Mest Hotel Istanbul Sirkeci

Overall, we had a very good experience at the hotel. We were comfortable and very happy with almost everything. However, there were two issues regarding breakfast that I think could definitely be improved. The first is that orange juice is not included with breakfast and has to be paid for separately. Honestly, I find it quite ridiculous that something as basic as orange juice at a hotel breakfast comes at an additional cost. The second issue was more frustrating. The night before our departure, we asked if it would be possible to have breakfast 15 minutes before the regular opening time, as we had a flight and were on a tight schedule. We were told that this would be absolutely fine. However, when we arrived 15 minutes early, virtually all the food was already prepared and available, but we were not allowed to serve ourselves because they were still finishing a few details — essentially some decoration and mopping the floor. We were asked to sit and wait for the entire 15 minutes, meaning that in the end we started breakfast at exactly the same time as every other guest. What made the situation even more disappointing was that once they had finished setting everything up, nobody even told us that we could start. The staff members who had been preparing the breakfast simply went outside to smoke and have coffee while we were still sitting there waiting. Had we been told the night before that an earlier breakfast was not possible, we would have completely understood and simply made other arrangements. What was frustrating was being specifically told that we could come earlier, only to be made to wait without being allowed to take anything, despite almost everything already being ready. It was a shame because this was an entirely avoidable situation at the end of what was otherwise a genuinely very good stay.

Completely unreliable and dishonest business. I had a fully confirmed booking, but the hotel messaged me admitting they overbooked due to a "system error" and had no vacancies. They then fraudulently processed the cancellation in the system as if it was done "at the guest's request" (isteğiniz üzerine) just to protect their own rating and avoid platform penalties. Unprofessional and completely untrustworthy. Avoid this place if you want a guaranteed room in Istanbul.

Mest hotel did not disappoint! It was an amazing experience to spend a couple of days at the hotel! My husband and I loved the hotel itself, the building and rooms were beautiful and our room had views of the mosque across the street and the river. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast included was one of the best buffet breakfasts I've had. I'll definitely come back to beautiful Istanbul and stay at Mest hotel again!

An outstanding boutique hotel right next to the Spice Market, with a beautiful view of the Yeni Camii. The hotel is elegant, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast buffet is impressive, offering something for every taste. The room was cleaned daily and always spotless. The staff was very polite and helpful throughout our stay. A special mention to Emre at the front desk—his English is excellent, and he truly went above and beyond. He took the time to explain the map and tram system and helped us optimize our plans, which made a real difference. Highly recommended.
