This is an interesting tour that more people should probably take. First of all, Nilsa Witt is a wonderful guide, very friendly and helpful. The pickup and drop off at our hotel was smooth and easy. As some reviews point out, it does take a little while to get into Paraguay but there are interesting things to see there when you do. Itaipu Dam is an engineering marvel, though it’s presented as propaganda and glosses over how they destroyed the magnificent Guiara Falls to build it. But you do get to take the tour (Spanish only) and drive on top of it. Better is the Salto Monday waterfall. Not as impressive as Iguazu, but it is still beautiful and you can take an elevator to the bottom and really get close. An experience most tourists are missing, for sure! The San Lucas Church is also a quick stop, but cute and unique, and we also got a chance to try terare at a road side stall. The Paraguay side of the 3 Frontiers is small, but you get a really nice view. This tour does take you to a tourist trap-type restaurant with a so-so buffet, but you get to an enjoy a really nice view of the river while eating and it helps you skip the major traffic and return to Brazil much faster. Overall, yes there are some things that could be smoothed out for the tour (you need to discuss in advance if you want to stop for shopping, as that is not part of it), but I think that if you’re already in the area and only doing Brazil and Argentina, why not also visit Paraguay? It’s RIGHT THERE, people! And this is a lovely way to spend your day doing it safely and efficiently and still get back in time for a soak in the pool or a night out for dinner.

An experience that is different than Iguazu falls :). Had a nice day in Paraguay :) got to see the three borders, Itaipu binational dam, Monday falls very close up, and more!
Nilsa provided a first class service before and during the tour. She was informative and well organised, making sure we got the maximum from each stop on the tour. Highly recommended.
We had a great time with our tour guide, Nilza. Despite a rainy day, we saw all the sights, Nilza walked in the rain with us! She was a great driver in the rain, drove us all over and got us back to our hotel safely. I would definitely recommend this tour and Nilza as the guide.
Had such an incredible day!! Our guide was so knowledgable about Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina! She went above and beyond - went out of her way to take us to a firehouse when she discovered one of the group is a fireman. Not only this, but after we told her we were going to the Argentinian side of the falls the following day, she offered us plenty of tips and advice for there as well. Could not recommend this tour enough. All the stops were just the right amount of time. Even though we’d already been to Iguassu Falls, Saltos Monday is also a must!! The hydroelectric dam was also so interesting - our guide explained as much as she could before we went in as most of the internal tour was in Spanish. The final stop at the point where Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina meet is also an absolute must. Excellent tour. Great day and even better guide!
Brilliant experience, the tour guide even took me to a local fire station as I’m a firefighter couldn’t recommend this tour enough AMAZING 🙌🏼😀
Excellent tour, told us lots of information about the various locations and included an extra location on the day for one of the friends. Tour guide was really friendly too.
Paraguay experience is really good you can see the third dam most important of the world a beautiful waterfalls and 3 borders with 2 rivers
Great way to see Paraguay in a safe way seeing several highlights. Guided were kind and helpful and even found a place to stop for a vegan treat once back in Brazil!
It was an excellent experience. Nilsa and her were wonderful. They explained everything and made sure the group enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend them.
Nilsa and her brother were great. Our family enjoyed this day trip. They were informative and attentive to our group. Great day..
Nilsa and her brother were excellent tour guides. I highly recommend them for your visit. We had a great experience. We had a very nice day.
My family had a great time visiting Paraguay . Our tour guide Nilsa and her brother the driver were excellent . We had a great experience.
Communication was great. Nilsa was very friendly and very helpful! A great guide! We travelled from Ciudad del Este and met the tour group at Itaipu dam. Our uber to get there was reimbursed by the tour, a very nice accommodation :-)
Our tour took us to amazing malls, and to the point where three countries meet. It was great to experience Paraguay and see such an amazing landmark. Excellent service, our guide stayed with us all throughout, and the border crossings were so easy.
