The Stay Nisantasi Hotel

I would like to formally dispute the €200 damage charge. The white marks shown in the photos are nail polish and can be removed; this is not permanent damage. Regarding the marks on the glass/table, I was told they were allegedly caused by placing a bag on the surface, but I do not believe these minor marks justify a €200 charge. I also want to point out that the sofa was already dirty and stained, including chocolate and other stains, before I arrived at the property. What concerns me most is that the amount charged is exactly €200, which is the full amount of the insurance/deposit. I would therefore like to see an itemized breakdown explaining how the €200 was calculated, including the actual repair or cleaning costs, invoices or receipts, and evidence that these damages were caused during my stay. I am happy to take responsibility for any genuine damage caused by me, but I do not agree with being charged the full €200 without evidence that the actual cost of repair or cleaning amounts to €200.

The hotel is located on a nice street in a quiet area. Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. The entrance, lobby, and rooms are all very small, and the rooms have no wardrobes. The bathroom, especially the shower, did not feel clean and looked old and in need of renovation. The curtains were also too small to fully cover the windows, allowing sunlight into the room and making it difficult to sleep. The soundproofing is very poor. Even with normal conversations, reception would call and ask us to keep the noise down. I understand the need to respect other guests, but the noise was not at a late hour. I also requested an item from reception, but my request was never fulfilled. In addition, one of the housekeeping staff complained out loud about the room being messy, which I found unprofessional. The only positive thing I would mention is that there were two staff members at the entrance whose names I unfortunately don’t know. They were extremely kind, friendly, and welcoming. Overall, these issues affected my experience, and I would not book this hotel again.

The Stay Nisantasi is a smart choice if you want to feel embedded in real Istanbul rather than tucked away in a resort bubble. The Nişantaşı location is genuinely walkable and upscale without being touristy, and the staff are exceptional — arriving at 1:30am after a brutal travel day, we were welcomed like actual humans. Rooms are spacious by city standards, AC works brilliantly, but the shower is tiny and the curtains don’t fully block morning light. Great value overall. Would return.

The location of The Stay Nisantasi is perfect!! It’s situated in the heart of this luxury neighborhood of Istanbul! It’s surrounded with brand shops, just at the right side of Prada and you can easily make your shopping and leave the bags directly to your room and be always hands free, without the need for a taxi or holding heavy bags with you! The staff are always available, welcoming, friendly, and give you advice for everything! The rooms are also very comfortable, quiet, clean and offering Nespresso Coffee, Tea, Water for free!!
