The pre-set map was helpful and we tried to hit every stop. I wouldn’t recommend every stop, we felt like we had to rush to enjoy and then move on. Longest stretch on the bike was ~30 minutes. Definitely bring a jacket for later in the evening. Sunset at the end was a must!

Itinerary
The Spanish Fort overlooks Hvar Town and provides wide views over the harbor and surrounding islands. Upon arrival, you can park the buggy nearby and explore the fort at your own pace. Visitors can walk along the historic walls and learn more about its important defensive role in protecting the town.
Malo Grablje is an abandoned stone village located a short drive from Hvar Town. Once a small farming settlement, it was gradually deserted in the 20th century as residents moved closer to the coast. Today, its empty stone houses and narrow paths create a quiet and atmospheric setting, offering a glimpse into Hvar’s rural past. It is a unique stop for walking, exploring, and taking photos away from the busy seaside areas.
Zaraće is a small village located about 7 km from Hvar Town on the island’s southern cliffs. Below the village are two pebble coves; Velo Zaraće to the right and Malo Zaraće to the left, separated by only a few hundred meters. Surrounded by steep rocky cliffs and clear blue sea, these beaches offer a more natural and dramatic setting than most beaches near town.
About 9 km east of Hvar Town, along the southern coast, lies the beautiful cove of Dubovica. Above the pebble beach stands a historic stone house that resembles a small seaside castle, giving the cove its distinctive character. The buggy is parked along the main road above, followed by a walk of less than 10 minutes down to the beach. Proper shoes are recommended, as the path is uneven.
Tvrdalj Castle was the summer residence of the Croatian poet Petar Hektorović (1487–1572). In the 16th century, when Hvar faced attacks from the Ottoman Empire, Hektorović fortified his home so it could serve as a refuge for local residents. Today, visitors can explore this historic complex and see how a Renaissance noble combined poetry, architecture and defense in one unique residence.
Duboković Winery is a small, family-owned winery located near Jelsa, known for producing high-quality wines from native Dalmatian grape varieties. With a strong focus on tradition and limited production, the winery offers a more intimate and authentic tasting experience compared to larger commercial producers. Visitors can learn about local winemaking methods, explore the cellar, and enjoy carefully crafted wines that reflect the character of Hvar’s climate and soil.
Brusje is a small traditional village located in the hills above Hvar Town, known for its lavender fields, olive groves and stone houses. Surrounded by dry-stone walls and open countryside, the village offers a peaceful atmosphere and wide views over the island’s northern coast. It is one of the oldest settlements on Hvar and provides insight into the island’s rural life and agricultural traditions.
Fort Napoleon rises above Hvar Town and offers one of the best panoramic views on the island. From the viewpoint, you can see the town’s red rooftops, the Pakleni Islands and the open Adriatic Sea. Park the buggy below the fortress, walk a few meters to the viewpoint and take your time enjoying the scenery and taking photos, especially at sunset.

Fantastic day out with loads of things to do and visit. Booking in was simple with good instructions from Real Hvar. Tagged a visit to the fortress on the end to save the walk up from Hvar. Thoroughly recommend this. Roads aren’t busy and quad biking on them was comfortable all the way round.
Best way to see the island! The GPS guide they give you makes it so easy to see all the highlights. We felt very safe driving on the Hvar roads. The scenic drive portion is stunning.
That was very friendly and the equipment was in great shape. The app for the phone with the map was very helpful
The ATVs are a good way to see the island. Their map is easy to follow and gives you interesting places to stop. You travel at your own speed without a restricted time schedule.
Hands down one of my favorite ways to see all of the best stops recommended by the locals. It was so nice to make each stop at our own pace and amend the itinerary as we liked.
Loved renting from this company. The self-guided tour is amazing, and the brothers were delightful. Best trip idea ever!
The shop owners were great. We were a group of 4, so we rented 2 quads. Our quads and helmets were basically brand new and in great condition. The guys reviewed for us how to operate them, and provided a map that we could put onto our phones. Our quad even had a USB for charging. Based on their map, you could do this tour in about 3 hours, or 6, and they were super flexible about either returning before closing time (6:30 PM) or even the following morning, if we used them longer. Based on their map, we spent about 5 hours touring, and saw so many beautiful and unique spots--an abandoned village, (fun to explore), great beaches, had lunch in Stari Grad, and saw the Hvar equivalent of "Little Venice"-absolutely beautiful! We would visit and rent from this team again! We highly recommend.
Great decision to take a day and explore Hvar. Skip the stock group stuff and venture out on your own - you won’t be sorry.
Amazing way to see the island. Make sure you stop at Geco restaurant for lunch and the beach and Stari Grad. The stop at Brusje and the views from Fort Napolean are not to be missed! Thanks for a grest day.
What an experience! Such a fantastic way to explore the island at your own pace. The guys provided such a detailed map of a suggested route, which was very handy and we saw some of the most amazing beaches that we wouldn’t have without this transport. Highly recommend Real Hvar!!
