeable, friendly and very proud of his roots. Thank you for such a lovely time
I was apprehensive as to how to go about with my tour around turkey being a big country with many things to see and do. So I wasn’t sure whether I could go free & easy or to booked a full fledged tour from Singapore. Based on my past experiences through viator being really good, I decided to go on viator to see the tours offered. After much thought, I chose city of sultan based on the positive reviews and boy were the reviews accurate. This option was fantastic as it provided me with the best of both worlds. We had the day tour with the guides (which is much needed to explain the history) and then it was free and easy for us the rest of the time. My partner and I were heavily impressed with how organised and personalised the itinerary that was planned out by Ozgur for us. He had mostly private drivers to fetch us from every point, booked decent nice hotels and also pretty much planned our trip for us including the domestic flights between cities. For the day tour, we would have different tour guides at each location from 9am to 5pm and the groups are small or private with other tourist from the US, Europe, Asia. (2 to max 10 people) So that was fun interacting and meeting people. So u get a really comprehensive and personal tour including lunch. then after the day tour, it was free and easy for us to do our shopping or explore on our own in the evening as it was very safe there in Turkey. Everyday Ozgur will also update us on our itinerary so we felt like we were taken care off all the time. He even went an extra mile to help my partner obtain his bag that he had left behind at a hotel and got it sent to us in another city ON A SUNDAY. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Definitely heavily recommended.
We found City of Sultans/Ozgur Ates through google and contacted him. Our trip to Istanbul, Cappadocia, Antalya, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Kusadasi was amazing. Ozgur & team delivered everything and more as promised. The hotel accommodations, flights, pickup/ drop and the meals were extremely good. The guides were very professional and explained the historical and culural significance of each site. We had a wonderful and memorable vacation. Ozgur was always available to answer any questions and concerns we had during the trip. He responded very promptly to all questions. We highly recommend City of Sultans to anyone who plans to have a memorable visit to Turkey. Thanks City of Sultans and Ozgur/team for making our vacation so memorable.
I’m an avid traveler and I usually travel on my own, however I recognize the advantages and disadvantages of traveling with a tour. Based on my personal experience some tour companies are too strict and the whole trip feels like a Boot Camp, yet you get to see the most. This time I decided to give this company a chance and I can assure you It was the best thing I could ever do to see Turkey’s most iconic places. So let me give you a brief overview of my whole experience. Before the trip started Ozgur contacted me to get my passport information and book the domestic flights, he was very polite and available when I had any sort of question. On day 1 my pick up was waiting for me at the airport, brought me to Recital Hotel in the old town. The hotel was perfectly located, comfortable and their staff very accommodating. Next two days, we were introduced to beautiful Istanbul’s must see attractions. Then, we flew to Capadoccia (this region took my heart away ) beautiful landscapes, fun outdoor activities and kind simple people. I stayed at the Under Cave hotel where I was treated like part of the family . We were taken to wonderful historic sites, great restaurants and had plenty of leisure time. Next destination was Antalya, which I also enjoyed it very much , then Pamukkale and to end this journey in Kusadasi with a beautiful ocean view hotel, amazing beaches, great restaurants and scenery. On this tour every single one from the drivers, tour guides , hotel staff and especially Ozgur made my trip an unforgettable experience . Thus, if you want to visit Turkey , see the best places and get treated like royalty this is your tour.
It was my best travel abroad ever. Ozgur was amazing and really on top of everything. We did not have to worry about anything except enjoying ourselves. It was really nice and the tour guides spoke perfect english. Also, the visits were quite intriguing 😍
From the shocking calls to prayer for the Muslim people during the day (adhan), the extreme kindness of the Turks, their love and respect for animals so marked, the food so spectacular, the polite, honored, the impeccable art everywhere , all the history enclosed in its antiquities ... the experience of being inside its palaces and mosques, navigating the Marmara, the Bosphorus and the Mediterranean, in those full day trips full of imposing landscapes, its turquoise and blue beaches, swimming in its waters and achieve total relaxation… there are no words to describe what was experienced in Turkey 🇹🇷 without a doubt, never to forget! Blessed God therefore. City of Sultans was there when we needed them, itinerary was accordingly, guides were awesome. Thanks Ozgür! A vacation… to remember , Karla Hidalgo Díaz 🇨🇷 Costa Rica
