Set up with an old retro vibe in a previous bank building - the hotel's main positives are location, big rooms on average, reasonably clean and a decent (relatively) spread of breakfast. What can improve is : house keeping needs training ; some staff like Gorkhe and hamza were helpful but rest seemed cold and usually not helpful. Rooms have teething issues (Aircon , hairdryer , sewage smell etc.) some were fixed when highlighted.

We booked this hotel largely because of the room photos on the website, but upon check‑in we were shocked to find that the actual room looked nothing like the pictures. When we raised this with the front desk, their attitude was extremely unhelpful and dismissive. They simply told us that they have many room types and that the photos only show one of them, adding that a room change was “definitely impossible for tonight.” As a guest, I chose this hotel based on the images provided, so it’s very disappointing to see such a huge discrepancy. Worse, the staff made us feel as if our complaint was unreasonable, which left a very sour taste. To make matters worse, the room itself was located in a very inconvenient part of the property. We had to walk through multiple corridors, pass through the dining area, and even climb stairs to reach a separate building on the second floor – it felt completely disconnected from the main building shown in the photos. The room was also tiny; we couldn’t even open our suitcase fully without blocking the walkway. It was the first time we’ve experienced such a strange and awkward layout in a hotel. On a more positive note, the breakfast was quite good. The service staff were friendly and helpful, even offering to serve us food. The selection was decent, and the croissants were particularly tasty. As for the location, it’s not terrible – you can get to nearby tourist attractions fairly easily. However, in August heat, it takes about 15 minutes on foot to reach the nearest metro station, and the route involves steep uphill and downhill slopes. If you have luggage, that walk becomes a real struggle. So while the location is acceptable for sightseeing, it’s not ideal if you need to use the metro frequently or carry heavy bags. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel unless you are prepared for a room that may not match the photos, an inconvenient room layout, and a challenging walk to the station. The breakfast is a highlight, but it doesn’t make up for the other disappointments.
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I actually really liked this hotel, The location is excellent—everything I wanted to visit in the Old Town was within walking distance, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. Everything was fresh, and there was a great variety of options to choose from each morning. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and I truly believe it will be even more beautiful once everything is completed. From our room, we even had a view of the ancient ruins, which was such a unique and amazing experience. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was the air conditioning. We visited during one of Turkey's hottest periods, and because the room was so large, the AC struggled to keep it cool, even though it was running 24 hours a day. I believe this wouldn't be an issue if you were visiting during the spring or fall. Overall, this hotel offers great value for the price. With its fantastic location, spacious rooms, and delicious breakfast, I would definitely recommend it to budget-conscious travelers looking to stay in the heart of the Old Town.
First I want to say that the staff are amazing, the hotel also is nice and unique. We were booked for 5 days and ended up staying 3 due to inadequate AC in the rooms. Way to small for the rooms and running 24/7 and never being able to cool down. The rooms however are spacious and uniquely furnished and although we would have loved to stay it was just way to hot. The up side if you can handle sleeping in an oven is that it is a well situated hotel within 10 mins of everything you need to see. The food at breakfast was fantastic and the women in the restaurant working there are super nice and friendly. If they fixed the AC it would be worth the stay.
We absolutely loved our stay at Ringstone for the 3 nights we stayed in Istanbul. It was really well located in Sultanhamet, 5-10 minutes walk from many of the main attractions, restaurants etc, yet it was fairly quiet on our street. The room we had was luxurious, spacious and clean and we were impressed at the value for money. All the staff were kind, helpful and professional. The breakfast spread was great too! 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting istanbul
