Stayed at Amalinda Lodge for a few days in June and it was an amazing experience. The staff were excellent, attentive, and incredibly friendly and helpful. Safari drives over a few days guaranteed seeing a range of wildlife, and we were able to get closer to wild rhinos than in any other location! Food was fantastic and rooms were gorgeous and well-maintained. Would absolutely recommend this for solo travellers, couples, or families looking for a welcoming experience in Zimbabwe.
An incredibly designed lodge, gorgeous setting, delightful staff, delicious food - couldn’t have been better. Got very close to rhinos. We travelled in a family group of 10 (including kids aged 3 and 7) and it was terrific. Location was convenient to Bulawayo but drive from there to Hwange was heavily under construction / very long and bumpy. Howard, “Bones” and the whole team were knowledgeable and accommodating. Great combination of animals, history etc. Highly recommend!
I really wrote this review to shout out David who was our guide. What a star he is! Warm, smart, and most of all thoughtful! Everyone else was great too, made our stay memorable!
We went with a large group and had the entire place to ourselves! The rooms were so unique and special that we spent time going on room tours with each other just to see the variety! Food was also delicious and the Pool was incredible!
Luxury, outdoors and relaxation all in one! Great service and spectacular views. So much attention to detail and a good sense of home away from home. I simply must visit again. The aesthetics are unmatched, very natural and calming. Lots of green and animals roaming free. Breath-taking swimming pool, best to visit when it’s not raining/cold to get the best experience.
