AVOID – GREAT LOCATION, BUT THE HOTEL IS FALLING APART We stayed here for a family destination wedding and booked three rooms because the location seemed perfect for accessing the main tourist attractions. The location genuinely is excellent. Unfortunately, that is about the only positive thing I can say. The hotel is badly run-down and in desperate need of refurbishment and proper maintenance. This wasn't one unfortunate room — we had three rooms and experienced problems across them. The décor and furniture are extremely old and tired. The rooms were not properly clean, there were visible water/leak stains, we experienced electrical problems, and the telephones were broken in all three rooms. Most shockingly, we even had stray cats getting into/found inside our bedrooms. I have never experienced anything like this in a hotel. Housekeeping was equally disappointing. When we asked for a room to be cleaned, we were openly told that the cleaner's shift was over. There seemed to be very little concern about actually resolving guests' problems. Breakfast was a joke and nowhere near an acceptable hotel standard. The customer service was perhaps the biggest disappointment. My elderly mother became unwell during our stay. When my brother came to check on her, he was not allowed to go to her room, despite explaining the circumstances. For a family dealing with an elderly relative who was unwell, we found this completely unacceptable. We raised our concerns, including speaking to the owner's son, but unfortunately we came away feeling that there was very little interest in addressing the problems. Our impression was that because the hotel benefits from such a good location, the rooms will continue to sell regardless of their condition. And that really is the frustrating part: this could be an excellent hotel because the location is fantastic. Instead, it appears to have been allowed to deteriorate badly. It needs serious investment in maintenance, refurbishment, cleanliness, housekeeping and, above all, customer service. Based on our experience across THREE rooms, I would not recommend this hotel in its current condition. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE LOCATION. A bad hotel can spoil an otherwise fantastic trip, and unfortunately this one seriously affected ours.

The hotel was really nice but the food was bad. Good points. The room was really nice, clean and spacious. We had a free upgrade to a bigger room without asking. Mini bar is reasonably priced. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower was really powerful. Cleaners came into the room everyday. Soap and shower gell in the room was a bonus. Location was great and overlooked the blue mosque. Bad points The hotel is a bit higaldy pickledy as in getting to your room. Lots of ups and down steps. The staff spoke limited English except 1 member of staff who was nice. The tv had no English speaking channels. The food! I read the reviews and see how some people had commented on the food but I thought I would try! Anyway, the food is terrible!! Not even slightly exaggerated. If you have half board it is a set menue!! Dont get me wrong, the food was hot and fresh, it just tasted nasty. Just one waiter who does work hard but you have to wait for your food. They dont even ask you if your vegetarian! Really not what I was expecting as it didn't say when booking it was a set menu for the evening. Just to let everyone know we only had one dinner and one breakfast, it was that bad. The breakfast is not much better. Its a buffet, we ate there once and didn't go back! The bowl of slop in the picture is supposed to be butter!!! We noticed several people from our hotel not eating there aswell. I spoke to reception on the first day we ate and that guy did speak English and he said i could get a refund for the food but on the last day when checking out there was a lady and different man and they didn't really care about the food, he just said other people eat there with no complaints. Well I definitely heard people moaning about it, they just didn't say anything. People will not come back.
Timur was absolutely amazing and truly went out of his way to help us. After checking out, we realized on the way to the airport that we had accidentally left our handbag behind. We immediately called, and Timur handled the situation with such care, urgency, and kindness. He quickly arranged a taxi and made sure our bag reached the airport in time for us to collect it before boarding our flight. What could have been an incredibly stressful situation became manageable only because of his help and dedication. It’s very rare to come across such genuinely kind and angelic people who are willing to go beyond their responsibilities to help others. From the very beginning, Timur was warm, welcoming, and always helpful, and this experience just showed his incredible character even more. Thank you so much, Timur, for everything you did for us. We will always remember your kindness and support.
Sarnic Premier sits right in the heart of Sultanahmet, which is genuinely hard to beat. The Blue Mosque practically on your doorstep, Hagia Sophia a short walk away, and the whole old city within easy reach on foot. For exploring Istanbul, you couldn't ask for a better base. The staff are the real highlight — warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They can arrange discounts on a solid range of experiences too: Bosphorus cruises, the Princes' Islands, and more. That kind of local knowledge and initiative makes a real difference. That said, several things stopped this from being a great stay rather than just a decent one. The rooms are a reasonable size but oddly lacking chairs — a minor detail that starts to grate after a long day of sightseeing. Privacy is also an issue: the only route to your room runs through the restaurant, which means every arrival and departure feels a little more public than it should. Then there are the maintenance problems that frankly shouldn't exist in a property billing itself as premier. The elevator behaved erratically — going up was fine, but getting it to come back down required a small act of faith. The toilet ran constantly. The TV had no signal. These aren't quirks of a charming boutique hotel; they're things that need fixing. The location and the team are genuinely excellent. But until the basics are sorted, the "premier" label is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
I had a great stay at Sarniç Hotel. The location is excellent, right in the center, with all major attractions within easy reach. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help with any questions or requests. Both dinner and breakfast were included in my stay, which was very convenient. I especially appreciated that they arranged vegetarian food for me even when I arrived late. The breakfast was particularly impressive, offering a wider variety of options compared to dinner. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience, and I would happily recommend this hotel to others.
