From start to finish it was great time. The check-in was easy, the staff was incredibly nice, and the facilities for waiting & getting your equipment was really cool. Out tour guide Constantine was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour - we highly recommend him!! Due to avalanche risks in general in Switzerland I was so impressed with how they responded to my email about how they handle this, how carefully they monitored the situation and had backup plans and still took us on a very safe and beautiful snow shoe hike. Thanks so much - we will definitely use this company again!!
We did two tours with Outdoor from the Interlaken Base, and were really happy we did. I actually found them through the Get your Guide app but wish I had come across their website instead, because they had way more options than I realized. We were originally scheduled for a snowshoeing tour on Thursday afternoon, but they contacted us on Wednesday and said that tour may not happen, and offered to move our reservation to Friday morning or change it to sledding on Wednesday morning. I appreciated the advance communication, and we ended up doing both, transferring the snowshoe time and adding on sledding. The sledding was very fun, with it snowing the whole time. Danny was a lively guide, suggesting snow angels and a snowball fight along the way. The next morning we returned for snowshoeing. We ended up with a small tour, as part of the group didn't arrive, which made for a very personal experience. There was a small issue with parking at the hike location, but our guide, Timmy, handled it well. The views were incredible, and we ended up with glorious weather. I loved that the hike location was at a natural preserve area and that there were very few people, giving you the feeling you were alone in nature. It was so quiet and serene. I would describe the snowshoeing as more moderate than easy, if you are not used to climbing in elevation. I very much appreciated that the guide was thoughtful and intentional, checking in on my friend often after she needed to use an inhaler during the climb. The rest point came at a great time, and the descent was quite fun! I highly recommend this experience and this company. With the snow the day before everything was so sparkly and lovely. You spend the time thinking this is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, here in the alps. I would definitely book with them again and try out more of their experiences. This is one of the better guide companies that I have had the pleasure of utilizing. As a side note we traveled from another area to get to the Interlaken base and found their website directions to be quite helpful in selecting which station to use via train. Also, the check-in folks gave us good lunch suggestions. We ate both days at local places they recommended in Interlaken and enjoyed the food and experience both times.
The snowshoeing was amazing. Dani G was our guide and seriously deserves a raise. He was super knowledgeable about the area and made sure everyone in the group had a great time. The tour was about 5 hours and it wasn’t that intense, very relaxing. The views were unreal and made it totally worth it. If you’re looking for something unique to do in Switzerland, I’d 100% recommend this. Huge shoutout to Dani G!
Great views, good activity. Can be a bit physically demanding but nothing too much. Biggest issue was dressing for the change in temperatures/elevation. Due to activity and elevation, got significantly warmer the further up the mountain but cold at the start. Helpful and knowledgable guides. Very easy logistics with Outdoor- great company to book activities through.
Great experience very well organised and good equipment. Very knowledgeable and friendly guides - highly recommended
The views are worth the trip...first time using snowshoes and was easy to use. Daniel was our guide and he was very patient with some of the group that lagged behind taking lots of pictures
So beautiful. The views were amazing. Would definitely recommend. Only wish we were snow-shoeing for longer because it felt a little quick.
Great value Really enjoyed the route Good for solo travellers looking for an adventure that you can’t do alone
Snowshoeing was a highlight of our time in Switzerland. The tour guide was really entertaining and ran the whole activity well. Would definitely recommend doing this.
Aleksei was our tour guide. Absolutely INCREDIBLE. Could not have asked for a better paced walk. Not too fast, not too slow. Really recommend it as an alternative to skiing—I had skied the past few days before and, honestly, needed to change it up. Great way to do so. Bravo!
This tour gave me the chance to experience the Swiss Alps for a couple hours, in way that would have otherwise been impossible, considering transportation, time and equipment. Snowshoeing along a snowy path high within the Swiss Alps was almost surreal as it's truly one of the most beautiful winter wonderlands you can imagine. The guides were professional yet personable. Danny kept things light while at the same time made sure to keep us safe, especially on the way back down. Coming from someone who considers themself active and fairly fit, this still was a definite workout but it was doable and you could continue on at your own pace. If you have a chance to do this tour, I 💯 advice you to go for it.
Interlaken is a really good place to base yourself if you want to explore the area. We were overwhelmed when we arrived and saw all the millions activities there are. However, we got all the info we needed explained at the tourism center. I’d recommend the day passes as they are much cheaper than buying tickets individually. Nearby towns and the views from the Alps were amazing! The one thing I noticed is that must workers at the buses, trains, gondolas are very rude. They seem tired of dealing with tourists everyday.
