The convenience of a private tour led by an enthusiastic guide from Tirol Travel made the trip well worthwhile. The Highline179 was a fun optional add on.
Marin was an excellent, efficient and informative driver. The ride was very comfortable. We enjoyed the ride and tour.
The tour was amazing! Anna is a great host and she explained everything perfectly to us! We had a great time and a great experience with her
This was a magical day with Anna at Neuschwanstein & in the Alps of Bavaria & Tyrol. Having requested a private tour tailored to our interests and time constraints, Anna came up with a tour totally focused on what we wanted and suggested a couple of her VERY special local favourites close by which were perfect. Her guidance on the order of the itinerary to avoid the worst of crowds could not have worked better. Anna has an impeccable balance of professionalism & friendliness and worked hard to ensure we got the best experience possible. We love this company and can’t recommend Anna enough. Loved this day. Enjoyed Anna and her personal attention. Highly recommend this company. Would travel with them again in a heartbeat. Feel like I have a new friend.
Fantastic day trip to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles from Innsbruck . Our guide Merin was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great value. Very easy to organise with Annas help. Recommend this tour company
We had a fantastic private tour of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles from Innsbruck . Marin our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Very easy to organise trip with Anna. Great value. Great day. Really recommend this company.
My husband and I had an amazing experience with Marin. Marin provided so much history and even quizzed us which was really fun. This was our first time in Austria so the history was wanted and truly appreciated. The advice given by Marin for all of the times for the castle and then what to do when entering the castle was perfect! I love his patience as well since walking was tough to the castle entrance for me. I learned that my legs swell with elevation and they had not recovered from doing top of Innsbruck the day before. I would do the carriage ride if I did this again when the bus was not operating. The weather was terrible en route back, but we felt completely safe the entire time. I just felt bad that Marin had to drive in it. Thank you both for this incredible journey! We will definitely use Anna and Marin when we are in the area again.
The castle is breathtaking! The surrounding area is beautiful. The bridge was thrilling! The thing that made the day so special was Anna, our guide. She was most helpful in every manner. Anna gave us the history and fun facts of the areas during the drive, making it fly by. Anna took care of every detail that we would NOT have thought of. She also knows of many picturesque locations that only the locals would know. Most importantly she was incredible with my family, taking care of our every needs, especially safe travel to and from the castle (1.5 hours). Hands down, without any hesitation, I would book with Anna again! In fact we may book her for a Salzburg excursion! Thank you Anna!
We booked a private tour and it was worth it. We had excellent service and our tour operator was superb. We had an enjoyable day.
Tour groups must be on time for Neuschwnstein tours, to the minute. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
My wife and I were escorted by Anna on a trip to Neuschwanstein. Along the way we stopped at Zugspitze and took the gondola to the top. Anna took care of everything for us, walked us up to ticket counters, gave us options along the way. Anna has a great depth of historical knowledge as it pertains to our drive up and the castle itself. She was very happy, upbeat and a great conversationalist! What we learned from Anna was tenfold, or more, than what we learned during the castle tour.
We really enjoyed our time with Marin and exploring Neuschwanstein castle. Unfortunately, the weather was very poor on our day of travel so we elected to cancel the other elements of our trip. Things to keep in mind: Travel from Innsbruck to Neuschwanstein can take much longer than expected due to temporary tunnel closures, car accidents, and traffic. It WILL take longer than you expect. We had fairly smooth sailing and it still took ~45 minutes longer than expected. When you arrive at Fussen, the tickets must be picked up at a specific time and the tour occurs at a specific time. This leads to a lot of wasted time but not enough time to take on other meaningful activities. We filled the time with a meal and waiting for a carriage ride to the top. Just the castle tour was an 8 hour day for us which pushed the limits of what our young family could do. Adding any other stops would have made this a 10+ hour day. We enjoyed the tour and Marin was really fantastic. However, having done this tour now, if I could go back in time I'm not sure I would do this tour from Innsbruck given the amount of time (8+ hour day) vs the actual time in the castle (35 minute tour).
Such a great experience, and our guide was great! Anna had a ton of information and kept the entire day interesting and filled with fun facts.
Anna and Marin were excellent. I couldn’t ask for more with this company. The Castle tour was amazing and each view was worth every penny and the time. Marin was so thorough in giving us the details of the history and where to stop for the perfect pictures. He even gave us tips on how to avoid the crowds and make it in a timely manner to thee castle grounds. Amazing trip all over and would recommend to anyone. A must do! ⭐️🌟💫✨
Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. Pick up a few bits of knowledge along the way from your guide who has lived in the area and has a passion for Tirole. She assists with the ticket purchase, informs you of the entry process and offers suggestions to get up to the castle based upon your ability. We did a slight variance and she tried to accommodate each request.
