Absolutely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. During my one-week stay, I was repeatedly called by the reception and told to turn off the TV—even though I had never turned it on once. Completely disorganized and unprofessional. The air conditioning in my room did not work, making it impossible to sleep. I reported the issue twice, but nothing was fixed. I’m writing this with less than 7 hours before I have to wake up for a 6–7 hour dental treatment, yet I’m still unable to sleep because the room is unbearably hot. This level of negligence is unacceptable. My room wasn’t cleaned for two consecutive days until I went to complain. Even worse, the cleaners kept taking my room key card out of the electricity slot while cleaning and leaving with it, meaning I would return to my room without my key and unable to use the electricity. I’ve never experienced anything so ridiculous. The entire hotel feels incredibly disorganized, and the customer service is absolutely terrible. Staff seem uninterested in solving problems and don’t care about guests’ comfort at all. I would never recommend Mia Berre Hotel to anyone. There are far better hotels in Istanbul where guests are actually treated with respect. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.
Customer service: Workers are all very friendly and always ready to help Rooms: Small but does the job, some peeling but overall okay Breakfast: the place would be 5 stars if the breakfast changed or was a bit more flexible, it just lacked a lot on this area
Check in was smooth. Staff was friendly and informative. Rooms are too small and most rooms have a pillar in the middle of the room. This hotel is mainly used for clients that are coming for surgeries. Cleaning ladies need to clean properly as my headboard had blood on it. Complimentary breakfast is avg. We had better breakfast at a cheaper hotel. Food was great at the restaurant and reasonably priced...but if you care to walk another 10 mins you will find local restaurants for less than half the price.
DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL I’m on Day 2 at Mia Berre (Oct 28, 2025) and yesterday my purse was stolen from my room—with my credit cards, state ID, and photos of my kids inside. It was inside a paper bag on a shelf. Housekeeping later claimed they “threw the bag away,” which is impossible without seeing, (then stealing) my red purse first; and, regardless, they had no right to discard any of my belongings without my permission. Management’s response was disgraceful—no accountability, no compensation, and not even a basic duty of care. I told them I had no cash, and they still didn’t offer or even suggest help with meals, practical assistance (phone calls, contacting my bank, etc), or any urgency. Instead, they hid behind “nothing on camera” and kept the staff member on duty. Because of this, I had to freeze and cancel all my cards and I’m now without cash in Istanbul. I warned other guests at breakfast not to leave valuables in their rooms. Bottom line: This hotel failed to protect a guest, refused to make it right, and tolerated the behavior. If you value your belongings and peace of mind, DO NOT BOOK Mia Berre. UPDATE 11/02/25 A couple of days ago, I discovered that my ring was also stolen. It's not worth much but has sentimental value. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this shady hotel.
