Ritus Hotel in Istanbul is genuinely beautiful in a way that feels effortless. The aesthetic is stylish and calming, and everything—from the overall ambiance to the little visual details—feels carefully considered. You walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special, not just a hotel that looks nice in photos. It has that warm, polished atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your stay. The food was another highlight, especially the way it was prepared and presented—everything tasted fresh and satisfying. But what impressed me and my wife the most was the staff: attentive without being pushy, kind, and clearly focused on making guests comfortable. The care showed up in the small things every day, from how smoothly everything was handled to how naturally they anticipated what we might need. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcomed from start to finish.

The biggest downside of this hotel is the prejudice against Russian guests, especially at the reception! First of all, we were the only ones assigned a room on the first floor. All the other guests from different countries were accommodated on higher floors. But fine, we let that go. The staff claim they don't speak Russian. In other words, they pretend not to understand it! They only want to communicate in Turkish or English. Everywhere else you go, people treat you in a friendly manner. If we see that someone is making an effort but struggles to speak Russian, we are always happy to switch to their language or to English. But here, the staff deliberately refuse to speak Russian. They seem to cater exclusively to guests from other countries. The food, housekeeping, and rooms are all excellent. However, this huge downside overshadows everything else. The way guests are treated matters enormously. During breakfast, the staff always approach guests from other countries! They offer to serve them food or explain things to them, but they completely ignore Russian guests! They don't explain anything or show us anything. They offer coffee and tea to foreign guests at every opportunity, but never to Russians! We sincerely thank them for every little thing they do, but they simply don't care. What kind of discrimination is this?! Come to Russia, and we'll show you what genuine hospitality towards foreign guests looks like — and we do it for free.
This is a wonderful boutique hotel near the old city center. Everything is within a short walk. Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and for me, the VERY impressive Cistern. Also the Grand Bazaar. But it is hilly here. It is not a good vacation destination if you have mobility issues. Just how it is. The breakfast was great and the staff were everything we could hope for. Attentive, kind, and all helpful. The “waffles” are so delicious I couldn’t get enough. Banana, strawberry, and chocolate on a crisp waffle. I’m sure I’m leaving some out but Huri, Cem, Roni, Zehra, and many others were perfect hosts.
Fantastic hotel with attentive staff to cater for your comfort! I travelled with my wife and infant son. The staff were on hand to acknowledge any requests especially for items in regard to my baby (cot, milk, baby bathtub) They have a luggage hold so you can store your stroller or any extra luggage you may not need in the reception area. The queen size bed was most comfortable and the room had a UK plug outlet and some USB A and C outlets. It had a Phillips hairdryer which was of good quality and a steamer for your clothes (iron and board can be requested) The hotel is in a maximum 10-15 minute walk radius from all the main landmarks in SultanAhmet. It is on a side road so it is still quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Staff are very friendly and speak very good english. I had no problem with communicating and conversing with them. Didn't need to take my phone out for Google translate once.
My wife and I are really enjoying our stay here at the Ritus. The rooms and hotel area are simply magnificent and luxuriously accommodating. The staff is exceptionally attentive and spoil us with different types of appetizers and foods throughout the day. The breakfast buffet is out of this world. There is more choices than a person can have in four or five breakfasts. The cuisine is exceptional, and the staff, including Rana, Huri, Irem, and Kubra all took the time to introduce us to different Turkish cuisine and delights. All in all, the Ritus staff has made it most difficult to leave the hotel and venture out into the city :-)! My wife and I highly recommend the Ritus hotel as an option for exceptional comfort and care.
