Yazgul was very kind, friendly, and attentive. She did her job very well and always treated us with a warm smile. Thank you for your excellent service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just the distance from the airport other than that the hotel is wonderful in services. I slept so well the beds and pillows are just right. Some places have a pillow and you may feel like you need another mine waa just right. The hospitality was ideal. I have to say that your money did work for you here. I would definitely visit again. Do not pass by Dora, breakfast too has been satisfying ❤️
The hotel is not 5 star at all but maybe 2-3star. The rooms needed updating (some plug sockets were not working & strange odour in our room), the location made it awkward to get to Taksim square eventhough it was roughly a 10 minute walk ‘uphill’… so had to get affordable cabs daily. Plus side is the breakfast was delicious & staff were friendly and helpful. Also the walk from the hotel to the Taksim square is close to the Havaist airport coach’s to Airports (opposite Point Hotel)
To me it seems the hotel has never been maintained since its opening and it must have run out of money as the rooms have no lighting apart from one spotlight and two lamps making it incredibly dark. Lucky for me I wore no makeup, but if I needed to I would have been so mad as there’s no way you could do your makeup in this non existent lighting. The hotel is extremely run down- peeled off wall paper across the halls, in the reception seating the sofas are pretty worn and the tables have obvious chips, smashed/ broken mirrors in the lift and our bathroom door is all smashed (it’s a mirror door), the bathroom tap was coming off, there was a lot of rust particularly in the bathroom and the bin grossed me out as they should through it away as it was pure rust. The cleaner was okay but didn’t do some tasks some days and ruined our bedding situation. One blanket had a hole it in like a smoker may have done it. The staff didn’t do the wake up call we requested for our early airport departure even though the staff wrote it down. We never bothered to get up for breakfast so can’t comment on that. The area is a run down area but not unsafe The only pro: they do have a bus that takes you taksim BUT it takes you to the bottom where it’s not easy to walk up and they don’t tell you about it. It was by chance we found out although it has small departure times (I think 4 times a day) so we only got it that once then never again. But I do think it’s good they have it than nothing as walking from this hotel would be no joke if you want to go to taksim square or Galata etc. it’s extremely steep uphill. The concierge guy was friendly enough, took out luggage up however the interactions were minimum and they are all constant smokers outside the hotel. Every time I left or came back to the hotel they were smoking at the entrance. They do dress smart though and the young guy is friendly. The older man seems a bit hostile. Don’t be fooled by the pictures like me- the pictures are what it probably looked like 20 years ago but it needs a serious renovation!