The scenery is as breathtaking as the castle itself and the tour provides lots of different vantage points to enjoy both. Our tour guide Marin was great. He was a wealth of information about the history of the castle and the area. He also made the whole experience fun and exciting for my ten year old son. Definitely recommend this tour!
Our guide, Marin, went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day possible. We were a bit unprepared for the cold weather at the summit of Zugspitze so he gave our daughter his jacket to borrow, which was very thoughtful. Before we entered the castle, Marin gave us specific instructions about how to make sure we had the best views throughout the tour. We are so thankful that he guided us through this adventure! It would have been extremely stressful to navigate everything by ourselves.
Anna is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history of the Schwangau area. It was great to have the 1 on 1 conversations and unique perspectives.
We visited the Castle and the suspension bridge in January 2025 during the low season. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide than Anna who has been very accommodating our request and our pace while maintaining the schedule to ensure we have a good time. She always explained the background and history of the site and gave detailed advice on how move around during the trip to ensure we did not waste time. She was also very good in introducing us the best local dishes and restaurants, which we can never find on our own. Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed the trip under her and we even strongly recommended her to our friends who has intent to go to Austria for holiday to engage her service.
The castle was fantastic! We got a great workout from climbing all the stairs!! Not terribly mobility-impaired friendly, but still worth a trip. The grounds were beautiful and the views stunning. Just be ready for a small uphill hike! Would definitely recommend!!
weather will dictate the experience castle is beautiful. tour guide excellent. suspension bridge amazing
Our guide Marin is one of the best guides that we have ever worked with. Marin is very knowledgeable and provided us with an exceptional experience. My wife and I highly recommend this company and hope to work with them again!
Anna was terrific. We got to go to the suspension bridge and both Castles. She discussed geography, topography, political, and royal history with ease depending on each of our interests. She told us about Bavaria and Tyrol and about herself. It was a an absolute pleasure to spend the day with her.
We did a private tour to Neuschwanstein Castle from Innsbruck in April 2025. Prior to the tour, communication through e-mail with Anna was fast and easy. Our guide/driver for the day was Marin. He was very knowledgeable and kept the drive entertaining. We visited the Highline 179 and did a tour inside the Neuschwanstein Castle. At the end of the day we had a nice dinner at a restaurant near the Castle. Marin provided very helpful tips regarding visiting the castle, which we appreciated a lot. We definitely recommend this tour and the tour agency for tours in Tyrol!
Marin is very knowledgeable and can give various insights to the culture and background. Learn a lot from him. An amazing guide.
Our guide definitely spent lots of hours studying the history of Bavaria - we heard lots of interesting things, even those which can’t be found on Google. We were given very helpful tips how to beat the crowd at the castle, where the BPP were, even the origin of Oktoberfest. The day was most productive and enjoyable, worth every minute and cent. Thank you very much!❤️🥂
Anna was amazing. Very kind, easy to talk to, and made us feel very comfortable. The drive was amazing and the views were worth it all! She was very informative and gave us some of the history as well. She truly made the trip worth it. Thanks again Anna for your hospitality.
The views were amazing!! Tour guide was informative and helpful and took care of us all day. He also made sure that we arrive at the castle’s gate on time. The path to the castle was an adventure in itself. The highline 179 bridge & its surroundings was a lovely experience too!!
We had a wonderful day visiting the Castle. We did not have time for another activities, because of traffic, but we got to see the castle. Our guide Marin was extremely knowledgable and made sure we were on time and prepared for the extremely precise process to get admission.
Marin was great -very flexible with our plans and so knowledgeable about the area! We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him!
My husband and I recently participated in a private tour through Anna's arrangements. Our guide, Marin, was amazing!! He arrived on time to our hotel reception area and spent the day driving us from Innsbruck to Bavaria so that we could visit the Neuschwanstein Castle. It was incredible! Marin talked with us along the drive and told us so many stories and shared details that we would not have gotten otherwise. He stayed with us every step of the way, right up until we entered the castle, so that we would not get lost. Know that one cannot just 'show up' and purchase a ticket to this castle. We saw people try to do that and they were gravely disappointed. Working through Anna and Marin, the 'ticket lady' was ready for us and there was no delay or question that we would be able to tour the castle. The information was interesting! Note that there are about 200? steps within the castle itself. As an aside, there is another castle within sight of Neuschwanstein, and my husband and I also got tickets for it. It was wonderfully authentic and rustic. The guide within the castle was excellent and allowed for questions. Marin accompanied so there was no question where to go. It allowed for a very comfortable, 'non stress', beautiful day. On the drive back to Innsbruck he shared even more information about Ludwig II to augment what we had learned. We had an excellent experience. Yes, this event costs money, but we felt we really got our money's worth! Anna's communication was helpful and reassuring. Marin was an excellent guide and we highly, highly recommend Anna for our arrangements and our guide Marin was absolutely wonderful. What a great memory!
