Bad plan COMPLAINT ABOUT HOTEL SERVICE AND STAFF BEHAVIOUR in Hotel Klas I am writing to make a complaint about my experience at this hotel 'hotel klas' in Istanbul in Turkey. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a pleasant stay has turned into a very distressing experience because of the unacceptable behaviour of some members of the hotel staff. From the beginning of our stay, we have experienced a very unpleasant atmosphere and extremely poor treatment from both the restaurant staff and the receptionists. As a guest and, in particular, as a woman travelling with my children, I have felt humiliated, disrespected and unsafe. This morning, during breakfast, a very serious incident occurred. My child wanted to fill his small water bottle because of the extremely hot weather. Two waiters reacted aggressively and prevented him from getting water. One of them shouted at me, saying that I had to pay €20 for the water, and he pushed me on the shoulder. Their behaviour was extremely intimidating, and I felt that they were about to physically attack me. I cannot understand why a child should be prevented from drinking water in such extremely hot weather, especially when providing water to guests is normally part of the hotel's service. The way the staff dealt with this situation was completely unacceptable and showed a shocking lack of humanity and respect towards a customer and a child. There is also a serious hygiene problem in the hotel. The cups and dishes sometimes have an unpleasant smell, which is one of the reasons why my child preferred to drink from his own cup. I reported this situation to a supervisor, but instead of taking my complaint seriously, he made fun of me and showed no concern. He continued to insist that I should pay €20, while behaving towards me in a humiliating and disrespectful manner. I then asked to speak to the manager. However, the receptionists told me to complain to the police and said that the manager was on holiday. They also told me that I had nothing to prove. One receptionist even told me that if I wanted to sit in the waiting area, I could stay there until morning because nobody would pay attention to me. He was calling his colleagues and laughing, which made the situation even more humiliating. I would like to ask: Is this really how a hotel should treat its guests? Is this how staff should behave towards a woman and children? How can a child be denied water in extremely hot weather? Unfortunately, this is not the only problem we have experienced. During our stay, the housekeeping staff left our hotel room door open while we were staying there. I reported this issue as well, but it happened again for a second time. Once again, my complaint was not taken seriously. All of these incidents have made us feel that we are being deliberately treated with disrespect and hostility. A customer should never be humiliated, threatened, pushed or treated with such contempt, especially when travelling with children. I therefore request that this matter be investigated seriously. I would also like an explanation regarding the behaviour of the staff, the €20 payment that was demanded for water, the hygiene problems, and the repeated failure to properly secure our room. I expect the hotel management to take responsibility for these incidents and provide an appropriate response and solution. I hope that this complaint will be taken seriously and that appropriate action will be taken to prevent other guests from experiencing the same treatmenn

The hotel is good and is located in a strategic position. Yet , I was disappointed as far as the size of the rooms is concerned. They are very tiny and the rooms alloted to us were very noisy. As regards the staff, they are helpful but OSMAN Bay is the best of them. He showed a sense of professionalism and patience and commitment to solve any issues. In fact, We had a problem with air conditioning that was not functional which was raised the 1st day we arrived but no one reacted. It was only on the second day under Osman's shift that the issue was solved late in the night where we were given other rooms. This is just to mention that Osman Bay deserves a position better than the one he occupies now (receptionist). I believe that the hotel can function better if OSMAN Bay manages it as he possesses the requirements for a good manager.
I recently dined at the restaurant in Hotel Klas during our stay in Istanbul, and I can't praise the experience enough. Yasim, the restaurant manager, made our group feel incredibly welcome. His attention to detail and genuine care transformed our dining experience into something truly special. We faced some challenges with our room, but the relationship manager handled everything efficiently, ensuring our needs were met promptly. A big shoutout to the chef as well—the kindness and passion behind each dish were evident, making our meals memorable. Overall, our experience at Hotel Klas was fantastic, all thanks to Yasin and the dedicated team. Highly recommended! Gina from Ecuador
Visited Aug 10-17. Let's start with the positives, the Hotel is located in a very nice area of the old town with great access to transportation, you can get there easily from the airport with the new Metro lines M11 + M2. You can go to Taksim in 3 stops and to Sultanahmet in 4 stops with the Tram line T1. The hotel is surrounded with places to eat and with small convenience stores for supplies. Relatively quiet area considering you are in the center of the old town. The service, front desk is 24h but they are not very helpful. An honorable mention is Hamid a young man in the reception who was very friendly and helpful. The room cleaning staff were good in cleaning the room regularly with some slight inconsistencies. The breakfast area was a bit cramped but sufficient for the volume of guests. The breakfast food was not good in my opinion but that is subjective. Now the real problem was with the elevators, our room was on the 5th floor and the elevators were extremely small and by no means adequate for the number of people in the building, they often broke down and we got trapped in one. If you have trouble with stairs, this is not the place for you. The Deluxe Room we staid in was larger than expected and that was nice, we had a balcony which had a nice view of the surrounding area. The room had a big bathroom that had no ventilation, the toilet was partially loose from the wall, the shower was also in bad condition. The bed was very big and comfortable but the bed sheets and covers were a size to small which created a bit of a problem for two people. The have a king size bed without matching linens 🤣. Overall, for the price and the city, it was what I expected, but by no means is this a 3 star hotel. One last thing, the room did have humidity issues on the roof of the room. The price 617€ for 7 days, via booking.com,booked 3-4 months in advance. P.s With minor renovations this could be a great hotel!
Me & my family had an amazing stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The hotel was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything was well organized and made us feel relaxed from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to the staff, who were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. They spoke English very well, which made communication very easy, and they were always happy to help with anything we needed. Their professionalism and warm hospitality really made our experience even more special. We also really appreciated that the hotel offered Bosphorus cruise packages, and transportation was included, the bus picked us up from the hotel and brought us back afterward, which made the whole experience very easy and convenient. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.
