This was a great family experience. The quad bikes were fun and the jeep safari through the desert was exciting. The camel ride was a fav with all of us. The bedouin bbq was tasty with a good selection of food. The stargazing was incredible, I have never seen so many stars. A really special day out. Be careful of additional costs. The quads needed scarfs and goggles. These were 4 and 3 euros respectively. The transfer was an additional 5 euros each from makadi and to get the photos from the professional photographer was another 30 euros.

Jonah was great at driving the jeep. He made it wild and bumpy with good music. Arabi was a great guide at the beduoin tribe where we saw how they made bread, crops grown, herbal medicine. Had a fab view for the sunset then we saw stars and planets both through telescope and by eye. He is so so knowledgeable on the stars. Dinner was okay but not for everyone. Do take bug spray if going. Oh and we had short camel ride with fab photos
This was an amazing experience! Great experience for the value! Miso was the best tour guide! He was so knowledgeable about the star gazing aspect and made it fun and interesting! Make sure you bring something warm as the desert gets very cold at night. The food was unexpectedly good and they had professional photographers to document your time there.
We went for a stargazing experience but it started off with being thrown around in a jeep crossing the desert for a hour with overly loud music constantly playing. The drive wasn’t enjoyable at all. When we arrived at the village we had a 3-4 minute camel ride and then climb up a rocky mound to watch the sunset. We were shown into a tent to see a lady making flat bread and advised we could tip her. We then went into a tent where they had traditional medicines for us to purchase. We had a very nice diner at the camp but were then advised we could tip the people who lived in the camp. We watched the moon but didn’t see many starts in the sky at all to be honest. We set off back across the desert on a one hour drive again and were advised we could tip the driver. People need to realise that tourists aren’t walking ATM’s. Overall the diner was nice but the rest of the trip was not what we’d imagined it would be.
It started out with good expectations, the ATV ride was enjoyable and the staff pleasant after which we were transferred to the desert camp for the camel ride and stargazing this is where it became a bit unraveled the English speaking guide was not present and we were left to the German speaking guide to escort us and we found it impossible to take things in not speaking German, the saving grace was the arrival if late of the English guide who was very knowledgeable. I would have given 5 Stars if all had gone smoothly.
Would highly recommend , jeep safari across the dessert ,followed by dinner with the Bedouins then learn about stargazing and the opportunity to see the moon and Saturn through large telescopes
Excellent chance to get away from light pollution and see something other than pavement. Educational and enjoyable. Take plenty of extra water and then some more with you (we went in August). Our "guide to the stars" (Adam) was amazing, highly recommended if you want to see the desert stars.
We had an amazing time on this trip! Riding through the desert in a jeep to a Bedouin village was so much fun. After a steep walk up a hill, we got to watch the beautiful sunset going down over the mountains. The best part was later in the evening—stargazing. The night sky was incredible, and Adam, our host, made it even better with his deep knowledge of the stars. He was super friendly and made the experience special. Karim, our driver, was fantastic, too. He drove with great skill and was really friendly too. Thank you to both of you for giving us a great experience. This trip was a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and fun. I highly recommend it!
Nice to visit, but the irresponsible driving behavior of the driver is not acceptable. He drove as if he had to win a stage of a race. He even ignored a number of warnings during the ride. Only after a conversation with the responsible guide, upon arrival at the destination, did he adjust his driving behavior (also in the vehicle were the two photographers, who did the necessary translation without result). With normal driving behavior the score would have been worth 5 stars.
We had 18month old with us and luckily took car seat and wedged it on floor,ok but trip is quite bumpy so be prepared.. Toilets on site were amazingly modern and clean. Did get pestered a bit too much to buy pics and video of trip even though 4 of us had taken loads on our phones. Overall good trip with amazing views .
Very nice experience! Everything well organised and the guides have been very polite. A suggestion: let make a longer ride with the camel if it possible
The night was amazing! Although overcast, we couldn't see many stars. Abraham was our Astrologer, he was very knowledgeable about the night sky and the Bedoine people. The trip started with a pick-up in a Jeep from our hotel. Then we drove across the desert quite fast, with lots of bumps for quite a long time (50 mins or so) until we reached the mountains and a Bedouin village. At sunset, we walked up one of the hills to have an amazing view of the landscape, then had a chance to try some bedoine bread and have a look at their items for sale. Once the sun was set we took some photos of the moon, and saw Jupiter, Venus and Saturn through the provided telescopes. A basic dinner of roasted vegetables, rice and Chicken was quite tasty along with a fun little party/ entertainment before we said our goodbyes and jumped back in the Jeeps for another exhilarating journey through the desert, this time in the dark. Overall a brilliant trip, definitely something I'll remember always. It's a shame it was the only cloudy day/night of our week-long trip and that was the one night we couldn't see the stars, but still, a great time was had by both me and my husband.