The best experience by far! Spend the 120euros total - worth it! Christian, the owner, is a very caring business owner and provides excellent instructions & tips on how to enjoy your day. He created a Google map with all the highlighted stops - you simply use the QR Code, and the interactive map pops up! Be sure to stop at the "Family Farm" in Brusje to have dinner - you will sit in a quaint open air bistro over loading the sra and the village- the food is authentic and it it a very special experience! Also- be sure to take your time going through the abandoned village with the olive oil press - incredible! I would do this experience again in a heartbeat! Thank you Christian ... from The Ball Family, Canafa.
The staff were very helpful and shared a recommended route for a few beaches and other towns. We had an issue with our quad, and the staff were easy to contact and came to our location to replace the quad. Excellent service and experience.
Just be prepared to put a deposit down on the quad bikes, you’ll get it back providing you looked after the bikes at the end. Absolutely loved the experience, the map was well thought out and wish we’d given ourselves the whole day to explore Hvar.
This was a fun and relaxed way to see the Island. Ante and his colleagues were really professional, friendly and helpful . Would absolutely recommend to others visiting!
Excellent service and ATV in perfect condition. We had some problems following the itinerary on the phone and lost a little time resetting everything… old age probably! As an fyi, petrol is on top of the hire cost which we didn’t realise but didn’t amount too much (~20 € for 90 kms). A great way to discover the island and enjoy beautiful scenery. We loved it.
Great experience! Quads were of high quality and safe and the itinerary provided by the agency was great and easy to follow! We thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend!
The quad was a very stable safe way for 2 people to travel together on the roads in Hvar to see more of the island. We were on our own time schedule which we enjoy much more than a tour.
We hired 3 quadbikes during our short visit in Hvar. They provided us with an itinerary to follow a route and see nice places around the island. Unfortunately, they did not have motor bike to hire at that time. The prices are a bit higher than expected. The quads we hired worked perfectly. Their office is situated round the corner from the main square, next to church. No deals were accepted from the person in the office.
It's a great way to see the entire island and you can stop when you want and spend as much or as little time as you like at any given place.
The tour is great but don’t book through viator. I paid £165 on viator but when I got to the pick up point I found I could have paid 120 euros for the same product. I don’t mind paying a fee but this margin is ridiculous. How they can justify this margin is beyond me. Cannot fault the tour itself as it was great.
This was a great way to easily access the beautiful views and beachs of Hvar. The staff provided a good points-of-interest route to get to know the island and have an adventure I won't forget.
everyone was very kind and made sure we knew what route to take/safety checks etc. a very unique experience. haven't personally ever had the chance to drive ATV's on public roads let alone be self guided. the old hvar road was my favorite part of the drive. lots of great stops, seeing stari grad was my wife's favorite
We had the best day driving around the island! The agency gave a recommended route with Google map stops already set up so we could easily navigate over the island, even had parking places included on the stops. The recommendations were amazing, we loved every place we visited! Also had food recommendations too which we went and had a great lunch at. Roads were good to drive on, the old road on the way back had really beautiful views. Great experience, was a favourite of our trip, definitely would recommend :)
A fun way to explore the island. Provided with a map and suggestions on where to go. At one point we got lost and someone picked up the phone right away and helped us. Lots to see!
Highly recommended! The crew were friendly and helpful, and we saw some really amazing sites. Highlights included the lavender fields (even if they were out-of-season) and the abandoned village. Just remember to stay off the foot break!
This was an incredible experience! To be honest, we had very bad weather and it rained a lot but we still had one of the best times on our trip exploring the island on the quad. The staff was awesome and friendly, and they have a great pre planned route of what you should do. I highly recommend you do this. We will for sure be back
Absolutely loved exploring Hvar with my wife on a beautiful sunny day. Everywhere we stopped we had a drink or snack and couldn't have asked for a better time.
Perfect way to explore the island. Kristijan gave us great tips regarding places to see. Truly amazing. Highly recommend them.
From start to finish, a brilliant and friendly experience that was worth every penny spent. Kristijan was the manager / he let us postpone trip by a day because my partner was ill. He was very friendly The route is easily maneagable and takes you to swim spots, abandoned village, restaurant recommendations for lunch, details of where to park etc. The quad was also good quality. We would definitely recommend this
A great way to explore Hvar! The check-in process is seamless and you’re setup for success. Once you have the four wheeler, the island is your oyster. Would definitely recommend this experience for couples or individuals that want to see all that Hvar offers.
The staff of Real Hvar starting with Kristian was spot on. Service with a smile and as agreed upon terms made for a great experience. As an industry veteran i appreciate teams like Real Hvar. And my wife was happy with the Rabbit to Dubocovic Winery for tastings.
Great company! Highly recommend! Provided a modified route to fit our tight schedule and great food recommendations. Beautiful views along scenic route and amazing gelato experience!
