Nice tour if you have a full free day in Puerto Iguazu. Very organized and professional. Long drive, though.

Itinerary
Enjoy a guided tour which explores the history of this area. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jesuit mission was built by the Spanish Conquistadors in the 17th century. The ruins were discovered in 1897 and restored between 1940 and 1948. Learn about the construction, life, and customs of the Guarani aborigines and the Jesuit occupiers of the region.
Visit the mines of precious stones in the city of Wanda. The mines are a series of caves where you can enter to see the raw gems within. Discover the miners’ hands-on approach to ensuring that full geodes are kept as whole as possible. See multiple types of precious stones such as amethyst, milky quartz, clear quartz, amongst others.

It was quite a long tour, but the ruins were interesting; the guides were excellent, and we stopped off at a herbal shop called Flor de Jardín.
Fabulous trip to Minas de Wanda and Ruinas de San Ignacio. Ivan was a great driver, on time and as a grand finale we visited a yerbatera coop , Flor de Jardin ! Delicious meal at a local restaurant and back to everybody’s hotel on time. Thank you. I loved it!
Amazing experience. I was told it was impossible to do it all in one day but this tour shows you everything. The boat ride will get you soaked as they put you under waterfalls. The photography is unbelievable. The guides were extremely helpful especially with my limited spanish. They walked me up to the ticket counters and helped me buy my tickets. Explained everything to me and made sure I was included as I was the only English speaker.
The bus driver and guide at the ruins spoke only spanish even though I requested english. Viator needs to ensure the guides and drivers can accommodate. The return from the ruins took 4 hours. The mines were fun and the guide was multi-lingual. I recommend eoarating the two toyrs to separate days/events.
I am convinced that this advertisement is fraudulent, and I feel deliberately misled. After completing my booking, I was informed that my reservation had been rescheduled to a date two days later than the one I originally booked—a date that is not available to me. I made multiple attempts to contact the advertiser to address this issue, including emails and messages to the two phone numbers provided. I received no response whatsoever. This complete lack of communication strongly reinforces my belief that the advertisement is fake and that the service is not legitimate.
We really enjoyed the tour! It is a lot of driving, so be ready for a road trip. The driver took up to each stop and dropped us off and we paid for tours at each of the stops. It was all in Spanish, so if you don’t speak Spanish it might be tricky. The ruins were super impressive.
The tour itself was great. However driver do not know English at all. Could not tell us when to meet and how long the wait is. The tour guide in Wanda Mines was very good and so did the one in Ignacio Ruins. They spoke English and explained the tours very well. All in all the tour is good just of the driver even do not know English, he should have some English Notice prepared for a simple introduction where, how and when the meet.
Wanda is an amazing place, close to Iguazú. San Ignacio is way far. The worst preserved Jesuit complexes in Argentina and Brazil. Nothing of interest to be seen.
Disappointed about not having English speaking guide. One in Wanda mines- very basic english. Nobody speaking english in San Ignacio ruins. The day was awfully long, the jerba mate not necessary at the end of long day. The tour should be split in two separate days. Left home at 7amand came back at 8pm 14 long hours. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Very deceptive about english speaking guide, even though it was requested.
Disaster. There is no guide, it is just a driver. They transfer you from bus to bus and you arrive back at 10 at night, but the time they give you in Wanda is minimal; the restaurant where they take you to eat as the only option is also terrible. It is not worth it; it is exhausting, bad, and has unqualified staff.
I do NOT recommend hiring transfers or excursions with Nordic. We booked an excursion to San Ignacio without being informed that it involved almost 5 hours of travel (round trip) for just 1 hour of visit. The vehicle was travelling with an engine failure alarm and ended up being thrown on the road by an oil leak. We were stranded for more than 3.5 hours, 10 people, without effective assistance. The rescue van that finally arrived also had the oil engine witness turned on in YELLOW (as seen in the attached photo). It was still 2 hours away We arrived at the hotel at 12:00 in the morning. No apologies, no call to ask how we were doing, from the company. The lack of information, maintenance and seriousness was complete. Be very careful before hiring! Driver Angel and Christian, very professional, the Shamara guide very professional and all with exquisite treatment. A big p for the staff and a 2 for the company.
Very long from Iguazu, but worth it. They are the best preserved missions you see the gemstone mines along the way
Spectacular! Excursions, guides know a lot, places to eat and buy things are a luxury. And chauffeur Angel the best of all! Super responsible and attentive! On schedule everything and without problems!
One of the wonders of the world, no doubt. Even though they are ruins, one can have an idea of how society worked at the time of the Jesuit Missions. History is not always in favor of good things. It was a cultural and physical massacre the end of such a beautiful and prosperous work as the Jesuits.
