The hotel is well positioned, and the reception is open 24 hours, which is handy. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end.
We booked a room for 3 people but got a couch instead of a proper bed. The room wasn't properly prepared, and the blanket was missing. The shower head holder was broken, so it couldn't be kept in a fixed position. Breakfast was poor.
For the price, there are many better hotels in the same range. I wouldn't stay here again.
A few complaints here:
1. There was no In-Suite laundry as advertised. We were told we needed to pay 300 lira/kg to use wash and fold service down the road.
2. Breakfast was not available everyday until 11am.
3. Front desk was not very helpful. We asked for salt one night. We were told they didn’t have any, but found some pretty quickly in the dining area. They then asked us to leave the kitchen after we were told it was fine to go.
4. Didn’t refill the fridge the whole 4days we were there. Waited until we were loading our bags into the taxi to the airport before they asked for payment for a juice.
Great stay. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Sufficient breakfast. Phenomenal views from the rooftop terrace at breakfast. My only complain is the mosquitoes (we stayed at the bottom floor). So, do not leave the windows open if they don't have a net. Otherwise solid 5/5!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dilhayat Kalfa Hotel! Our room on the first floor was beautiful, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. The breakfast menu changed daily, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions, and public transportation options like the metro and bus are easily accessible.
We highly recommend staying here to experience its antique charm and cozy atmosphere!
This Hotel is wonderful just six rooms also a wonderful breakfast terrace with amazing views towards Marmara and the Bosporus.
You are ideally placed for all the sights in Sultanhamet and the staff at the Hotel are very good. The two ladies make different things for breakfast each day. The managers on reception are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.