Outstanding way to tour the island. We left from Hvar on a google tour route to see fantastic beaches, Stari Grad (one of oldest cities in Europe), 2 small towns, a sandy beach and a winery. Awesome views along the entire route. We were out 10am-7pm. Highly recommend
My husband and I rented 2 ATVs with our 22 year old daughter. We spent the entire day riding our ATVs all over the island of Hvar. This was by far our favorite day of the trip. We rode through winding roads, up mountains, down to the beach, through fields of lavender, groves of olive trees, and grape vineyards. This was truly one of the coolest experiences I’ve had! It was so exhilarating to ride the ATVs around the island - we got to see and do so much. We got our ATVs at 11 am and rode until 7 pm - didn’t want to stop. We followed all of the suggestions they gave us of places to stop/things to do— including where to stop for lunch - and everything was perfect. The ATVs were easy to drive and the seat is so comfortable. We felt safe going everywhere. The views are NOT TO BE BELIEVED. Cannot recommend this highly enough. I will be sending anyone i know who is visiting Croatia to Real Hvar to rent ATVs.
We only had a day to explore the island and boy did we get a taster. They guys at the rental place were amazing the bikes were nice and new and the tips on places tailored to our time was spot on. The old road up to the napoleon fort was spot on as to the views can’t recommend these guys enough
Wow - my husband and I rented a quad after hearing all of the great reviews and it was the best way to see all of the most amazing spots in Hvar! We rented one quad that fits two people - which I highly recommend, especially if one person is not quite as ambitious in driving a quad on an open state highway with cars along shore cliffs (I was more than happy to have my husband drive while I navigated ). That said, there weren’t that many cars that we actually encountered. The 5 stop route suggested by the company was perfect and allowed us to see so so so many amazing towns and beaches. Just do it and follow their recommended route! We loved Jelspa and Stari grad!
Such a fun way to see the island. We visited beautiful beaches and several towns. We wished we had a full day to do it (we had to catch the ferry). Renting a car for the day was also an option but we loved the Quad for the open air and sense of adventure.
This was the best day of our trip to Hvar! Ante was so helpful ajd offered amazing recommendations feom where to stop for lunch to where to go for the best views. I would do this again and recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hvar.
Great way to see Hvar! Very easy to get the Quads and to return them. Ask about the winery recommendation. We went to a place that had NO signs anywhere to indicate what it was. What a gem!
The rental location was easy to find, and provided free parking in Hvar, a city packed with tourist cars and fewer parking spaces. The owner, Kristijian, instructed us on ATV usage and safety, and provided a brochure and map on possible routes. He described the different sites to visit, and what we might find interesting to do or see. For us ATV newbies, it easily maneuvered rough and paved terrain, navigating up and down very steep hills, some with scree or rocky. We enjoyed visiting the different sites, and especially that we were not driving our car rental on the roughest roads.
Absolute best part of our trip. From start to finish, the owner took amazing care. Very responsive, and the map suggestions were perfect for a day on the island. Highly recommend. Also - the price is for 2 people, on 1 quad and you get it for the entire day so the value is great.
Christian and his team were beyond incredible, they made sure we were safe. They gave great directions
Amazing experience and perfect way to see the island. The owners and staff were so helpful with giving us places to go around the island and helpful tips based on timing & weather of the day. HIGHLY recommend.
We hired 2 quad bikes 1 for my wife and myself and 1 for my son for a day. Reasonably priced compared to the UK. We took Ante's advice and roughly followed his itinery along the south coast taking in the different beaches that Ante had marked on the map. There were some real gems, our favourite being Beach Malo Zarace (see picture). Then we rode across to Stari Grad for lunch then back to Hvar via the old road over the mountains to the Napolean Fortress. The views on the way back and from the Fort were breath taking. We had a fantastic day and what a fun way to see the Island. Thank you Ante for all your advice. We will be back.
Staff were friendly, gave us a detailed route to follow and top tips of where to go in Hvar. They were flexible; specifically as we knew we wouldn’t get the quad back by 7pm, and allowed they us to bring it back by 8am the next day at no extra fee. The quad was comfortable, new and felt sturdy and safe. A great experience and exciting way to explore Hvar Island.
Real Hvar is an excellent place to rent and atv from. The owner was very responsive to any questions when I was booking this. They provided a list of places to visit and patiently explained how to operate the atv. Conveniently located in Hvar near the ferry. Great way to explore the island on an exhilarating ride!
10/10 recommend to get to know Hvar. The island is so much bigger than I thought, and it was great to explore other towns and beaches on our own time. The staff is very helpful in creating a route and recommending places to visit, as well as teaching and explaining how the vehicle works. You can even get the quad overnight if you’d like, which seems like a great option for people that want to stay a night in a town other than Hvar beach. Great sights and activities along the way, and you can explore lesser known and crowded parts of the island.
The best day of our holiday! Unfortunately it was our last day on the island and I wish we had booked the ATV before as there’s so much to see and it was so much fun seeing it this way. 2 minutes out of Hvar and the roads are virtually empty. Ante gave us a fantastic itinerary suggestion and I would recommend going to all the places he suggests. A fabulous, fun and safe way to see this beautiful island x
This experience was great, the people were lovely and gave recommendations which we followed and had an amazing day, visited 6 or 7 places and went to different viewpoints and got probably the best view on the island for sunset. Couldn’t recommend spending a day to do this more, this allows you to see everywhere you’d like on the island. It’s easy to find and very simple, we hired a quad, and met others who had hired bikes or quads throughout the day and really enjoyed ourselves Thankyou!
