Point Hotel Taksim

I cannot fault the Point Hotel, Istanbul, in any way. I stayed here while having surgery through May Clinic, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. All the staff were professional, friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. The manager was especially kind to both me and my mum. As we had an early flight home, they kindly arranged coffee for us at 4:30 am and prepared breakfast packs for our journey. These thoughtful touches made such a difference. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning for a holiday in Istanbul. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!

★★★☆☆ The hotel is decent overall, but honestly, I expected more from a five-star property. The stay was comfortable, but nothing really stood out as a true five-star experience. Breakfast was particularly disappointing — the quality was quite average, the variety was limited, and I expected a much better selection of international options. The staff were polite, but not very flexible or accommodating when it came to specific or simple requests, which is something I would normally expect from a hotel in this category. Overall, it’s not a bad hotel, but I would describe it as average rather than luxurious. For a five-star rating, there is definitely room for improvement, particularly in breakfast quality, variety, and service flexibility.

Location is excellent, very close to Taksim Square and easy to access everything around. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety and taste was really good. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a very comfortable hotel with a great location. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting Istanbul.

The hotel was absolutely perfect. We were welcomed with such warm smiles, genuine understanding of how tired we were after our flights, and a very smooth and quick check-in process. We had booked a suite, and it was ready for us as soon as we arrived at the hotel. It is definitely not something to be taken for granted to have a suite ready at 11:00 AM—spotlessly clean and prepared exactly according to the requests we had made when booking, including the addition of separate single beds. The suite was located on a high floor and offered a beautiful view of the Bosphorus. Every aspect of the hotel’s service deserves more than a 10/10. The lobby staff, restaurant team, housekeeping, lounge staff—everyone was absolutely wonderful. I would especially like to mention Yasin, who helped us with anything and everything we needed or asked for. He also gave us extremely useful recommendations and local advice, which was especially valuable to us as tourists. I would also like to mention Ozan, who welcomed us with a smile and was always willing and ready to assist. Most of the staff speak fluent English, which is a huge advantage and made our stay even more comfortable. The hotel’s location is extremely convenient and central, with very easy access for taxis. Every taxi driver we used knew the hotel immediately. It is also only about a 4-minute walk from Taksim Square, along a wide, main road that felt comfortable and safe to walk on. Everything you might need is available just steps away from the hotel: a grocery store, currency exchange, restaurants, cafés, dessert and sweets shops, and much more. I highly recommend this hotel, and there is absolutely no doubt that we will return—specifically to the same suite! I’m attaching some photos that speak for themselves.