Amazing castle. The views from the top of the castle were super. The Hwy swaying bridge nearby was an adventure.
The rooms inside the Neuschwanstein Castle. Anna Tyrol explained the history of this castle before the visit
Very knowledgeable guide, looked after us all the time. Highly recommend the tour and Anna the guide
The views were absolutely amazing! The zoo, be prepares to walk and up hills. Once there well worth the journey. Had a fabulous time. Definitely recommend this.
We enjoyed our trip to Neuschwanstein Castle very much. Due to an issue with traffic, we thought we may have missed our pre-booked window to visit the castle. Our guide and driver. Marin, pulled out all the stops to make the visit happen for us. We’re very glad we decided to book this tour instead of doing it ourselves. Quite a process to see both castles within the specified timeframe. Lots of walking and stairs but worth it. Thank you again Marin for saving the day!
These castle visits are a must if your in the vicinity! Marin provided an amazing private tour and lead us exactly where we needed to be! He knows the history and will share as much as you want! Great tour
The castle itself is amazing but the location is the truly astounding part. We kept commenting on how it looked too perfect, almost fake. But it was indeed real. A castle with views of the mountains and a mountain gorge with pool, but also a lake and beautiful, rolling, green farmlands. It was beyond stunning. It was truly a fabulous experience. We also chose to see the smaller Hohenschwangau castle and that was also lovely with breathtaking views. We are a family of 6 with 4 kids aged 3-18. The 3 year old loved neuschwanstein though she mostly wanted to go into non-permitted rooms. And she was starting to lose it at Hohenschwangau. But the 8yo was interested, the 16 yo was bored, and the 18yo is the one who picked this excursion. Lots of walking. We skipped the carriage ride because of the long lines and took the bus uphill to newschwanstein. At the stop, we went to the bridge and took beautiful photos. Then we walked down the hill (got a donut-thing which was amazing) and then walked up the hill to hohenschwangau and back down. My feet were pretty bad by the end. But, it was worth it and we had the drive home to rest so all was well. Our guide, Marin, was very friendly and we had some great and informative talks with him about history and local culture and current topics. Really, it was great. I absolutely would recommend this. But be prepared to do lots of uphill and downhill walking, lol
Anna was a wonderful tour guide - I can't recommend it enough. We got to see some amazing things and she was very knowledgeable and pre-empted most of the questions we had!
Anna took the time to provide perspective and background of what I was seeing. She tailored my trip to what I wanted most. Very good guide. Highly knowledgeable with good perspectives to share and discuss.
Anna was an incredible guide. She is very knowledgeable and a delight to be around. Highly recommend this experience.
First of all, a very big thank you to Anna for organising this trip despite late notice and busy schedule. We really appreciate that. The trip to Neuschwanstein starts straight after leaving Innsbruck as the road there goes through beautiful Alpine scenery as you cross the boarded to Germany. The destination is way more than just the castle itself - actually it's two castles - it's also a Bavarian village, beautiful forest surroundings and a lake with the Swans. Anna provided us with all the details and history that surrounds the area. We were taken to all the best spots to ensure we can truly experience the Neuschwanstein Castle with all its perks. We've also been offered to go on the longest suspension bridge....but we passed this time. To summarise, if in Innsbruck, well worth devoting one that to get out of the city and visit Germany and experience the amazing place that the Neuschwanstein Castle truly is.
An absolutely amazing day. Anna was a great tour guide and made my parents and I feel very comfortable! She was very knowledgeable about Austria and has made me want to go back and experience more!
Our guide Anna was super energetic as well as knowledgeable of the geography and history of the area. Highy recommend!
We had a great day visiting the castle. Our guide was really knowledgeable and the castle is spectacular. The tours are very well organised and it was great to have someone take care of everything. The walk up to the castle was also really enjoyable
Wow! What a great trip! We had such an amazing time. Our guide Marin was so friendly and so knowledgeable about the history of Austria. Great customer service too! I definitely recommend this tour.
We had an amazing day with our guide, Marin, on this private, all-day tour to Neuschwanstein castle. The drive was beautiful and not time wasted as Marin has a profound depth of knowledge about the history. He felt like one of the family the entire day and helped us make the most of it. The only way to make the alps and history and scenery any better is by letting Marin show you the way!
Hello to all, this was a wonderful day spent with our guide Anna. She is very attentive and super helpful to your goals for the day. A private VIP tour true and true. Went with our 1 year old and my wife who is 3 months pregnant. Anna even helped pushed our stroller and pulling us up the mountain to make sure we made our tour times. What a wonderful experience from a wonderful guide. Dress for the weather! Cheers from Panama, Central America
