I had a very disappointing experience at AHC Aya Sophia Hotel. The staff was unprofessional, and the overall service did not match the price we paid. The air conditioning in our room was not working, and instead of fixing the issue, we were simply told that we would be given a fan. The jacuzzi kept turning off on its own, and the curtains fell off when we tried to open them. Despite these issues, there was little to no response from the front office staff or the manager. One staff member was genuinely helpful and tried to assist us, but unfortunately, he was the exception. The most frustrating part of our stay happened at breakfast when a staff member directly accused us of breaking the toilet seat and demanded that we pay for it, even though it was already broken when we arrived. Being blamed for something we did not do was completely unacceptable. We stayed in a superior room and paid €440 for three nights. Considering the number of problems we experienced, the hotel simply did not offer value for money. While the location and the view are good, they do not make up for the poor maintenance, lack of professionalism, and disappointing customer service. I would not recommend this hotel, and I certainly would not pay anywhere near this price again. There are much better options available for the same budget

I had a very pleasant stay at AHC Ayasofya Special Class (Pierre Loti Hotel). The location is excellent, within walking distance of Istanbul's main attractions and situated on a lively main street. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to provide helpful information and directions. A special thanks to Mr. Emran at the reception for his kindness, professionalism, and outstanding support. The room was comfortable, equipped with air conditioning and everything needed for a pleasant stay. Daily housekeeping kept the room clean and tidy. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.
Here is my honest review. Service and location are excellent 5 star , however there is a lot there can be improved . Firstly at breakfast most of the food is uncovered and there was flies sitting on the food . This was very unhygienic . Secondly the twin room we stayed in was very small compared to the photos, and there is no full size mirror and no space for a luggage rack to put your luggage . The bathroom door has a gap which means you can see through it and there is no privacy . There is also no lock on the bathroom door. The shower water kept getting stuck which meant the shower was blocked but the cleaner didn’t do anything about it. The shower door also had a gap which meant the water got out and wet all the bathroom floor. The hotel has only one tiny lift which is really annoying when there’s lots of people , you have to queue . The room was clean which was good.
My stay was absolutely wonderful. The room was comfortable and perfect for the stay, and the location was excellent since everything was close by. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful, welcoming, and always had smiles on their faces. They responded quickly and kept asking about our experience and whether we were enjoying our stay. The supervisor, who was MR.IMRAH , was especially kind and very supportive, and her warm welcome made us feel comfortable. And Mr .YONES and MRS.SYDA as well .I will definitely come back and stay here again next time.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in March. The location is excellent – only a 5-minute walk from both Hagia Sophia and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque. You can also easily walk to the Grand Bazaar in about 15 minutes.🕌🚃🛍️ The hotel itself is small and has a few downsides, but overall, for a short stay, it’s a good choice thanks to its location, food, and staff. The room photos online don’t quite match reality – at least our room on the second floor looked a bit older. Nothing was broken and there was no rust in the bathroom, but the carpet, furniture, and bathroom door could definitely use some modernization. One thing I didn’t like was the hairdryer. If you have long hair, I recommend bringing your own. The cord is short and stiff, and since it’s positioned above the toilet, drying your hair becomes quite inconvenient. 👩🏻🦰The bathroom doors are not well sealed, so you can hear everything, and there’s no proper ventilation. Also, the windows and doors are not well sealed, so it can get quite noisy. On the positive side, we were welcomed with two bottles of water and some snacks. We also received fresh water and clean towels every day. The towels were changed every day without us having to ask. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety – from strawberries and kiwi to different types of salads. I noticed that some rooms literally have a sink and a hairdryer in the bedroom, which is a bit unusual, so keep that in mind when booking.🛏️🚰 Overall, I would say this is a solid 3-star hotel.
