Hotel Grand Washington

I chose Hotel Washington for my trip to Amsterdam. I stayed there recently, from June 20–23. However, my room was on the 3rd floor, and there was no elevator. The stairs were as steep as a hill. The staff at the front desk were very unpolite. They were reluctant to answer my questions. My room was very small, the bathroom smelled terrible, and the bed was awful. I woke up in the morning with back pain because the springs were digging into my lower back. And yet, I had gone there to enjoy a quality stay for 3–4 days. The room cleaning was a disaster! It was as if my room had never been cleaned at all. The staff and room cleanliness are very very poor. Anyone thinking of going there should think twice—or even a hundred times. Be sure to read the reviews. Since I was booking at the last minute, I hurriedly found this hotel and made a reservation. The only good thing is the location. It’s close to the train, tram, and bus stops. That's all.

I was in Istanbul to watch Aston Villa in the Europa cup final. My friends were waiting here for me as i came later from the UK. I caught a yellow taxi from Taksim Square and was quoted €60 because of road closures? I told my son the price i was paying and he told the manager who said the taxi driver was trying to rip me off! On arrival at the hotel the manager was waiting for me at the steps of the hotel and told the taxi driver he was over charging me and i was only going to pay €19. Thank you so much to the manager he was so helpful and made me and my friends so welcome, he arranged for our taxi the next morning to the airport which came on time. I had food at the hotel which was 5*. The waiters and service was attentive and first class. I will return to istanbul one day and Hotel Grand Washington will definitely be the place to stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, polite, and welcoming. Everything was clean and well-maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is great — perfect for walking around, and also very convenient with public transportation stops nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

We had a good stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The room and the hotel were clean, and housekeeping was done every day, which was nice. Since it was Ramadan, they provided suhur instead of breakfast, and it was good and well-prepared. The location is convenient, close to transportation, and about a 15-minute walk from the Grand Bazaar. Overall, a nice experience and we would recommend it.
