I had previously left a review, and when I returned to the reception, I was questioned about my rating and asked why I had given the hotel only two stars. Is this really an appropriate way for a hotel employee to speak to a guest? I sincerely hope management takes this matter seriously and holds the employee accountable for his behavior. In addition, the air conditioning is extremely poor and needs serious attention. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.
A perfect experience from when I booked the hotel, coordinated special arrangements to celebrate my mom’s birthday, arranged airport transport, through our arrival. Our stay was for one week and everyday was perfect. The staff greeted us by name and ensured we always had everything needed to have the perfect experience.
After a long couple of hours walking around the narrow streets and bazaars, I stumbled onto this amazing Roof Top restaurant at the Adamar Hotel. The 360 degree views took my breath away and since it was my final night in this beautiful Istanbul, I decided to enjoy fine dining at the open air restaurant with spectacular views of the Golden Horn and Bosphorus Strait. I ordered Caesar'sSalad and Fettuccine prawn. The latter dish was OUG of this world, incredible creation by the nice chef Kathija. I was honored to meet her and complimented her. Had a local draft beer and a Corona to wash down with a gone meal. A great gratitude to Alif the server who speaks good English and has perfect attention to details. I rank this restaurant experience 10/10, will recommend to all my friends who will pass through this beautiful Istanbul City. Good Bye !
The staff at this little boutique hotel are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has all the amenities as advertised and is in a great location for sightseeing in the Istanbul Sultanahmet Old Town area. It is unfortunate that during the day, the Vehicular traffic can be bothersome if your objective is a peaceful holiday and it doesn't appear that rooms receive deep cleaning between visitors. The views from their restaurant and rooftop terrace are however some of the best in the city at the prices they list.
This hotel is nowhere near 4-star standard. The air conditioning leaked continuously for three days, dripping water onto our bed and clothes, and never worked properly. Despite reporting it multiple times, staff only mopped the floor and told us to switch the AC off at night instead of fixing it. The room also had an exposed electrical socket hanging out of the wall, which was a serious safety hazard. We reported it, but nothing was done. The bathroom lock was broken for our entire stay, causing privacy issues as I was sharing the room with my sister. Customer service was poor. After raising these issues, staff became dismissive and treated us like an inconvenience rather than trying to resolve the problems. The location is extremely touristy and feels like a tourist trap. Expect persistent street sellers and tour promoters outside most hotels. It’s convenient for landmarks, but not a comfortable or relaxing area to stay
