The hotel staff is extremely nice and helpful, we were shown to our room very quickly upon arrival and got offered guided tours of Istanbul. Our room had a large French window so we could get fresh air in, even though fresh air in Istanbul is an oxymoron :). The breakfast area is located in the rooftop Arwin restaurant with an amazing view of the city (Galata Tower, Hagia, Blue Mosque etc.) At first, I was a bit worried about the breakfast options, since my expectations were a classic continental breakfast as in any other hotel. However, they serve a Turkish breakfast (hummus, pide, baked leek/zucchini etc.), which might seem a bit off putting for some, but believe me, it's worth it and delicious. You can also ask for an omelet, fried egg or Turkish scrambled eggs (which I highly recommend). Some of the things I didn't quite enjoy or like include basically no sound proofing of the rooms (it can take time to fall asleep with all the noise from outside and the lobby), leaking shower, non-working AC and the horrible, unusable Wi-Fi. These issues really ruin the otherwise great experience.

What a lovely hotel, with welcoming and helpfull staff to make you feel at home. Starting our mornings with the great view and wonderfull breakfast, we were almost sorry to leave the hotel to wonder around the city. Definitely a place to come back to!

The hotel room I stayed in was truly impressive. The cleanliness was exceptional; every corner was spotless, and it was evident that the housekeeping staff took great pride in their work. The service was also outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. However, one minor drawback was its location on a steep hill. While the elevated position offered beautiful views and a sense of seclusion, it did require a bit more effort to reach, especially if you were carrying luggage or arriving late at night. But overall, the positives far outweighed this minor inconvenience.