We signed up for the 9 am Snowshoeing tour the night before but were informed on arrival that the tour was unable to happen because there were not enough sign-ups. However, they were very helpful on offering alternative options and ultimately provided us with a much better experience on the 1 pm tour with a fantastic tour guide(Danny). They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and the Van ride was euphoric! Great tunes! Great views!
The views were amazing!! Had a great time. I didn’t do any skiing or anything else on my trip so this was a great way to get out in nature and play in the snow. Danny is AMAZING as a guide. We had a small group and it felt like friends hanging out in the mountains. 100/10 would recommend this experience.
The snowshoeing tour was an amazing experience. The nature around Interlaken is gorgeous, and even though we were in the fog and therefore didn't have the expected views, it made for an even more adventurous experience. Our tour guide Danny was fantastic, very warm and friendly, and made the tour feel both exciting and comfortable for our skill level. Highly recommended!
We loved the beautiful mountains views! The scenery around Grindelwald was stunning. Our guide, Tommy, was absolutely fantastic with our group, each with different fitness levels, and full of interesting information about the area.
Snowshoeing was on our list, but it wasn't our first choice until Night Sledding was cancelled. We ended up doing a hike with Danny that really made for a great morning. Snowshoeing is just hiking in a place you wouldn't otherwise be able to go. The fresh air, the mountain views, and the quiet create a meditative tranquility that can't be beat. And just when you think it might be too peaceful for you, you start going downhill. It's part run, part fall that feels like skiing in slow-motion. And Danny handed out chocolate as a snack. I couldn't recommend this any more, just dress in layers, because it's possible to get too warm.
It was a beautiful day in the Swiss moutains. We were part of a group of 8 people and our tour guide Ana was great. My only input would be that they tell you that it is quite a hilly tour. I didn't mind .... just would have liked to know beforehand.
This activity is just amazing. Again, the guide (Australian girl) was very nice and a good guide. This is a must do activity if you like hiking. Please note that this is a Moderate level hiking.
My fiancée and I had an amazing experience snowshoeing on this tour with Outdoor Interlaken. Our guide Tommy was great, helpful and very patient with the slower members of our group of about 12. It’s the best way to workout your legs amongst the most incredible views! Would highly recommend
Did a snowshoe tour with Sebastian on New Years Day...it was awesome! Sebastian was the best! Great guide...great time! Made a dinner recommendation...spot on...Stadthaus! Weinersnitzel, burgers, Rosti were delicious...and the house beer was spectacular! Thanks Sebastian! Thanks Outdoor Interlaken!
My wife and I were lucky to be the ONLY ones on the tour so our tour. Our tour guide, Matthew, was able to tailor the tour for us and go "off the beaten path" since it was just us. It was awesome! We had never snowshoed before and it was easy to learn. We were both "fit" individuals so Matthew was able to take us to more challenging and fun terrain on the mountain with incredible views. He was the perfect tour guide. He was very fun, social, and about the same age as us. He gave us tons of tips/advice and what to do around town after snowshoeing. Because of him, we chose to come back the next day to ski/snowboard. The shop was great and had everything we needed for a day on the mountain. Great experience!
Must have experience when you be there on interlaken. outdoor-interlaken guide is much helpful and lead you towards snowy forests , fun to have a walk around 3 KM I really enjoyed.
Great experience, got a little stuck going up the mountain in the van but was fixed by using show chains. The guides were extremely helpful and met some interesting people (fellow snowshoe participants) on the snowshoe tour. The views were just majestic and we had a break in the middle to re-energize with water and energy bars. I thought it was going to be all flat but there were multiple uphill climbs which were a little difficult, but we made it through after enough effort. Was definitely a good workout. You need to be aware when you start going downhill because there's a specific technique you need to use and you really need to pay attention to the guides when they're explaining this technique. It was snowing when we were snowshoeing but not too cold. Overall, the surroundings were beautiful and this was an amazing experience, thank you Snowshoe Interlaken!!

This was a wonderful experience. The guides were professional, friendly, and entertaining. The hike itself was quite easy - even as someone who had never snowshoed before! Of course, the views were absolutely stunning. I loved it and would definitely do it again!

Wonderful experience with a very knowledgeable and and passionate team! The gondola ride up the mountain was spectacualr and the tour was beautiful. A little cardio needed to make it up the mountain, but a light snack and drink were graciously provided. The hike down was our favorite. Recommend!

This was the most amazing, beautiful experience I have ever had. I highly recommend it. It was a bit of a workout and a bit pricy, but well worth it!

We went on a snowshoe hike with Daniel and it was great. Good vibes, good mood, great equipment and everything well organized.
my teacher was very pedagogical and attentive, he picked us up at the hotel and walked us back after the hike: super cool!
