The hotel itself is nice, I just expected more and expected for the price some of the things to be included like drinks. The rooms have barely any outlets so I charge my phone in the bathroom as there’s none near the bed or in the main room. Prices aren’t bad just didn’t expect it, I paid around 11$ for 3 drinks (cans of soda) for the same price you can eat outside in some places nearby

Overall, the resort is nice, comfortable, and clean. However, it falls short regarding food, as it is not welcoming to people with dietary restrictions. They are still stuck in the outdated concept that it is fancy to add cheese to every dish. They even add it to recipes that don't usually call for cheese, showing lack of creativity and knowledge, and unwillingness to accommodate those with intolerance or vegans. They think it's cool to add ham, bacon, chicken, and cheese to practically every dish. For ovo-lacto vegetarians and vegans, there are only a couple salads without contaminants, and vegetables are boiled without seasoning or any sauce – every day! In other words, you don't starve, but you die of boredom. Vegan tourists: choose another resort. Mabu doesn't value our investment.
We stayed for 7 days in late August so we got a good sense of how this hotel operates during shoulder season. Check in was speedy. We got wrist bands as keys which is really much nicer than a key card and you don’t lose it. We paid for half board, buffet breakfast and dinner. The food is average. It isn’t top quality, but what saves it is the variety. For example, every night the chicken and meat dishes were dry, but the soup and salad offering gave you options of higher quality. The arroz con leche was delicious. Drinks are not included so if you only drink water o suggest bring your own. Even during low season the hotel is 80% families with small children. They even offer babysitting services so this must be a haven for parents. For a couple traveling though it wasn’t as quiet and relaxing as we would hope. The pools and buffet always had kids running around. The hallways too, so sleep with white noise on. We knew this is what the hotel goes for after reading other reviews so no complaints, that’s just how it is. I got one message during my stay and it was very mediocre. Therapist’s hands were dry and technique very average. Overall though, we had a good experience. The beds were very comfortable, the food abundant, and the pools very nice. The location is excellent as it’s super close to the Argentina border so going to Iguazú on that side is easy. There is a mall right in front of the hotel, very easy to walk to, for shopping and lunch.
We arrived tonight. There was a corporate party blasting music at absurd levels until at least 10.30 at night (for who knows how long, it's still going). At a family hotel? The music is so incredibly loud, its not conceivable to sleep for adults, much less young kids. Completely unacceptable for a family hotel.
Really great hotel close to the waterfalls! The hotel + the resort is a nice combo and the rooms are quite clean! The different swimming pools are for all people, families with kids, pool bars, everything. I went there for a conference and everything was really nice! Breakfast had a lot of variety to choose and good quality. WI-FI was really slow though!