I want to make a claim. Service was terribly bad. And I felt scammed x that there was no guide, the mic that got stranded on the route
The experience was spectacular. I liked the crystal mine and also to see and know the history of the ruins. The experience was amazing. Mario is professional, friendly and a good driver and gave us the information about the activity clearly and with respect. I definitely recommend it. Thank you.
Both places are incredible, everything you learn and visit, the guides and the transfer to the places are very good, also with advice and suggestions from the agency guides. Highly recommended to do these excursions that are worth it
We had the excursion on 12/20/2023, the micro bus arrived 30 minutes late at the stipulated arrival time, at first everything was great, we went in the direction of the Wanda mines, where the hiker treated us kindly and was Well, regarding this complaint it is towards the driver, when we got back on the mini bus, we headed towards San Ignacio where he drove aggressively, without any need since we were in good time, the reason for this style of driving. Driving was not very good, upon arrival in San Ignacio we stopped directly in front of a food establishment and the same waiter from the restaurant opened the door for us, like cornered chickens they made us sit down. We paid for a transfer and coordination for our guides, not a mere unnecessary inclusion to a food establishment, the same driver sat down and, like others, ate, clearly after eating a steak, he got up without having to pay. I now understood exactly why he drove so aggressively, so he could get to that free steak that was waiting for him. By arriving at the site earlier there is no other option than to wait for the scheduled entry time, that time was 1:30 p.m. and we arrived at 12:10 p.m. Attached I leave you photos of other companies parked in front, they even take advantage of the same situation, for a mere free meal…. The mini bus we came with is parked behind the premises. The issue of reckless driving is extremely serious since during the journey from Iguazú to the mines and other visiting points signs of animals are shown, with large slopes the driver put the minibus in neutral in order to pick up more speed than allowed, remember that the vehicle is limited! Pay attention to the fact that there were occasions when it exceeded 135km/h. To add to all this, the collection was easy and simple but they should clarify the amount of obsolete taxes since the payment of pesos is penalized... from 26,000 pesos to 40,000 pesos when the invoice arrives. Apart from that, we had no choice but to laugh because, at the end of the ruins, the driver parked in front of a souvenir shop to earn some commission, obviously speaking of ignorance. To say that the mines were great and the mission ruins in San Ignacio incredible. But hey, I wouldn't recommend this company at all.
Incredible historical monument but the attention at the entrance was very lax, they did not give us any indication and we visited everything alone without anyone explaining to us, it is still worth thinking about.
It gave me a little uncertainty not to receive contact until the day before, but after that it was all barbaric. The truth is that the trip by combi (which I was worried about comfort) became super enjoyable, they fulfilled everything and we passed a weed.
Excellent excursion! We were picked up by mic at the hostel where we were staying, and we went first to the mines in Wanda. The place is beautiful, although there is not much to do. Then we head for the ruins. The ruins are beautiful and the guide of the ruins was phenomenal explaining the history behind them. Also, the tour guide was phenomenal! A genius with all the data he provided and very friendly. It adds too much to the experience. It was an experience I would repeat, without hesitation, with you!
Remember that the price is only for the transfer, from Iguazu to Minas are 30 minutes and then to the ruins are 3hs more journey. Excludes tickets, $500 a mine and $550 San Ignacio. At no time do they speak to you, they don’t explain anything to you, even passing through interesting places like the dam, zero words, they put music on you and if the sun is on your face for 3hs don’t expect a curtain. By the way, you eat all the smoke on the road because they open the vent and don't put the air in traffic. They only want to sell you stones in Wanda (walk 100 meters and in the city they will offer everything at 1/4 the price), a lunch in San Ignacio (walk and there are many places to eat if they are hungry, even inside the ruins) and then they want to sell you 1 more hour in the plantations. Zero ripples all the time and it's not worth wasting a whole day in these places.
It should be clarified that they do only transport, they are not Tours (every place they take you, you have to buy admission and they do not have guides outside transport). We hire from Despegar.com to go to the Falls on the Brazilian side and Minas de Wanda/ Ruins of San Ignacio. The one of the Falls on the Brazilian side, inside the park were only 1.5hs and we were in total from when we were searched in the hotel until we returned 6hs. The one of the Mines and Ruins, had a total of 13hs, since the Ruins are approximately 250km from Puerto Iguazu. Both on the way and back, the driver was going at a much higher speed than allowed (between 110 and 130km/h), we know this because we were in the first seats and we saw the speedometer! I was going crazy passing trucks and cars, it was really scary!!! On the way back, I could see it tired and I was taking a Red Bull, a danger that I drive like this!!! For that journey you should put 2 drivers and take turns.