The Beduin village was very interesting, wonderful people and so skilled at weaving, making bread and entertaining. Thank you for letting us in
Didnt really rate this trip. I feel like it’s more of a mock up set. There was like one building, and three camels.. they said they live simply and get around on camels but the man had a van and a motorbike up the back of the little house. The camels were exhausted and getting pulled around by there noses and honestly my heart just broke a bit.. we gave them water, and they were so dehydrated.. I would have preferred to know this was just a mock set up if I’m honest.. maybe that’s on me for not researching better, but this is 100% a tourist trap.. but I still felt it was a cool educational point to see how boudin people do live to a point. However this just felt fake and considering they live in tribes it just felt like a bit of a lie all the info they were giving us that they lived there everyday when they clearly didn’t… it was just one family just carting three camels around.. You do a two minute camel ride, then all get in a huge line to see the moon through a telescope and have a little buffet tea which is potatoes and rice and chicken.. the highlight for us was the drive to it, our driver was an absolute scream and I think that made the trip for us not feel like a total rip off.. he had us laughing from the minute we got in the truck. Our guide was also lovely and informative. When we also paid, the man tried to take double money off me for the National park entrance, and that put a dampener on it.. like its not a lot but it’s just the fact that at every turn in our time in Egypt I have felt like I have had to be more vigilant than anywhere else about people trying to rob us out our money. So that may be another thing you want to be vigilant about when booking this trip.
The jeep was very packed with people, overloaded. My husband and I had to sit in the front passenger seat which was not for two people. There was no air conditioning in the jeep so it was very warm even with the windows down. The driver was very careful. We arrived at the camp which was extremely basic. The family provided us with a welcome tea and they were lovely people. We got some amazing photos of the sunset. We saw the moon through a scope which was amazing and the guide took a video for us. We did not see any stars on the scope as we had no time, there were too many people and only one scope. The guide explained the constitutions of the stars which was very interesting. The toilet was extremely basic, no flush and no where to wash your hands. The barbeque food was adequate and tasty. Make sure you take hand wipes and toilet paper and plenty of water.
Probably the highlight of our trip to Hurghada! Amazing from beginning to end especially the engagement with the Bedouin locals and children. The meal was divine. The driver drove extremely fast, which made my kids and I feel unsafe, which was the only detractor.
We had a lovely afternoon. The pick up was very prompt from our hotel and we were taken to the bedouin camp where we were given insight into the bedouin way of life. Then we had a very quick camel ride before climbing up the hill to watch the sunset. There was a photographer with us the whole who provided his photos for a very reasonable fee. The view of the sunset was stunning and then we were provided dinner while we waited for the stars to come out. Moussa was very knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for sharing his love of the night sky.
Experience an adventure into the magical Egypt desert. Climb a rocky hill to watch the impressive sunset, visit a Bedouin settlement to partake in a hot refreshing tea, have an encounter with a family of camels which you can ride and enjoy a BBQ dinner. When it becomes dark enjoy the stargazing with Mohammad Araby, a polyglot, a poet, a personality and an astronomer. Listen to him identify and explain the wonders of the sky at night - the stars, the planets, the constellations and their linkage to ancient mythologies.
Overall we really enjoyed this trip. One or two little niggles that could have been avoided with a lot better communication. We were expecting a jeep transfer, however it is now a minibus transfer, no issue if we’d known in advance, as it was a little disappointing. Also be aware the sunset view at the top of the dunes is accessed by fairly strenuous walk up a rough track, again no issue if it is made clear beforehand but you will need proper footwear, walking boots/sandals as parts are quite steep, very rocky in places and uneven. That’s the niggles out of the way! It didn’t detract from our enjoyment in the end, we were a family group of five from 9-57 and all enjoyed it equally from the tea in the tent to the fabulous music/singing, lovely food and atmosphere. The astronomy guide was so knowledgeable and so passionate, the stargazing phenomenal- total bucket list experience. There was an initial talk with him using a laser pen to point out all the different stars/constellations and then the opportunity to use the two telescopes to view Jupiter and the nebula of Orion. Amazing - though in honesty the real “stars” of the show were twinkling in their thousands over our heads - mind blowing in their number and beauty. I hope I will always be able to see that sky twinkling in my memories when I close my eyes. Thank you
It took an hour and a half for quite a short drive including pickups from el Gouna. The walk sunset and Bedouin hospitality were good. Nasser was an excellent guide on the astronomy. The location was not remote enough for a really good night sky, el Gouna lights were visible The telescope was ok but not impressive. Excellent value for money at £30 however
Excellent experience star glazing, beautiful sunset over the canyon & great songs around the fire camp. Would do it again
We had a fantastic evening in the desert with Mousa and his colleagues. Mouse is very knowledgeable and explained a lot about the Bedouins and astronomy on the journey to the desert. The sunset was stunning and the food was delicious, Mousa even sang a few traditional songs for us which was fun! The star grazing was interesting and I loved the personal touches Mousa added!
