We were visiting from America (FL) and Gordon was incredible! He was so funny and entertaining, but most importantly to us he was full of education and tribal knowledge. He shares stories and customs that were passed down from Scot to Scot over generations. Another great thing is that we never felt rushed at all. He let us go at our own pace and we really enjoyed a full day trip from Inverness to Isle of Skye and stopping at lots of places along the way. A little tug of his complimentary whiskey made for a fun ride too. The kids had a great time. The fairy pools were awesome and we couldn’t have had better weather all day long in March.

Truly memorable visit to Isle of Skye. Gordon is a unique character who gave us a unique trip from Inverness. He’s a story teller in the old tradition who attracts attention wherever he goes.

We can’t say enough good things about Gordon! He’s a great tour guide, phenomenal story teller, and all around good guy to get to know! He made sure we could see as much as we could fit into our day, but also let us spend as much time in the different places as we wanted. Not if, but when we come back to the Scottish Highlands we will be booking with him again!

My daughter and I had a great day with Gordon. The sights were beautiful and Gordon was knowledgeable and a great story teller. It was definitely nice to have someone navigate the roads for you, especially the road to the fairy pools. It was also fun to stop at some of the local shops and loved feeding the coos! Would definitely recommend this tour!

This was one of the best things on our 10 day itinerary through Scotland and England. Gordon was a great guide! He had a lot of knowledge and good stories to keep us entertained for a journey with the cows, castles, and fairy pools. We also stopped for some good breakfast, coffee, and pastries along the way. Got to feed some hairy coos!!! Saw some places from a distance to take pics. Skye was wonderful and the fairy pools were awesome! Beautiful scenery. Loved that Gordon knew locals and took us places that only locals would know.

Gordon is an amazing story teller and so knowledgeable about not only the history of Scotland, but also its people and animals! It was cold and rainy the whole day but we didn’t even think about it once. We traveled with friends who drove themselves and our experiences were night and day. We loved our private tour to the Isle of Skye with Gordon! So informative and with great humor too. He showed us a lot of the Isle of Skye plus lots of stops along the way. We loved that it was customized to our interests and didn’t feel like we were rushed from one stop to another. We got to see animals like the hairy coos and red deer, hiked the Fairy Pools, saw Eilean Donan and more. Thanks Gordon, this was a highlight of our trip!

50 years I traveled around the sun. On my 50th birthday, I met an amazing storyteller and guide who took me and my wife on a fantastic journey though the highlands of Scotland, the Isle of Skye, and the world of the fairies. Some might claim this storyteller was a fairy himself: but if so, he hides his pointy ears quite well! This was no "tour", mind you. It was an adventure unlike any I have had, and it's a memorable experience I will hold in the highest regard for the rest of my life. Gordon is kind, friendly, knowledgeable and funny. He is a great host on any journey. We were with him for the entire day, and it was still not long enough. I would have traveled every inch of Skye with him and enjoyed every moment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This tour was the best part of my holiday in Scotland. Gordon was the best tour guide and storyteller, and it was my pleasure to go on his tour through the highlands to the Isle of Skye. I learned a lot of Scottish history and folklore, saw some beautiful scenery, and got to feed carrots to a wild red deer and a hairy coo. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a day trip while on holiday/vacation.

We had the best day ever. Our guide, Gordon, was very knowledge, entertaining and told great stories. He went out of his way to make the day great. Great scenery, exhilarating trek to the fairies pools and a trip to a lovely little fairy stop. The best part of the trip was the close encounters with wild 🦌 deer and (Gordon being the expert hairy coo stealer that he is) the super close encounter with the beautiful hairy coos. He had a few surprises up his kilt too. Really a trip to remember.