This tour is listed at 5 hours, and in reality it was almost 8.5 hours. We spent so much time trying to get across the border to Paraguay and then back again to Brazil. Although the tour of the dam was an interesting sight, the entire tour was in Spanish, and most of it I could not understand. That was unfortunate. We then saw the waterfall, which was anticlimactic after seeing the ones in Brazil. We also saw the point where the three countries meet-just ok! Finally, we-stopped at a mall for lunch, and then heading back across the border. Most of the time was spent riding in the van.
Our guide was fantastic. Her vehicle was clean, spacious, and comfortable, ensuring a pleasant ride throughout the day. And she used to be a teacher, and her passion for sharing knowledge made the tour truly engaging. 我们的导游很棒。她的车干净整洁,她之前是一位老师,全程给我们图文介绍巴拉圭。这是一次很棒的旅行。谢谢!
Very nice tour, perfect for first time visitors to Paraguay. The guide is so nice and knowledgeable, highly recommended!
We had freedom to choose our own departure time and move at a pace that suited both adults and children. Nilsa provided everything we needed throughout the day, and the schedule was perfectly tailored for families. We managed to see all the major attractions in the area in just one day, without feeling rushed. She also had a great selection of informative books in the van and gave us plenty of helpful recommendations for places to eat and visit during our stay. At one point, we faced heavy traffic while crossing the Friendship Bridge, which took almost two hours. We truly appreciated Nilsa’s patience and effort in navigating us through the long and challenging drive—it made a big difference to have someone so experienced and calm behind the wheel. It was truly a memorable experience, and I would say it’s one of the best one day tour to Paraguay.
Maycon was an excellent guide! His English was easy to understand, knowledgeable about the area, and very kind. He took our party of 3 on a private tour of the Itapu dam, Salto Monday falls, and the 3 borders monument (Paraguay side). He offered to take us shopping as well, but we were tired so we declined. Would definitely recommend
The tour was fantastic from start to finish. Nilsa our guide had a book with maps that she had made to explain the relationship of the three countries to each other. Her knowledge of the area was excellent. Since I am a retired firefighter, while we were in Paraguay she stop at a fire station to allow me to meet local firefighters and see their station and rigs.
What a great experience! Or guide Maycon was very knowledgeable and kind. The sites we went to were definitely with it. We were allowed all the time we needed to enjoy them. Recommended for sure!
Amazing day in Paraguay! We visited the Itaipu Dam, Saltos Monday Falls, and the three borders viewing on the Paraguayan side! Our guide Nilsa was the best! She was extremely knowledgeable, flexible, and kind! She navigated the treacherous driving in Paraguay like a total pro! She took us to a great place on the river for lunch and dropped us off at a nice area for shopping in Foz do Iguazu as we were not interested in shopping at the mall in Paraguay! Very enjoyable day! Request Nilsa if you can!
Our original intent was to just check off Paraguay, since we were in the area, but our guides, Nilsa and her daughter Leticia, made a great day of it. The highlights were the Itaipú Dam (really impressive), the Monday Waterfalls (much less crowded than Iguazu), the 3 Frontiers point from Paraguay, and a really nice lunch at a restaurant on the river's edge (across from Argentina). They were knowledgeable and flexible. Nilsa always had tricks to get us across the border quickly (since we had to cross borders four times that day). We even had time to see the humming bird garden in Puerto Iguazu before dropping us off at the airport. Thank you
Nilza and Leticia are very professional and friendly people. They answered all our questions about the history of all the places we visited. We liked that they speak English and Spanish and everyone felt very comfortable. I recommend that you do all the tours with them, both on the Brazilian side and in Paraguay and Argentina. They were very nice to take us on a helicopter ride that we decided to do at the last minute. I highly recommend them!!!
This trip exceeded my expectations! I’d highly recommend this trip, we experienced way more of Paraguay than I thought; Monday Falls, The Itaipu Dam, The Paris Shopping Mall, we tried local food and saw the point where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay me. My friend and I had an amazing time thanks to our guides Nilsa and her daughter. They were both incredible. I’d rate them more than 5 stars if I could and they really made sure we had an amazing and memorable experience. They were both super friendly, enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable about both Brazil and Paraguay and I could not recommend them enough. They have been some of the best guides I’ve EVER had. I’d 100% recommend booking onto this tour, you won’t regret it.
