Itinerary
You board the local train to Lauterbrunnen. It will take you within 25 minutes into the Lauterbrunnen valley.
Arrive at the village of Lauterbrunnen closed to the end of the valley, with a view of the surrounding mountains. Here you change onto the local bus, which drives in 10 minutes to Stechelberg.
The village is connected by the Luftseilbahn Stechelberg-Mürren-Schilthorn (LSMS), an aerial tramway constructed in 1965, to other amenities and locations in the area.
After two rides on the aerial cableway, you make a stop at the "Birg" station. A panoramic terrace allows you to enjoy the stunning panoramo to the surrounding mountains. If you prefer a bit more thrill: The steel structure clings to the rock before swerving under the observation deck and cableway to end below the cable car station. Features including a crawl-through tunnel, glass-bottomed floor, rope and cattle grid lend an additional frisson of thrill to this spine-tingling adventure.
Arrive at "Piz Gloria", the location featured in the 1969 James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The summit has a panoramic view which spans from the Titlis, Jungfrau, Mönch, Eiger, over the Bernese Alps and the Jura mountains up to the Vosges Mountains and the Black Forest. Mont Blanc is also just visible. The revolving restaurant, the terrace and the special exhibition about the James Bond movie are the sight that you will visit during your stay.
Mürren is a traditional Walser mountain village in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland, at an elevation of 1,638 meters above sea level and it cannot be reached by public road. With a walk through the village you will cross Mürren within 20 minutes. Enjoy the typical wooden chalets and the panoramic views to the surrounding mountains, before you board the local railway in direction Lauterbrunnen. Several restaurants and bars invite you to relax, to enjoy the view, or discover old wooden chalets and green meadows. Your tour guide is available to you for information or hints about Mürren and places to go.
From Lauterbrunnen, the local train takes you back in 25 minutes to Interlaken, where the tour ends.

The tour guide is very friendly and helpful and we had a great time! Highly recommend everyone to join this tour.
Our guide was great. We were the only two people on this tour. Our guide was quite flexible and always gave us choices on how to get to our next destination. We loved the walking/hiking suggestions. Unfortunately I can’t spell his name! He was a sub for our original guide who was sick.
Michael was extremely helpful and enjoyable! He was very knowledgeable, took great pictures and made sure we hit all the good places. Highly recommend!
Great views and good food at the Pizza Gloria restaurant. The cliff at birg was also something not to miss. However the tour guide was nothing but a coordinator of the tickets. There was no explanation of the history or what things were unless asked. Also, the various gondolas you have to take to get to the top are packed with people standing that you can almost can't breathe.
The spectacular views and exciting travel cannot be over stated. Unbelievable!!! The experience was capped off by our excellent guide Dominic. He made the tremendous adventure just that much better !!!
The outstanding part of our tour was our guide, Roberto. There were only two of us participating in the tour with Roberto because my wife was not well and needed a day off. This allowed plenty of time to learn more about Switzerland as well as discuss a wide-ranging number of topics. The mountain scenery was beautiful, the weather absolutely perfect and transport by train and cable car were a learning experience. I strongly recommend Roberto to any potential tour customers. He was sensitive to our toilet needs and generally kept a close eye on our safety and comfort.
Wonderful day trip! Our guide Rachel was amazing! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with us. She had little surprises for us along the way. The tour was perfectly timed and coordinated. Loved Piz Gloria and the bond exhibit. Big fan of the film. Fun place to have lunch. Part way down we did a walk along the cliff which was terrifying but beautiful. Views throughout the trip were stunning. Pictures can’t do it justice.
I would rate this trip as the last compared to Mount Titlis and Jungfrauouch day trips. Our tour guide Maya was an amazing person and took good care of us very well with all the information about the local community and even guided us to a good restaurant to try out Swiss food of cheese fondue and Rostti. Unfortunately, it was very foggy that day and we couldn’t get any view at the top and also couldn’t try out the cliff walk. Please check out the weather before you plan. I still think that this tour is very expensive compared to Mt. Titlis and Jungfrauouch tours by Best of Switzerland tours. I’m not sure if Schlithorn-Pizgloria trip is worth the $300/person trip. On the way back we were dropped at Traumelbache falls and we did a self guided tour of the falls and we were awestruck by the gush of the glacier falls inside the gorge. Never miss it.
Michael, our guide made our experience much more interesting with facts and stories about not only Schilthorn Piz-Gloria but the areas we travelled through. Thankyou Michael. It was a pleasure spending our day with you. Julie and Andrew York
Our tour guide was delightful. She shared many insights about Swiss culture and gave our group some time to explore on our own as well. Our teenage kids said it was their favorite day yet.
loved the travel to Jungfraujoch. Got some stunning views. Tourguide was informative and helping a lot. As the group left after three hours, I could stay longer and travelled back myself. Good option!
We liked that you always see something different throughout the day and are never in the same place. Our tour guide knows the James Bond film by heart and so he was able to show us places where the film was shot on the way. Can recommend it, even if you are not James Bond fan!
The tour was exciting and very varied. The ride on the gondola is an experience in itself. The tour guide took us through the thrill walk, which takes a bit of courage. The walk in Mürren was great and overall we never got bored on the tour.
Interesting location from James Bond movie. Relaxing schedule on tour and fantastic "Swiss Skyline" views. Loved it.
Had a wonderful scenic trip and lot of fun on this tour. Seen so many different things and got information from our guide which we did not know!
Schöne Rundreise mit faszinierenden Ausblicken auf das Panorama. Preislich eine sehr gute Alternative zu Jungfraujoch. Insgesamt spannender und unterhaltsamer als am Vortrag.
