Really amazing experience, possibly the best way to visit the jungle, everything was organised perfectly to ensure that you truly live the magic of the jungle from the booking in Iquitos to the transfers by car, the boat trip, the accomodation and the food. The guides are very knowledgeable, you are guranteed to see dolphins, parrots and possible sloths and monkes. I con only recommend this tour and this agent, you will not be disappointed.

Wow, so Amazin, probabily the best experience of my entire life, I ll do it again for sure as soon as I can, thx so much
This tour covered four days, and you arrive by boat to Orlando's Jungle Lodge. The place is very rustic, you need to use good insect spray, and definitely follow their packing list. You set out from this lodge for your expeditions. We did day and night hikes in the forest to see monkeys, frogs, birds, tarantulas, and bullet ants. The highlights were seeing pink dolphins surfacing and being able to just sit in the boat and watch them. They are too quick and unpredictable to get a photo, I recommend you use video. Second highlight was fishing for piranha, then heading back under darkness on the river to spot caymans, and almost getting caught in a violent thunderstorm. This is a tour for those who don't mind heat, rain, mosquitos, and rustic (~ camping) facilities. If your idea of sleeping under the stars is a 4 or 5 star hotel, this might not be for you. We really enjoyed the tour, were fully ensconced in the Amazonian Forest, and well-catered to by our experienced Guide. High marks.
The 4 day adventure in the jungle was amazing! We had three guides Lander, Justo and Marcelo who were great/ Justo is a local and lives in the village Buenos Aires inside the reserve, so on the way back we visited his house and had lunch there. Really enjoyed all the activities in the jungle and sleeping in the tents. Thank you!
Hitalo is more than a guide, he is a local inhabitant, a native, someone who lives in the Pacaya Samiria reserve, therefore he is accustomed to it, he knows how to look for food, medicinal herbs, and see animals. On this tour the animals are not staged, you see them if you have patience and luck (we have seen dolphins, a caiman, macaws, a water turtle, a giant toad, some monkeys in the distance, we have caught several fish, but no anaconda or sloths...). The experience is very authentic and not very artificial. The camping was great, the food on the boat too (Angela the cook and Hitalo's wife is a fantastic person), Rommel is an expert and precise captain and a great fisherman. Only downside: the driver for the Iquitos-Nauta-Iquitos trip is one of the worst we have encountered in Peru: sudden braking, sudden acceleration, little reading and anticipation of traffic...
We did the 2 day and one night Amazon tour and it was all perfect. Oscar who owns us attended wonderfully and the guide Daniel was excellent. The facilities where we slept were very good and the food super plentiful. Luckily we were able to do everything we were promised, if we come back we will certainly do some new tour with them.
An experience that we will never forget, our guides Orlando and Italo super attentive at all times, have made this experience perfect, the delicious food, we have gone into the jungle, we have learned a lot about flora and fauna and customs there.. a good experience to know this part of Peru, to repeat!!
The experience was amazing, but more living it hand in hand with people who live in the reserve itself. Definitely an experience worth doing if you come to Peru - Iquitos. Both Orlando, and Italo are amazing, and Angy's hand food is amazing too. I highly recommend the experience, it will not disappoint you at all! Suddenly get well hahaa
Highly recommended! It was an incredible trip in the middle of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest; we learned about its richness of plants and animals thanks to the well-prepared local guide. We swam with dolphins, watched the magnificent starry night from the boat in the middle of the river as we listened to Amazonian stories, tasted local food, and fell asleep and woke to the sounds of the jungle. A wonderful experience!
My friends and I would like to express our sincerest and deepest appreciation for the four days spent in the wonderful Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Orlando and Italo have been you who, with your expert guide, showed us all the beauty and knowledge of this place. To Orlando, thank you for your knowledge of medicinal plants and valuable survival tips and to Italo, thank you for conveying your passion and love for the jungle and for your coastal care during the trip. Special thanks to the rest of the team: Angela and Percy; we will carry them all in our memory and heart!
It was an experience of pure nature, of tranquility, of enjoying with the group company in a wild and wonderful environment. It is perfect for nature lovers if you don’t mind abandoning the usual comfort for a few days. Local guides always attentive and transmitting their knowledge and wisdom
Thanks for everything Orlando, we spent some wonderful days in a unique nature environment, we were taught survival techniques and many natural medicines that natives use for all kinds of diseases, they were amazing days full of adventures.
I was on a 4D/3N tour in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve with a group of friends where my expectations were exceeded, thanks to the service and treatment of the collaborators of the Jungle Explorer agency, I hope to have another opportunity to return to these places. I had the opportunity to meet insects, primates and my favorite mammal “Delfin Rosado”. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Full incursion into the Reservation staying with local people in the area in camps and tents. We took jungle hikes and boat trips where we could observe many animals: dolphins, sloth bears, alligators, piranhas, multitudes of birds, etc. Unique and highly recommended experience.
