We booked a nine-night stay with half board. While breakfast was fine and offered a good selection, dinner was extremely disappointing. There were only two dinner options. On the first evening, we had pasta and Turkish dumplings. I cannot say for certain whether it was related to the food, but halfway through the meal I became sick and later suffered from diarrhoea. On the second evening, we ordered the grilled chicken. It was dry, completely tasteless and, even worse, still raw in the middle. When we told the waiter, we received no apology. The same chicken was simply taken back and grilled again. It returned so hard and overcooked that I did not eat it. We booked half board so that we would not have to look for dinner every evening. Instead, we now have to go out and find food elsewhere. Anyone considering half board here should be aware that the quality and choice are far below what you would normally expect from a Holiday Inn or a comparable hotel.

Clean rooms, good location, and a very hospitable staff. The manager spoke perfect English and knew all the guests’ names. They provided local restaurant recommendations and even called a restaurant ahead of time so that its waiter was waiting outside for me when I arrived. Would definitely recommend, especially to solo travelers looking for a safe feeling spot to stay.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was excellent, with many attractions within easy walking distance. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options. What truly made our stay special, however, was the staff. From the front desk team at check-in to the kitchen staff (Çiğdem) each morning, everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.
I had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Istanbul. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and in an excellent location. One of the biggest advantages is the convenience of having plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as a small grocery store right outside the hotel, which was extremely useful during my stay. There are also numerous shops within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area. The hotel staff were helpful and attentive, delivering the level of service expected and ensuring a comfortable stay. Of all the locations I have stayed in while visiting Istanbul, this has been my favourite. The Grand Bazaar is approximately a 20–30 minute walk away, and many other attractions are easily accessible from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient and well-connected area of Istanbul.
I had left the other Holiday Inn in town after being disappointed and came to this one. What a much better experience! This hotel was cleaner, better located for most things, and the staff was much more welcoming and friendly. Everyone I interacted with seemed genuinely happy and they were all so helpful. The room was average size but clean and nice amenities. The spa wasn't open, and I'm not sure why (this wasn't explained prior to during my stay), but I did make use of the gym. The breakfast was wonderful and never felt too crowded. I would definitely stay here again.
