We stayed here for 2 nights for £128.91, without breakfast. The hotel is located in a very central area of Istanbul, which made it very convenient. The only downside was that there were no bathrobes in our room. I could see from photos posted by other guests, and also from the Booking.com listing, that bathrobes are usually provided, so I was expecting them. Because of that, I didn’t bring my pyjamas, but unfortunately they weren’t available in our room. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful, they helped us buy ticket for bus to go to another city too:) It seems like the hotel consists of two separate buildings. The other building looks newer and more beautiful, and the toilet in the reception is located in that newer building. By the way, the tour recommended by the receptionist was really nice :) It included hotel pick-up and drop-off, and about 2 hours on a cruise with 3 course dinner while watching a dance show. The price was 2,670 lira( hotel just accepted cash for this ). The food was fairly average, but I really liked the dessert. Later on, it turned into more of a party atmosphere on the cruise, which was fun and enjoyable. All pictures are from that cruise.
This was the most exhausting experience I've ever had. The night shift was especially rude to us. The problem was, that they only gave you two cards for your room. And my brother left his card inside his room, and the housekeeping staff, after they finished cleaning, took it. When we asked the night shift for another card he lashed at us. We tried to convince him that the rule in this hotel said two cards for one room, but he wouldn’t comply. What a receptionist. I recommend that everyone from the arab golf do not stay at this hotel.
My family and I planned a vacation to Turkey. This was a new country for us and our first time. We stayed in this hotel from DEC 28 - JAN 05 2025. The people you encounter can truly make or break your stay. Unfortunately, this hotel and its staff have broken it for us. In our opinion, this hotel is inaccurate when it claims to be a 4-star hotel (it ought to be awarded 1-star to be frank). We were 4 persons and have reserved 2 rooms. The rooms state was lackluster considering its promotional photos and its cost. The flooring was old, dirty and in desperate need of replacing. The furniture was too big for the room and old stuck to each other. In fact, the bed was once upon a white painted wood frame that has discolored, aged, and cracked in an inelegant manner. The mattress did not provide that *hotel* quality a customer seeks in a 4-star hotel. Moreover, the bedding (pillows, sheets, and duvet) was very used and old to the point of pilling, threadbare in some sections, and retaining faded stains from previous guests, we assume. Lastly, the provided towels were the same and left nothing more to be desired. Regarding services provided, never in our lives vacationing abroad in the past has a hotel demanded we pay for new towels merely b/c we used one to clean some black tea that spilled in one of our rooms on the floor. This was our first issue with them, the spill occurred early in the day and when we returned ~9:30 PM. We went up to our room and it wouldn’t open. Thus, we went downstairs to fix our room key cards, the receptionist said something along the lines of “we will fix your room key card and give it to you once you pay 500 TL to the hotel for replacing/laundering the towels”. Furthermore, in one of the rooms, the bathroom’s white toilet, the lid had this stain that we requested to get cleaned when we first arrived. Instead, it never got cleaned even with us putting the sign outside to clean our room every day and they were audacious enough to accuse us that we were at fault for causing it the day before our checkout day and charging us a fee. Moreover, on our first night we noticed that the bedding had stains that we requested to be changed. They changed it to a “new” one that was old and had rips. And lastly, guess what? They also charged us for that. So for extra hidden charges total, we were “extorted” ~4000 TL before our checkout of the hotel Regarding the staff, the hotel was unsafe. In one room, it was 2 women. And in the other, were 2 men. The 2 rooms were the last 2 at the end of the hallway. In the room inhabited by us ladies, we couldn’t rest well at night. The 2 of us were light sleepers and could hear someone walking back and forth at different intervals of the night almost every night. And yet, this wasn’t the case in the room inhabited by the men. It was suspicious since during our stay, I noticed that my luggage contents would not be in the same way I left it. In conclusion, this hotel experience was a 0 out of 10. We certainly would NOT recommend it.
We stayed at Manesol Old City Bosphorus and had a wonderful experience. Mustafa gave us a beautiful high-floor room with an amazing view, and the room was super clean and comfortable. Sahine was always helpful whenever we needed anything. The staff were kind, the location is perfect, and the whole stay felt easy and relaxing. Highly recommend!
