Royal St. Georges Hotel Interlaken - Mgallery Collection

This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had. We booked the Royal Suite, paying approximately ₹4 lakh for our stay, expecting a premium luxury experience. Instead, we were greeted with a room that had multiple basic maintenance and housekeeping issues. The room door was malfunctioning, the in-room telephone was not working, the washroom tap was faulty, and the room was noticeably dusty upon arrival. These are fundamental standards that any hotel—especially one positioning itself as a luxury property—should meet. Paying a premium price creates premium expectations. Unfortunately, this hotel failed to deliver even the basics. A luxury suite should offer comfort, attention to detail, and impeccable maintenance, but our experience was quite the opposite. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves the quality of its rooms and maintenance. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this property to travelers expecting a true luxury stay.

Outstanding experience. The staff is amazing! They went above and beyond to help us out so we don’t miss our train. For the staff to come together to help customers, is unheard of and we experienced that. Our immense gratitude to the staff! I didn’t get the names bcoz of the rush but it was a tall gentleman front desk and another staff member (who drove us) on August 22nd at 17:00 hrs.

A Wonderful 6-Night Family Stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of. Vasco greeted us warmly at check-in, and Eduardo gave us a thorough welcome along with fantastic recommendations that shaped our entire 6-day stay in Interlaken. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family of four — our two kiddos (2.5 and 5) settled in comfortably, which isn't always easy when traveling with little ones. Our room was cleaned beautifully every day, and the service staff was outstanding, anticipating our every need before we even had to ask. Our only small suggestion: a few more kid-friendly options at breakfast would have been a nice touch. Overall, a fantastic home base for exploring the Jungfrau region. We'd happily return — thank you to Vasco, Eduardo, and the whole team for making our family trip so memorable!

I had the pleasure of staying at Hôtel Royal St Georges Interlaken MGallery and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the river, which is especially appreciated during hot summer days. I highly recommend the nearby swimming area and the river float, but only for confident swimmers, as the current can be strong. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and professional. Keep in mind that this is a historic property with a classic, old-world atmosphere rather than a modern design. However, the standards of cleanliness, comfort, and digital services are excellent, making for a very pleasant stay. I would happily stay here again.
