Azzap Hotel Galata

Beautiful, small hotel. The breakfast buffet selection was very limited, but the hotel is overall a great place to stay if you want to visit Istanbul for a few days.

Amazing hotel, perfect experience! staff was friendly and helpful, the location is convenient for sightseeing and close to stations. Rooms were clean and tidy. Definitely will come back next time when in Istanbul. Special thanks to Ziya for his assistance with everything!

Worse stay of my life! this hotel does not deserve more than 3 stars. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and housekeeping were extremely poor. When we checked in, the bed had visible stains and dirt. The hotel states that bedding will be changed every two days unless the card is placed on the bed, we followed these instructions, yet nothing was changed, even after multiple days. Housekeeping also ends at 4 PM, so when we returned from touring Istanbul, the bed was only tidied, not properly cleaned. There were also stains left in the bathroom after use that were never cleaned. We had to lay towels on the bed just to be able to sleep. For a supposed 5-star hotel, the experience felt more like staying in a hostel. There was no robe in the room, and the vanity kit was an empty box. Breakfast was very disappointing with limited options. I cannot believe this is advertised as a 5-star hotel. It does not meet that standard at all. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel of this category. I will not return and would not recommend it to anyone.

The experience we had at Azzap Hotel was overall just okay. We booked a room for three nights as a couple. The room was not very spacious and the bathroom was quite small. There were no bathrobes or dental kits provided, and the coffee capsules were not refilled daily as mentioned. The room itself was clean, but the bedsheets and towels, which were supposed to be changed every second day, were never changed. The breakfast area was excellent and the view from the 7th floor was stunning. However, the breakfast options were limited, with very few choices for gluten-free and lactose-free products. Dinner was overpriced and the quality was average. Most of the food seemed to be reheated in a microwave. On the positive side, the man serving dinner was very professional and did his best to improve our experience. In conclusion, the overall experience and the food were just okay. If you don’t really care about hotel facilities, it can be a decent choice. The location was excellent, as it is only 5 minutes away from Galata Tower and 5 minutes from the seaside and the tram station.
