If you want a great stay in Istanbul, then this is the place. The staff is very kind and help you with anything you need. The rooms are comfy and the bathrooms are clean. The location is near the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. Overall, great place, awesome staff, and right next to famous landmarks.
Booked it as they had a good deal on and I do not regret it. We had the junior suite which was a good size with a balcony. Nice and clean, quick and friendly service whenever we needed anything. The staff at reception are helpful and guide you if needed. We were allowed to check in early by 1 hour with no cost and to leave our luggage there before check in and after check out. We didn’t get to check out the fitness centre but know it’s there and massages available too. The balcony and restaurant are nice to sit in too. Only 10 minute walk to the Blue mosque. Would recommend and use it again myself.
It is a nice hotel with friendly staff. Although I had booked a room with a small balcony—paying an extra €50 for it, as I am a smoker—I was assigned a room on the first floor with a poor view facing the building's light well. I cannot give it 5 stars, as it does not compare to the Hilton where I stayed in Alexandria. However, the rooms are good, the staff are pleasant, and the breakfast is good. The hotel has a very beautiful terrace with a distinctive view, yet it is completely neglected—the umbrellas aren't open, it is poorly maintained, and it is unclean, even though they could make excellent use of the space. After all, Ultimately, when awarding a 5-star rating, you need to recognize the significant differences when staying at one hotel versus another. What is left to say about the impeccable cleanliness, the stunning view, and the ultimate guest comfort? I am sorry, but I give it 4 stars—or perhaps slightly less. Thank you; I would say it is a satisfactory choice for everyone.
I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel last week for 5 nights. The staff on the reception desk were very polite. The rooms are very nice, spacious , clean with excellent air-con and TV. The location is excellent - very near to the main square and Blue Mosque etc all within walking distance. Very easy to get around. The description was a premier room with a sea view. Although the room was lovely my sea view was obscured by a hotel. I could see the sea but it was not clear view. I also thought from the photos online I would have a bath I didn’t. Apart from that I had a great stay it’s a really nice hotel. Breakfast is buffet style with a wide selection of cold meats, cheese, fruit, scrambled eggs, toast and rolls. We stayed at GLK Premier The Home Suites & Spa for seven nights. The location is absolutely excellent, especially for sightseeing in Sultanahmet. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern are all within easy walking distance, and even Galata Bridge is reachable on foot. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, and our room was clean. However, the hotel itself is clearly getting old and would benefit from renovation. The bathroom in particular had seen better days, with poorly finished silicone joints and rust in the whirlpool bathtub. The rooms were also quite noisy, and the breakfast, while tasty, was very repetitive during our seven-day stay. A personal disappointment was that my partner had asked for a nicely decorated breakfast table for my 40th birthday, but this seems to have been lost during a shift change. The receptionist apologized afterwards, which we appreciated. On our second-to-last day, we were asked if we could change rooms to help the hotel. We agreed, but the new room was smaller and faced the street, which made our last night rather uncomfortable due to the noise. Overall, the hotel has a fantastic location and very friendly staff, but the condition of the rooms and bathrooms, the noise level and some organizational issues made the stay less convincing.
