We had an amazing week in the Highlands. Lewis customized our tour based on our input. We accomplished everything we wanted to see and do. We saw lots of castles, distillery tours and tasting, battlefields. I would really give this week a 10.

Excellent tours! Lewis added so much additional information and we never felt rushed or hurried! So flexible!

What a wonderful day! Lewis expertly guided us to three great distilleries, each of which was quite interesting and tasty. Along the way we saw some beautiful countryside, and Lewis filled us with loads of information. I highly recommend both Lewis and the tour.

Carole kept us on time and was very knowledgeable about the distilleries. It is very good to get a driver so you can taste all the whiskies.

Such a knowledgeable guide. He introduced us personally to all three distilleries. Suggested places for lunch and showed us the shop where Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother shopped in Beauly. Punctual and returned us to the shop in good time. Highly recommended.

The personalized whiskey tour was great. Our driver Carole took us to four different distilleries over the course of eight hours. Since we had a driver, we were allowed to sample whiskey at each stop. At Cardhu, I fed an apple to a Highland Cow which was great. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to visit distilleries.

This review is actually for December of 2022, but I am unable to select that far back in time. BUT I think it speak volumes to what a great trip we had that I am leaving this review over a year later. Gordon was a wonderful host and arranged great stops along the way. He showed us some historical sites and had a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding areas. There were 4 us in total and he was able to accommodate us comfortably. Planning the trip was easy and we were able to say different places we would like to visit and he worked on making it happen. We were a challenging group because it was winter and still very much dealing with COVID restrictions, but he succeeded nonetheless. Then to add more challenges, we needed to adjust the trip due to an extra experience we wanted to add on and he was very flexible there. One of the stops he arranged, ended up being just the 5 of us and the staff which led to a very intimate tasting experience where we left feeling like locals. All in all, it was a wonderful time and if/when we make it back to the highlands, we plan to book another visit with Gordon. I'm only sorry I did not get this review posted sooner!

We booked Grandtours for 3 days. Gordon communicated with me months in advance and provided recommendations for distillery visits as well as made all reservations for distillery tours. He picked me and my family (4 people) in his spacious van from the Inverness airport. He drove us to all the distilleries (Glenlivet, Cardhu, GlenFarcis to name a few) and on the way gave us a wealth of information about Scotland. He also accommodated a last minute change and took us to see Loch Ness. Finally Samatha from his team drove us to Edinburgh Very patient, very helpful, just genuinely very nice ! Highly recommend !!!!

Our trip with Carole was perfect! Everything was specifically tailored to us and we could make decisions as we went along. She knew how to guide us without being pushy. It was clear that Carole had a good working relationship with the distilleries we chose and we are confident this holds true with the other distilleries as well. It made for an extra special day. We couldn't have asked for more!

Gordon took us on a fantastic tour of 4 Spyside distilleries with a lovely lunch. Gordon is fantastic, he is a great driver/guide with an extensive knowledge of the area and distilleries. We had a lot of fun with Gordon and would highly recommend booking him.

Let me start by saying that Gordon was a lovely guide, fun and knowledgable. Like having a friend along for the beautiful drive up into the highlands - a friend who knows a good deal more about whisky and history! He arrived promptly with a very comfortable vehicle built for the slightly icy roads and drove us through the sunrise, asking us about our favorites before settling on a few distilleries that he thought we would like. We were never rushed and felt that we could make changes all the while. He also was kind enough to find us a great spot for lunch in between the tastings. All of his recommendations proved to be great ones and we really enjoyed the tour from start to finish. I would encourage anyone to trust him with your tour and you won't be disappointed. I will certainly be back for a longer one next time!

We had an amazing experience with Gill taking us around Speyside for an afternoon. The balance of distilleries she chose was perfect, drives in between not too long and super comfortable. Apart from being an amazing and experienced driver. she had lots of information and details on locations and distilleries. I live in Speyside - and she still managed to surprise me! not really worth the money; we had done a whisky tour a few days prior where we paid a local cab company to take us around and we contacted the distilleries which cost us <20% as much as this tour. We were hopeful that the tour would provide extra color or access to distilleries that are hard to get into but that wasn’t really the case. Would recommend a DIY version yourself.

Carol was wonderful. We loved her. She made the trip special. We enjoyed her whiskey selections. Recommend this trip.

Gordon arranged a day of whisky tasting for myself and 3 friends. The whole trip was perfect from start to finish - Gordon was super organised in preparing everything and making sure we stuck to our itinery as well as answering all my questions before hand. He's a really great guy with a huge amount of knowledge of the area and is extremely professional. Will definitely be back!

Gordon our host truly made our day absolutely amazing. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and is very knowledgeable of the area. We hit 3 distilleries and is willing to do whatever ones you are interested in or will recommend ones if you don’t know where you want to go. He took care of everything and even picked us up at the train station in the morning in Inverness and took us to Loch Ness as well. This is worth every penny to have a driver and guide especially if you like your whiskey 🥃 like I do!! Thanks Gordon hopefully see you again soon!

This whisky tour was a mutual birthday present for my husband and me. Gordon did a fantastic job accommodating our requests and organising the distillery tours and tastings. He is an excellent guide and made our trip very enjoyable. I highly recommend him booking with him for a whisky tour or other tours in Scotland.

Gordon provided excellent service for our 3 day tour around Inverness. Everything was incredibly smooth and thoughtfully planned out with precision. Everything we had planned out came to fruition and he was able accommodate all our requests. We visited 5 separate whisky distilleries, 1 gin distillery and went on an incredible hike up Meall a' Bhuachaille for some incredible views. Gordon has incredible local knowledge and all the food recommendations hit the spot. Gordon was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable. He made our time here particularly enjoyable and memorable. I cannot recommend Gordon’s tours highly enough.

Gordon took us on a 3 day culture and distillery tour. He was knowledgeable, punctual and very well organised and above all we enjoyed his company. He personalised parts of the tour including adding a gin distillery. Thanks for the tour and enjoy the balblair!

amazing day with Gordon on a whisky tour. before the day Gordon gave serval options and was really helpful in getting the itinerary to suit us, due to covid the plan needed to change slightly which Gordon took in his stride and provided a great tour. on the day Gordan was knowledgeable and fun i cant recommend the tour enough. from our experience i would recommend the a Whisky tour with Gordon and have no doubt his other tours would be just as good. Gordon was very informative and chatty, visited 5 distilleries and went to a nice wee pub for lunch. Sampled some very enjoyable whiskies. Views were scenic, nice to be a wee bit off the beaten track. Would highly recommend.