Had the pleasure of spending the day with Gordon, trekking through the Scottish countryside. My wife and I loved the tour, from stories of Scottish clan leaders to tales of the fairy folk that inhabited the imaginations of early Scots, this tour really delivered. Gordon really knows his stuff and filled the whole day with a mix of historical information, local customs and even some up close and personal time with shy red deer and the majestic Scottish catle knows as hairy coos. I really felt this tour lived up to the reviews! Tips: Wear comfortable shoes that can get wet and muddy. Most of the public restrooms we stopped at take credit cards, no need to carry coins (e.g. gas station in Skye, Loch Alsh)

It was raining. All day. But Gordon made this day the highlight of our first trip to Scotland. We visited Fairy Glen, fed the hairy coos and whiled deers, stopped for photos and souvenirs. Gordon, the Storyteller, was an ex Ellenton guide. He answered every one of our many questions -- and took us on several short diversions to show us more about all of the toughest questions we asked. He thought of everything - brought carrots for the Scottish Cattle, brought a kilt, swords, shield, etc. so we could try them on at one of the battlefields he took us to, and took us from Inverness to the Isle of Skye and back. His stories were awesome and continuous -- no repetition at all as we traveled for almost 13 hours with him. Excellent guide and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend Gordon the Storyteller!!

Gordon was the absolutely best guide. We had a very full day with lots of history and amazing stops along the way. Highly recommend Gordon for a guide. It was just my husband and I so the personalization aspect made this much more enjoyable to us rather than one of those large bus tours.

The tour was well worth the cost. Gordon the guide and owner caters to your needs and likes. He is a great story teller and very knowledgeable regarding history. The tour lasted 12 hours and was flexible as far as stops and duration. Gordon came well supplied for several treats and surprises along the way. Once in a lifetime tour with Gordon! We were looking for a private tour that provided flexibility and found exactly that. Gordon is extremely knowledgeable about the Highlands and a great story teller. We saw the whole Isle of Sky with the help of his recommendations. There were plenty of opportunities for pictures, hiking, and to interact with wild life. If in Inverness, this tour is a must.

We spend two weeks traveling through Europe and I can honestly say that the day spent with Gordon in the Highlands and Isle of Skye was my favorite and the absolute best day! To have a tour guide all to yourselves that knows the Highlands like no other was the best way to see everything, there is no way a bigger bus or even on our own, we would have seen everything we saw. He customized the tour for us and showed us so many things we would have never got to see otherwise. Gordon was amazing, fun, authentic and so knowledgeable-the van is super comfy to get in and out of and we felt completely safe with him on a very rainy but beautiful Highland day. You even get to enjoy free Scottish Whiskey throughout the day if you choose, a definite perk! From petting and feeding the Hairy Coos (so adorable) to calling in Nessie, the Fairy's and the amazing scenery, stories and history, this will be a day you won't forget! Overall, this was the absolute best way to tour the Scottish Highlands-don't pass this one up!!

We spent 10 days in the Highlands and our day with Gordon was our absolute favorite day! He took us to so many places we never would have found on our own. We saw beautiful sites all day, met the famous hairy highland coos, bought one of a kind gifts, and generally just had a blast! Gordon also skipped some of the places we had already been and added on new places we had never even heard of. I highly highly recommend doing a private tour with Gordon. You won't regret it! Oh and very importantly, he was the best driver we had during our time including cab drivers. We felt very safe with him. Thanks again, Gorrrrdon!

This tour was worth every penny. The views were amazing and the guide was fun as well as very flexible to make sure we saw everything we wanted. It was far more peaceful than a huge bus tour and we could stay longer or shorter at stops depending on our interests.

If you're in Inverness don't pass up the opportunity to spend a day or two touring with Gordon. He will take you on the road less traveled to see the highlands like no other tour guide could. Educational, entertaining, spectacular views, hairy coos, deer, wild goats, castles, old cemeteries, fairy village, local shops, and much more. Our day with Gordon was like visiting with an old friend and was the highlight of our trip. He arrived impeccably dressed with a comfortable vehicle and all the whisky we could drink. He knows all the hidden gems for the best views and encounters with wee beasties. While we didn’t steal any coos - which mind you is an honorable profession - we did get to see them up close and give them a treat. Gordon is a gifted storyteller and I would highly recommend spending a day with him touring and learning about this beautiful country.

Do it! We contacted Gordon to request a few modifications to our day to better include our 6-year old and he gladly obliged. Fantastic storyteller with lots of local and off-the-beaten path knowledge. We had a wonderful day that included a number of whiskey tastings, castle visits, and epic highland mountain drives. I would definitely recommend Gordon to friends. And if you do get the pleasure of his company, ask him about dancing with the Queen!