A true experience of the Pacaya Samiria reserve, camping allows you to enjoy the flora and fauna in a natural way. Thanks to the guide Max, the experience was incredible.
Excellent service from Mr. Jungle Explorer company. Orlando Cueva, my family and I are very grateful for the tour to Pacaya Samiria, I recommend it, I am grateful to our guide Erik and the motorist Oscar, they took care of all the land and river transportation, the food, the camp and the planning of the activities Everything was excellent, all we had to do was enjoy seeing the animals in their natural habitat. Until the next adventure, thank you very much.
Impeccable experience! Orlando has been an excellent coordinator of our trip to Pacaya Samiria. He had from the beginning a remarkable kindness and a certain clarity in offering us what we were looking for. Our Guides, Ricardo and Erick have been great, both in knowledge of the jungle and care in the camps and feeding. We live all the greatness of Pacaya Samiria feeling cared for and accompanied by expert people, I highly recommend it. Thanks for everything!
An unforgettable experience, we had a great time with friends the very attentive guides the hostel always watching over us. Excellent
From start to finish highly recommended. If you are looking for hikes, night walks at night, fishing in the river, and sleeping in the middle of the jungle (in your tent), then this tour is ideal. Ronie, Alex and the other guides very friendly and willing to help. Yes, art repellent and long clothing to protect yourself as much as possible from mosquitoes ^^
Both Rony and Alex are fantastic guides, people who are very willing to help you and explain what you need. Very well the driver of the boat Riquelme who was always when needed. I recommend this experience 100x100 for those bold forgiveness who want to live adventures.
It's been an amazing experience. Guides Alex and Ronie have made us enjoy the adventure at all times. We have experienced the sensation of traveling to the Amazon squeezing every minute we have lived there. Experience 100% recommended.
Excellent experience, I recommend them 100% since they pick you up from the hotel, punctual, friendly, the excellent guide, kept us always attentive, and we had the opportunity to see different animals, and even caught them right there to see it up close as a small alligator and then released it, nice experience, would return again to pacaya samiria. Thank you!!!
Catastrophic experience!!! Lack of security during Iquitos' trip to the reserve! Journey by car (2h) then by canoe (3h), both modes of transport being super uncomfortable. The organization miscalculated the travel time we were still on the river in the middle of the night with a very violent thunderstorm... We had to stop and get off the boat in the dark with our bags. THE guide did not know how to get off my wife's boat and she fell into the river in the middle of the night with the ac containing 2 ipad and 1 mac!!! everything lost!! The guide did not manage to keep her from falling or at least take her bag before she went down!! Beyond this experience, room without toilet on arrival or even without light... installed on the spot so much we threatened the team in place Then beyond that, very few animals seen; the guide was really inexperienced; the guide who accompanied us was not at all competent On the other hand, the village team was very welcoming, the cook very pleasant. In short; zero pointed to the organizer who on our return to Iquitos left us at the hotel without giving any sign of life or even trying to find compensation!! Avoid! Catastrophic experience!!! Great experience with the best guide and host, Orlando Cueva. I'll never forget what I've lived through, and the best part, canoe fishing. It will be until next time!!! Recommended item
There could not be a guide and Enterprise with greater knowledge of nature.....an AMAZING link. We stayed 5 days and 4 nights. We saw an incredible amount and variety of fauna thanks to the knowledge of Rogelio and the rest of the people who collaborated. Pacaya Samiria is a real paradise...and if you go with guides or an Enterprise (like Jungle Explorer) that you know of the place and animals, you will not be disappointed: you will see much or more than you expect (even considering how unpredictable it is to see animals in their wild state.....don't forget that: the jungle is NOT a zoo). 100% recommend this tour. I personally intend to return in a year for a longer tour even.
Great adventure and better experience in a unique place. The best the guide, the great Daniel “Jaguar the Nettles”, a madman of his work with a knowledge of the impressive place. If you are looking for a real adventure in the jungle, ask for the
A great, welcoming, accommodating agency that offered us an incredible stay in the heart of the Amazon rainforest with a seasoned guide. Swimming in the Amazon, fishing for pirahna, observing pink and grey dolphins, caiñens, ñygales, boa, wild camping, meeting locals who live in the forest! Just Amazing, GRACIAS
Amazing experience at Pacaya Samiria. We stayed 4 nights in a tent, fishing for piranhas for dinner surrounded by dolphins, touring the jungle with a machete, admiring an anaconda of six meters a little more than a meter away, taking alligators with the hands... Too bad the rain didn't give us pause but, even with rain, we would definitely repeat again.
We spent four exceptional days in the Pacaya Samiria reserve accompanied by serious and especially passionate guides! Nothing escapes them: medicinal plants, wild animals, insects of all kinds... Meals are always cooked (even in camping!). One of only three agencies allowed to enter the reserve. Thank you for this exceptional adventure!!!