We had an amazing time in Paraguay with Nilsa and Leticia! Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam was really impressive, but the highlight was Saltos Monday falls. There were no other tourists when we were there (unlike Iguazu!) and they were so much more powerful than I had imagined. We also went to the mall in Cuidad del Este, which was interesting even though I don’t love shopping, and had lunch at a traditional Paraguayan bakery. This was not included but it was extremely good value for money. The guides were so kind and friendly and I felt especially safe knowing how many years of experience Nilsa has. Thank you so much for a wonderful day!
Adriano was great guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and very kind. The Saltos Monday falls were great. The Itaipu dam as well. The local Paraguayan restaurant Mi Abuela was fantastic. Best empanadas I’ve ever had. Despite the rainy weather, we had a great time and our guide helped with that.
Absolutely superb. Even during weather that was less that optimal the tour was still spectacular. The guide was welcoming and knowledgeable about all the sights we saw.
Our tour was fantastic!! She was very personable & her English was excellent!! She made the most of our time in Paraguay!
Absolutely brilliant day. Our guide andriano made it but ...he is the best. Falls are small in Paraguay but we wanted to say we've been to Paraguay and see them...so different once you cross the border. We didn't go shopping because we weren't interested apparently that's why most people go to Paraguay. So andriano shocked that we've never seen the Brazilian side of the falls took us...what a guy.. his knowledge about everything made the day .calm driver too at he crazy Paraguay border..what an experience!!!!!
The tour to Paraguay was fantastic. The Saltos Monday were breathtaking and great to visit, because we were nearly alone there. Absolutely worth the visit even after seeing the Cataratas from both sides. With Adriano we had the best guide, we could have had imagined. He took us everywhere we wanted, took care of us, was very friendly, warm-hearted, funny and knowledgeable! We had lots of interesting conversations and just a good time. He taught us a lot about similarities and differences of the three countries and the people living there. Plus he has amazing driving skills much needed in Ciudad del Este. We leave we the feeling of having a good impression of Tres fronteras! Highly recommended! Thank you so much!

Best attentive tour of this trip. She worked her agenda and yet, allowed us to add stops. Best that she focuses on familes.
Nilsa is a guide with 18 years experience and has just learned English in the last year! She has great communication in English. Not everyone chooses to go to Paraguay, but if you truly want to understand the history of Iguazu Falls, you should go on this tour. See the 3 rivers converge , and the world's largest hydroelectric dam from Paraguay. Yes, you'll spend a long time waiting to get across the border as the bridge narrows, but Nilsa keeps it interesting. You'll understand that most people cross to shop! The extremes of rich and poor are clear to see. We didn't care to tourist shop, so Nilsa accommodated our request to stop at a supermarket to get some things for our hotel! An amazing person leading a worthwhile tour!
Great tour for anybody doing a day trip to Paraguay from Foz do Iguaçu. The itenerary was excellent and I think covers just about every attraction across the border. Nelsa was a wonderful tour guide who was very helpful and took care that everything went smoothly as well as accomadating with itenerary changes.
We had a great Paraguay day tour with Nilsa. We got to see a few churches, Saltos Monday, Tres Fronteras, and the shopping area. It was the perfect mix of all.
Absolutely a must! Miles and her daughter,Leticia, made the tour. They were a wealth of information on life in Paraguay, not just facts, but daily life, Paraguay’s challenges I was not into shopping but found the craziness of so many shoppers loading up with goods fascinating. I asked to limit our shopping time, but if I had wished they were willing to let me shop as much as I liked. What sets this tour apart from the other is beyond shopping. Saltos Monday Falls is seen up close with no one else there. It was just as impressive as Iguazu Falls, but smaller more intimate. Of all the guides I saw, they were the only female guides. It was like traveling with friends! Take advantage of being so close to Paraguay.
