Excellent Stay We came to Ramada by Wyndham Istanbul Taksim with a last-minute Booking website reservation, and we were very happy with the experience. The reception staff was very friendly, welcoming, and patient with us. He also offered us a better deal than Booking, with more options at a lower price. Excellent service and great hospitality. We really appreciated the staff’s help and kindness. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Taksim for 5 nights, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The air conditioning in the hotel was not working properly, which made the stay very uncomfortable. What was even more frustrating was the careless and unresponsive attitude of the staff. Despite bringing the issue to their attention, the response and level of service were far below what one would expect from a hotel of the Ramada brand. After staying for five nights, I expected at least basic comfort and prompt assistance from the hotel team. Unfortunately, neither was provided. Overall, this was a horrible experience, and I would seriously reconsider staying here again. The management needs to address both the maintenance issues and staff attitude if they want to maintain acceptable hospitality standards.
This hotel was where I stayed for two nights during my trip to Türkiye. The room was clean, quiet, and well maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day of traveling. What I appreciated most was the desk and reading lamp in the room. As someone who enjoys writing and reflecting on the day’s experiences while traveling, it provided a comfortable and productive space. It felt like more than just a hotel room—it was a place where I could organize my thoughts and record my journey. The breakfast was also satisfying, offering a wide selection of fresh bread, cheeses, olives, soups, and hot dishes. The variety made each morning enjoyable and gave me a pleasant start to the day. With its convenient location, comfortable accommodations, generous breakfast, and excellent environment for writing, this hotel was a memorable part of my stay in Istanbul. It was the perfect place to end each day of my journey on a positive note.
Ramada has a global standard of reliability and trust which I have personally experienced in many cities and its why I chose it Istanbul too. This location however was an unexpected but serious letdown. I stayed in the standard room which was clean with ample storage space. The size however was cramped with barely any room to walk. The biggest issue with this room however was the lack of climate control. It is the same system for the ENTIRE hotel meaning you cannot increase or decrease the temperature to your liking and leading to the entire room being a furnace. In the winter months you can open the window to slightly cool the room but you then invite noise and any rain or snow which may be incident. It makes the entire stay extremely uncomfortable. Edit: The WiFi in the hotel, across the room and the lobby is completely non-functional. Furthermore, there is no real room service in the hotel. You have the option to order a very limited range of fast food items from a website affiliated with the hotel but it will arrive hours later, cold and stale. Moving on to the staff, the managers are experienced, helpful and informed of the locale however they are also apparently forgetful because any requests you make, in person or by phone, need to be followed up on multiple times before any action is taken. A majority of the bellboys do not speak English and even those who do will refer you to management for basic asks like hailing a taxi, which by the way, the desk manager will then tell the bellboy to do anyway... There is a Starbucks outlet operated by hotel staff, incorporated with a bar, in the lobby. The sandwiches and coffee there are excellent. The complimentary breakfast is about average. The location of this hotel is easily its crown jewel. You are within walking distance of convenience stores, many restaurants, a Watsons, Taksim mosque and Istiklal Street. It is a safe location, even at night and there is a noticeable police presence year round. My verdict is, if you are looking for a central location to stay within the European side of Istanbul, and will only be at the hotel to sleep, then stay here, otherwise steer clear.
Very clean hotel which is more important than anything to me. The free breakfast was one of the best hotel complementary breakfast I've ever had. The proximity to Taksim Square is right there in 5 minute walk. The only thing lacking was the front desk staff didn't seem to care about their job. I left a hat in the lobby, they said they found it but it was locked up and to pick it up in the morning. For the next three days I repeatedly asked for it it back and I ended up checking out 3 days later without it. The front desk clerks just kept passing the task of retrieving my hat from wherever it was to the next porson.. poor customer service. Other than that, I was very pleased with the hotel.. oh, by the way.. big warning. DO NOT JUMP IN THE POOL IN THE BASEMENT WITHOUT TESTING THE TEMPERATURE. The pool isn't heated and I jumped in. It took me 5 minutes to catch my breath. Its ICE COLD. If the water wasn't being circulated it would be an ice skating rink.
