The room is comfortable, offering complimentary drinks, coffee, and tea. The location is favorable, set within a lively area of shops and restaurants while remaining peaceful. Mustafa provides attentive care, and his service is excellent.
I love this hotel, stay frequently. It is so convenient to the Metro and TCDD bullet train that both stop in BAKIRKOY. It is in a colorful location with lots of small restaurants and stores. Mamara Sea is in walking distance. A Mall is 10 minutes away by walking.
I've been staying at this hotel for the second time and last time (26.06.2026) the lady receptionist who did the overnight shift (i can't remember her name sadly) was beyond helpful! Very good customer service, genuine and kind. Also for the bartender, very kind and very helpful! Rooms were also very clean, and beds are very comfortable! Thank you Mercure Bakirkoy.
Though I booked this hotel because of the price, Mercure was a very pleasant surprise and it offers great value. The staff (Ezgi and Hayda in particular) was very helpful. My initial room had poor WiFi connection, so Ezgi moved me to a nice larger room. All the amenities in the room were great.
Though not in the main tourist center, Bakirkoy is well connected to all the tourist sites by public transportation. Get used to the B1 Marmaray line, which is excellent. The Bakirkoy station is more accessible than the Yeminihalle station. There are plenty of restaurants to try on the streets nearby. These are half as expensive as those in the old city. I recommend Mezekoy for great vegetarian options. Onur, the supermarket next door, has everything that you could possibly need. The Alpak Dry Cleaning is a good choice (but much more expensive than laundromats) for regular laundry. There are many pastry shops on this street that are worth checking out, especially the knafe & borek shop opposite Onur.
For all these reasons, this will be my hotel in all future trips to Istanbul.
This is a very nice and practical hotel. Folks are friendly and helpful. I have been staying at Mercure each time I come to conferences in İstanbul.
