Good: Location is at the heart of a cafe and restaurant district. Lots of food choices just walking around. Rooms are clean and well furnished with ample space. It is also near to the Besiktas ferry, which gets us direct to the Eminonu area where the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque are. Bad: The details of the furnishings are lacking. The sliding doors of the toilet creak unbearably loudly. The shower door doesn't stop water from flowing out and pooling at the toilet area. Lights are also confusing to operate as some require press and hold to turn on.

We spent a night at this hotel for our stopover in Istanbul. The staff was friendly, the hotel was in a very central area, everything close by. The room was spacious and had all we needed. Unfortunately the windows were facing towards the street so it was very noisy at night but still got a proper sleep thanks to the comfy bed. The room smelled a little weird when we first entered( believe it was chemicals to clean the room and the floor was sticky as well) but later we got used to it. Overall was a great stay
We had a wonderful stay at AC Hotel Maçka by Marriott. From the moment we arrived, the welcoming and professional staff made us feel right at home. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. Our room was comfortable, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. A special thank you to the housekeeping team for keeping our room spotless every day—the service was exceptional. The location is another huge advantage. It’s perfectly situated with easy access to public transportation, great restaurants, shopping, and many of Istanbul’s top attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend AC Hotel Maçka by Marriott to anyone visiting Istanbul. We look forward to staying here again!
Overall, AC Hotel Istanbul Macka can be a reasonable option for those who specifically need to stay in the Besiktas area. The location is convenient, with cafés nearby where you can have tea and desserts. Breakfast is not luxurious, but it is filling and reasonably varied. Freshly squeezed orange juice is a nice plus. It is also convenient that there is an iron and ironing board in the room. That said, our overall impression of the stay was mixed. During check-in, the receptionist initially stated that the room had not been paid for, even though I showed the Booking.com payment confirmation. The issue was resolved only after a senior staff member got involved; the mistake was then acknowledged and an apology was offered. The hotel looks more modern in the photos than it does in reality. In practice, it feels somewhat tired, and the rooms are very small. Also, there is a noisy street under the windows, so for guests who prefer sleeping with the windows open, this may not be the best option. On the first morning, the breakfast area was very crowded. There were almost no proper tables available, only a table with high chairs, which was not very comfortable. The staff also seemed to struggle with clearing the tables quickly enough. Another inconvenience is the lack of a bar menu. To find out the price of any alcoholic drink, you have to ask the bartender about each specific item. In summary, the hotel is best suited for guests who value the Besiktas location and do not expect a fully modern hotel. For a short stay, it is acceptable, but expectations regarding the condition of the rooms and the organization of service should be moderate.
This is my third stay at this hotel. The location is perfect.... A fifteen minutes walk to the Tram line that gets you to the most important tourist sites, close to the Ferry stations, and just "next door" is a treasure trove of restaurants, shops and fun activities.... The rooms are fair size and well appointed, the breakfast is more than sufficient to give you a great start to your day... The two young ladies working there are exceptional. I am coming back here in the middle of June 26.... Looking forward to my visit