Yes! I would like to come back and be able to watch the night show!! It is a long excursion but it was worth it!!
Excellent place, the guide, you can not miss it. It's always nice to know a part of our history
We enjoyed the Wanda Mines and the whole history of the Ruins of San Ignacio. It's definitely to come back
I found the excursion excellent great the guides on each tour. I would add Coffee Service into the mic as the destination is far away.
The good excursion, beautiful place mines of wanda and ruins of saint ignacio. But we had booked a date and I was asked to change it due to lack of quotas we had no problem with that but on the day of the excursion we are going to look in a combi that we were tight like sardines and terrible heat the air conditioning low . When we arrived at the entrance we had no guides and the group was separated until we got together and passed to the last nobody told us what we had to do. And to top it off, the same people who are at the entrance stole the wallet from a tourist from Ecuador and delayed the trip by almost an hour and a half because one of our group had to leave as a witness. We had to arrive at the hotel at 8 pm and ended up arriving at 2130 pm because we were never told in the summary of the excursion that we were being made to stop to go to a weed garden. So you can not give a good opinion of the Enterprise .very disappointed with this transfer of this excursion.
Everything was very nice, and always looking forward to us being in comfort and having the best time at all times.
The Enterprise fulfilled its Service, excellent deal in the mines of wanda.Arriving at St. Ignatius rain, when entering the ruins of St. Ignatius, they made us walk in the rain without any explanation. The guide of the ruins, could have given us some information of what we were going to see in the museum in front of the model.Really a pity.Passengers from all over the country eager to know a little of our history..and that our local guides prove us that way...
The excursion consists of making transfers to the places to visit. They are very punctual and pass x the main hotels in the city to pick up passengers. Initially you visit the Wanda Mines briefly (approximately 2 hours). Admission to the Mining Company is not included. Then the journey to San Ignacio begins. Before arriving there is a pre-lunch stop at a suggested dining restaurant. In my case I had "Don Valentin" in San Ignacio (the cost of lunch is not included in the excursion). The visit to the Ruins of San Ignacio is the most beautiful part of the excursion. Admission is paid separately and includes the explanation with a local guide who describes the mission in a very detailed and entertaining way, willing to answer all questions. It is certainly the time that makes a long journey from Iguazu worthwhile. During the return, there is a short stop at the Yerbatera Jardin America Cooperative to buy some local products. The mics are very clean and in good condition. The journey from Iguazu is somewhat long and it becomes late at night. However, if you are not going to get off to San Ignacio at another time, it is a good option to visit the Jesuit Mission.
Excellent we made the excursion to wanda mines and ruins of San Ignacio and the next day to Cataratas we want to highlight the Service of Adrian (guide) and Walter (chauffeur) always very attentive and very good vibe.
I booked the tour through the Take Off platform because the price was convenient compared to other offers that were on the Internet, and not knowing any Enterprise decided to make the excursion with them. Really a very good experience. They contacted me two days before the tour to schedule the number for any queries. The day before they sent me a message informing me what time they would pick us up at the hotel. Martin was the driver and arrived very punctual. That day it was very rainy and we still toured the Wanda Mines with the explanations of the guide Sebastian who was extremely clear and friendly. We continue on our way to the Ruins of San Ignacio. Since it was about lunchtime we had some time for lunch. Martin recommended us a dining room that we were served fast, very rich and good price. Then we made the visit to the Ruins with the guide Enrique who was also very explanatory and attentive. Since there was time and although I was away from the excursion Martin took us to know the Yerbatera Jardin de América Cooperative. The whole excursion was an amazing experience. Highly recommended!!!
Acceptable transfer, agreed timetables, more than that, that in destination there were guides, they could put one for the trip, it seemed like a line bus, the rest conformed.
Driver Ruben and guide Emanuel were certainly a plus in the excursion. We had a rainy and cold day and yet we had an amazing time. The two had the best vibe at all times, they gave us a lot of information, and even on the way back we stopped at the weed bowl that opened to make the small excursion that had interested us because of what we had been told. Everything super good, back and forth, on the ride. Same with Laura, the coordinator, 10 points with everything as she advised me on several things and even contacted me. Highly recommended!
I used Nordic’s services to make the very long excursion to Ruins of San Ignacio and Wanda mines from Iguazu. Service is transfer only, so it is advisable to rent a car as the guides are local. He added that on the return they dared to decide that we should go to a barren, unguided cooperative, prolonging the trip by more than 1 hour, and causing me to lose my dinner reservation on my birthday. To top it off, by expressing my displeasure, the bug increased the speed along the way putting us all in danger. THEY'RE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I DON'T RECOMMEND THEM.