I just happened to stumble upon the pictures of this trip and then I remembered that I hadn't even left "my stars" here yet. That's what I do with this. My only criticism: The long wait and gathering of all the companions at the meeting point at the edge/entrance to the desert. In my opinion, this could be timed a little better. Nevertheless, it was a good day and I remember that we could even see moons of the Jupiter - stargazing in the desert is really breathtaking! Greetings to Adabi and thanks, Ali, for the pictures!
An authentic taste of the land. Connecting with people who want to keep their ancient traditions alive, the image that captured the visit for me was the Bedouin child sitting on her own halfway up the ridge at sunset. The star gazing was so clear and the professional astronomer very good at pointing out the different stars and planets with the laser beam. Excellent telescopes, could see the stripe on Jupiter.
Finally we found our lovely experience in hurghada watching the stars from hurghada desert. Our guide super guide mousa lovely an helpful.recommended
What a wonderful evening. We really enjoyed tea, camel ride, sunset and the beautiful night sky. The guide was very knowledgeable. My daughter, who is 12, learned a lot and found it very memorable. She even said why couldn't our science lessons be taught like this. I wish too.
I want to Thanks our guide muhammed. He did great job. Knowlegable and very helpful Super Day. Highly recommend
Wonderful Day, Highly recommend Our guide mohamed mosa and our driver Ahmed were very helpful. Thanks a lot.
Our guide muhammed mosa was very attentive and More knowlegable He was very helpful Recommend to All
Am Amr is the world's best driver. We had so much fun together🤣🤣🤣The whole tour was magic🤗🤩💫Heartfelt thanks to really everyone. Especially also to my star guide who spoke German very well. Burga Doll
Everything is perfect. The support, the equipment, the location, and the atmosphere. The photographer is excellent. We highly recommend his photos.
Very relaxed trip to the Beautiful Desert 🏜️ I brought my telescope Seestar S50 from Switzerland and took great pictures
We were on 18.1.26 to stargaze in the desert. The trip was very nice. Our guide Arabi was very nice and asked regularly if we understood everything, or have questions. You can tell that he himself had a lot of fun and knows his way around. Jeep ride into the desert was wild! It goes over sand and dunes, the driver has started a party playlist, the whole thing has felt like a roller coaster ride at the fair :D We always had enough time for Pippi breaks or photos (with sunset and camel) The food was delicious and the stargazing fascinating. It was a really nice day:)
Two options are available with or without quad. To do again we would not do the quad. 30 minutes in a large plot to make a loop including 10 minutes of photo breaks sold at the end of the shoot 20 dollars. We had our glasses and scarves but big forcing us to buy theirs 11 dollars for 2 for two squares of fabrics and a pair of glasses to return at the end of the turn. We resisted the second pair. Finally our personal equipment would have been more than enough. Finally we are invited not to forget the tip. For us no interest. On the other hand the subsequent visit deserves the exit. Nasser a passionate young guide has a well-honed organization no waste of time and fascinating astronomy explanations. A barbecue meal and some explanations about Bedouin life. This part raises the grade without problem and saved our day!
A great experience for the whole family! Especially our guide Ibrahim made the experience perfect through his knowledge.
It was amazing and exciting! Recommendation to everyone, it was a unique experience. The jeep trip was very fun, the driver was great. The astronomer was very prepared and ready to answer all questions, dinner simple and good! Highly recommended, one of the best experiences ever! Only flaw the Guide did not speak in Italian
To get to the desert, we were treated to a real Jeep safari, like a rollercoaster, it was really great! Arriving there, we were briefed by our guide Arabi, who recently learned French but is doing very well. We met a family from the Bedouin tribe, who showed us their way of making bread. We also had the opportunity to take a short camel ride. We climbed a very large rock to gain height, observe the sunset and take magnificent photos. After a small meal carefully prepared by the Bedouins, we were able to observe the stars and constellations. Climbing the big rock can be difficult, but absolutely not impossible. The organization and the team, nothing to complain about.
We were picked up from the hotel in a jeep. The trip to the Bedouin village was super fun. We drove off-road and were rocked by the jeep. The Bedouin village was beautiful and frightening at the same time. It was great to get an insight into how these people live. However, I was unsure whether it was all really real. The photographers are totally pushy and ignore it when the children don't want to be photographed. The camels there were kicked if they didn't do what the people there wanted. The geese were cornered and caught by the photographers, a small pony was held for pictures while another person had to hold its mother. After we were shown around, we went up a mountain, where we watched the beautiful sunset. Afterwards we had something to eat and drove home. On the way home, we saw the camels being whipped again.
