We walked in and were able to sit down with a guide within 15 minutes. Lucky us! Virginia shared the history and culture of mate with Argentina pride 😊. We learned a lot and got to try our first proper mate. Great experience!
Our party of six English-speakers had a day off from the Falls and wished to experience some culture. We also were curious about the dedication behind all the mug and thermos toting folks we saw during our week plus adventure in beautiful Argentina so we found the Yerba Mate Club. We stopped in the shop which is easily located in the Centro area and were informed by the shop they had a 2pm experience for English speakers. We came back and were seated in a back room and were giving a spectacular and thorough tour of the Yerba mate plant and its use. The guide of this experience, Gianela (pardon for any misspelling), was caring and excited about helping us understand Yerba mate. She apologized for not being great at English however she was great and patient as we asked questions and used Google Translate to clarify. Such a cool experience and a warm and caring person! We learned a lot, got to practice some of the mate culture by trying each other’s Yerba types and bought supplies there. I would highly recommend this store, and specifically Gianela, for an experience you will value if you are interested in Yerba mate and this unique culture piece. Cheers!

She was very detailed in offering the history and instructions on how to prepare this drink that was a bit of a mystery before we took the class; we were so grateful to have this opportunity offers by the Yerba Mate Club, thanks!

Our host showed us how to make and appreciate the experience of sharing yerba matte with others. His personal warmth during his demonstration added to our understanding of the many aspects of yerba matte.

After walking in, the employee started to explain mate in details. I chose organic mate with medium flavor. She showed me how to prepare mate one step by step. Finally I sipped the mate as the picture shown here. How yummy. I’m loving it. It worths visiting and trying mate you like. Enjoy.
We really enjoyed our experience here. Pamela demonstrated how to prepare mate and provided a lot of great information about it. She even gave the presentation in English for us. If you have never tried mate, this is a great place to do so and learn more about how it's made. She was great, and the demonstration was inexpensive.
This was a great experience we wanted to try matte and this is the place to do it. The young woman who served us spoke English and explained how it is done and that she started when she was 11 drinking the matte . It was a fun experience and atmosphere and you even get a souvenir when you leave Thank you The two Canadians 😊
We took the "My first mate" experience, which was really nice The experience includes a short explanation about the mate source and how they make the yerba (which is the mate herb that you put in the cups) Then they explained how to make the mate drink properly in the cup In the end, we got the bombilla (the mate straw) as a gift It costs 6000 pesos and for me it was worth the money

Unreal place, best place to try Yerba mate in Puerto iguazu. Excellent staff, explained (in English) the process behind yerba and how it’s best enjoyed. Also served us with two light bites that the locals like to enjoy their Yerba with & way cheaper than expected given the service

On Teacher's Day weekend we went with my family to do the mate tasting. It was spectacular!!! The best part was the service and the explanation from Virginia (super sweet and kind) and from Isaac (super clear and attentive). Honestly, we felt very comfortable, we learned a lot about a wonderful ritual, and we ate delicious food!! And at a very friendly price, too. Highly recommended for learning, having a good time, and buying yerba. The place is also very warm
Honestly, a really nice find in Puerto Iguazú. We went in the afternoon after walking all day through the park and it was great for us to slow down. They have a huge variety of organic and artisanal yerba brands that you don't usually see at the supermarket, plus the store is super neat. They served us perfectly, explaining the flavor profile of each yerba and how to prepare it well. I ended up buying a couple of packages to give as gifts and take home. If you are into mate or want to try something different from the area, it is totally worth stopping by.

100% recommended. It allows you to get to know the different varieties of Misiones yerba mate. The price/quality is excellent. In addition, you can try regional breakfasts/snacks (we ate the best chipá and Mbeju here!!).

A very nice experience and attention. In this place, we learned how to properly prepare our mate, what types of herbs exist, and the culture behind it. You can clear up any doubts you have about this. I highly recommend it, especially if you are a foreigner who knows nothing about this mate culture and wants to learn. I recommend taking the workshop before buying your herbs and mate supplies, so you can choose appropriately according to your tastes later on.

Spectacular experiences tasting 6 herbs, free water, and we ate yerba mate alfajores. I recommend it 100%; do not leave Puerto Iguazú without experiencing this tasting of flavors!!!

The truth is that it was a very well-cared-for and pleasant experience; all the details were attended to, they explained everything to us, there were four of us, and we each tried a different yerba, the prices were very accessible, highly recommended, they should promote it more! We will return!

The best MATE experience! I advise you to go to this charming little place where you will be explained the history of the mate and where you can taste a traditional MATE! In the experiment you can choose between 3 types of MATE. I recommend you to go with your eyes closed! The seller is very welcoming and warm, listening to you 🫶🏼
A really good idea! You can't just get mate in Argentina at the restaurant. Here you can test many different varieties and prepare them yourself. And that together with Messi! :D
