I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. A special thank you to Emad and Emrah for their exceptional hospitality. They were always friendly, professional, and willing to help with anything we needed. I had a wonderful stay at Istanbul Gönen Hotel Taksim. The hotel is perfectly located, just a 3-minute walk from Taksim Square and the metro station, making it very convenient for exploring Istanbul. There are also plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby. We booked two rooms at upper level which were spacious, complete furnished, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff are bilingual, very friendly, professional, and always ready to help with any questions or requests. One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop restaurant, where both breakfast and dinner are served. The panoramic view is absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the Bosphorus, the Galata Tower, and the entire Taksim area. The scenery is beautiful during the day, but it becomes truly magical at night when the city lights illuminate the skyline. I also really enjoyed the hotel's wellness facilities. The heated indoor swimming pool, the fitness room, and the traditional Turkish hammam were all excellent and available free of charge for guests, making the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend Istanbul Gönen Hotel Taksim to anyone visiting Istanbul. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip!

The gentleman working at the reception during the evening shift could use a lesson in courtesy. When guests have an additional visitor, it’s not appropriate to stand at their door and tell them to either pay immediately or leave. When a booking period ends or an extra charge applies, it should be explained politely. A courteous approach would ensure that everyone leaves satisfied.

We stayed at Taksim Gönen Hotel and overall had a good experience, mainly because of its excellent location. The hotel is in the heart of Taksim, with easy access to shops, restaurants, public transport, and many attractions. The location alone is a huge advantage and made our trip very convenient. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices, and the city view from the breakfast area was beautiful. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it a great way to start the day. There were a few areas that could be improved. The lobby floor could be cleaned more thoroughly. In our room, the shower did not have a proper door, so water would spread onto the bathroom floor after every shower. During the first two nights, the air conditioning was not cooling properly. We ended up opening the window to sleep comfortably, but this meant we could hear noise from people outside during the night. The biggest issue we experienced was with our personal iron. We brought our own iron from home, and after room service, it was taken from our room without anyone asking us. When we inquired about it, we were told that staff thought it belonged to the hotel and had already given it to another guest. We were later given a hotel iron, but unfortunately, we never found our own iron. We believe personal belongings should never be removed from a guest’s room without confirmation. Despite these issues, the staff were generally helpful, the breakfast was great, and the location is one of the best you can find in Istanbul. With some improvements in room maintenance and guest property handling, this could easily be a 5-star stay.