Our tour guide Nilsa was phenomenal. She was friendly, knowledgeable, considerate and willing to change the itinerary to make sure we had the very best tour possible. I was so impressed with her driving in Paraguay which is extremely difficult. We absolutely loved the Salto Monday waterfall…it was such a beautiful view and the elevator to the bottom of the falls gave us an upfront view of how powerful the water drops from the falls. The Katarmarran restaurant at the water had an amazing view with great food. It was one of our best days in Foz do Iguaçu. Thanks Nilsa!
Our guide , Nilsa, was very knowledgeable and informative on Paraguay and Brazil. She allowed us to enjoy the sites and views without rushing us. This was especially true when she took us to the Monday falls. She also gave excellent recommendations for lunch, where we enjoyed a delicious buffet and wine overlooking the Prana River. She was extremely helpful during the shopping portion of the tour. Her driving skills in Paraguay were amazing.
Very good! Too beautiful waterfalls and Marco too!
Wonderful experience! The staff was super attentive and made everything happen in a quiet and organized way. I felt very well received throughout the tour, I highly recommend!
I was delighted with the proximity of three countries in this city tour in Paraguay! In addition to a great lunch in the centre of Ciudad del Este, the itinerary of the grandiose Itaipu, the falls of the Salto Monday and the Three Frontiers Framework brings a unique cultural wealth. A true Paraguay Experience that I highly recommend through this Paraguay Tour!
I was very impressed with crossing the Bridge of Friendship on this City Tour in Paraguay! In addition to stopping at a cafeteria to get to know Paraguayan food and buy chips, the scenario for the grandiose Itaipu, the falls of the Salto Monday and the Three Frontiers Mark delivers a unique cultural wealth. A true Paraguay Experience that I highly recommend through this Paraguay Tour!
It was truly a pleasant experience! The tour was practically a private tour since it was just the three of us, and the guy who guided us was really good. The itinerary included a visit to the Itaipú Dam, the Monday Falls, and the city of Ciudad del Este: the guide also took us to taste some local specialties in Paraguay and accompanied us around Ciudad del Este. He also recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch with a splendid view of the river. We left at 7 from Foz and returned around 3:30 PM. An experience we recommend if you are in Foz to see a bit of Paraguay: moreover, the waterfalls at Monday Falls are very beautiful and definitely less crowded compared to the Brazilian and Argentine sides of the Iguazú Falls!
We took the half-day tour in Paraguay, which included the Itaipú Dam, the Monday Falls, and the city of Ciudad del Este. It was essentially a private tour since it was just the three of us. The guide was excellent: he accompanied us and provided interesting explanations, and we also had the opportunity to try some local cuisine in Paraguay both mid-morning and for lunch at a restaurant with a beautiful view of the river, which he recommended. It was a true pleasure, and we recommend this experience to anyone who finds themselves in Foz and wants to visit the Paraguayan side as well. Moreover, the Monday Falls are truly fascinating and much less crowded compared to the Brazilian and Argentine sides of the falls.
Most of them come to the area for the Iguazu Falls, we had booked another day and wanted to experience a bit of Paraguay as well. The tour was good. Border crossing was easy, short Waiting time. First we stopped at a small museum and got an insight into the history of the country. Afterwards we continued to Itaipu Dam, an impressive structure. There was a guided tour here, which unfortunately was only in Spanish, that was a bit of a shame. But the idea behind the Project was definitely understood and the small film in the Aufitorium had English subtitles. We continued to the Salto del Monday. Few visitors, beautiful waterfall. And finally to the tri-border area. The way back took some time at the border, but due to the vendors on the road it was entertaining. Communication in advance was good. I had to ask myself for the exact pick-up time, this could have gone better. And maybe you should adjust the time of the tour. Pick-up +/- 7:30 am, end of 3/4 pm. We had nothing else planned and for us that was fully OK, but you should definitely plan 8h.
Guide very kind and helpful punctual and attentive to the needs of each customer. It strives to give maximum satisfaction
The guide was fantastic, knowing how to adapt the route to the weather conditions and giving time for everything and precious indications. The Monday jumps are beautiful! Paraguay is worth more than shopping!
It was beautiful, Edenir is very nice and confident. We are very grateful that we had this unforgettable experience with Iguassulife ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
