Laila is an amazing tour guide, she's so friendly, energetic, patient, genuinely kind, and very knowledgeable. The excursion itself is a must-see: photos of the archaeological sites truly don't do it justice, it's something that has to be experienced in real life. Around lunchtime, we went to a cute restaurant called Crocodile in Luxor - the food was great, tasty, and served buffet style so catered to all needs and tastes. Overall I would totally recommend this excursion and ask for Laila if you're thinking about taking it - it's well worth the money as well as the early morning wake up!

Leila (our guide) was lovely, friendly, she was very good with the kids, she kept us well hydrated throughout the day. Slight hiccup at pickup in the morning apart from that, all was good. The Nile River cruise was £10pp (£50 for family of 5). Food was good, Leila made sure my boys got their chips/fries. Definitely worth visiting Luxor.
Fantastic day. It is long but so worth it. Leila our guide was amazing, her knowledge was second to none and her love for egyptian history really enhanced the tour. We didnt feel rush and felt so safe. Leila did everything she could to make sure we enjoyed the sites and the tour, she even bought us ice creams for the nile boat ride. The resturant was lovely, even my fussy 8 year old enjoyed it! Highly recommend this tour and Leila, you wont be disappointed!
An excellent day for us as a family. Laila was a very informative, friendly and energetic guide. Her English was excellent and she was very kind and patient throughout. It was a bonus to have ice cream and a boat trip on the Nile.
The best guide - Layah, highly reccomend. Very friendly and easy to understand.
Laila our guide was just fabulous. A Luxor local, she was passionate, informative and witty. She went over and above to make sure we were all catered for. We must commend her excellent English. Easy to understand. I would highly recommend these small group trips if you want to have a fantastic day and make new friends.
Rapid paced day due to distance and checkpoints. Great knowledge from guide, very direct and assertive.
Laila was very helpful and knowledgeable on the Luxor culture. She was very accommodating on when we tired or needed to rest as it was hot.. Indeed would book with her again for an excursion and you need to
Wonderful trip from the start. All aspects of the tour were wonderful. Great information in English. A fabulous day 💜
Great tour seeing ancient Egypt up close, it's so beautiful and incredible to see how much has been preserved today Layla was also a great tour guide and we loved her help and expertise
Layla was amazing, information sand english great! And the sites were great.
good guide, beautiful views but not on time i booked 5am,they picked up me at 3:10
VERY HOT!!! Take plenty of water and sunscreen. But absolutely breathtaking! Highly recommend visiting.
An amazing experience top of my to do list. Our guide was exceptional her knowledge was second to none. I would strongly recommend.
Pick up was good and on top at 3.30am. We had others to pick up and tour started at 4am as we booked. Drop off was good at 8.30pm. Mini Bus was good. Some seats have obstruction at foot so if a full van then it will be problem. Group size was 12 but some people cancelled so would have been larger. Drivers/ Driving was good. We had a few stops, some were a bit long and could be shorter. Guide Laila was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Pointed out toilets and where to meet up. Some places there was alot of noise so couldn't hear her. The Nile boat trip was an add on, we couldn't go on due to medical reasons but there was quite alot of persuasion to go on from guide despite this. Seemed annoyed that didn't go on with some cheeky comments afterwards. We drove to the other side of Nile to meet up with group. The trip to Valley of the King's was good. Becareful of the golf carts they start moving even though we had not sat down, dangerous. We visited the tombs included. If chose additional Tombs can visit those. We didnt have long to spend each tomb so was rushed. The trip to Karnak was good, got taken around by guide. We got to decide how long own time to explore but it still wasn't enough as the place is large. We explored the temple half with guide and half without. We had enough time there. The restaurant was in a residential gully we had to walk up to get there. We didnt try the food but there was variety. I did wonder why this tour operator had so many reviews compared to others. There was a push to submit a review on the tour there and then and push to give a good review with higher score. The trip to the alabastor shop was a souvenir shop. Took about 40 mins of the trip.
For those who want to visit the best of Luxor, mainly its archaeological sites, this is the tour for you. Ms Laila knows a lot about the topic and the place and the transport is great (and A/C'd, very important!!)
The guide Lila was very good and knowledgeable about Egyptian history.
Very good my wife has mobility issues but manged most of this trip she had been wanting to do this trip since she was a little girl the guide was good but some of the places were a bit difficult but having said that we had a very good day and would recommend it
If you are mainly looking forward to seeing The Valley Of The Kings, your better option could be taking a rental car as this bus day trip is spread widely on multiple sections/sights and therefore quite hectic. It also takes a lot of time just to gather every participant together. I was picked up at 3am and only two couples/families came along after me and that took almost 2 hours. Right after that before getting onto highway, we stopped somewhere in an industrial area with many trucks and other travel agency cars. That hit me as an inspection, and when one gentleman asked what was going on, the answer was just 'that is a colony' which didn't really clarify at all what was happening. Our 2 drivers were more interested in their own business rather than taking care of customer service. Finally in Luxor at the temple of Karnak, we met our English speaking guide. Highly nowledgeable lady, named Laila perhaps, but she basically rushed through the site, spoke very silent, and seemed quite angry even as an elderly couple couldn't keep up with her speed. Huge masses of people and no audio device given it was almost for the birds. Lunch at Crocodile Restaurant is ok, but don't get your hopes too high. In the Valley Of The Kings, we weren't not given the amount of time what's written in the description, but much less. Therefore, if you book this tour solely for the Valley, you might get disappointed. My advise for the tour operator would be cutting off the nile trip and this pretty boring stone carving show at the end and to give people more time to explore the Karnak temple and the Valley Of The Kings.
We've always wanted to visit the valley of the kings and as we were in Egypt, we booked up to go. Despite the long coach trip to get there (which we slept though) we were not disappointed. The Karnak temple is astounding and vast - we couldn't get round it all. We were also VERY impressed with our guide when he read hieroglyphics as if he was reading a menu in a restaurant: Other groups stopped to listen to him. There are numerous stops on this trip allowing you to witness and learn about the history that the area has to offer. The highlight was of course the valley of the kings and this was simply breathtaking. Our ticket entitled us for three tombs (we paid extra to also go into king Tut's tomb also). The artwork inside the tombs is stunning and the colours are still as vibrant as when they were first painted. Hatshepsut's temple was also fabulous and an incredible feat of engineering - I'd doubt that the engineers of today would be able to do something similar.
This was a great experience! Our guide Laila was amazing, and very knowledgeable! She went through all the right/important information that was needed took us to special areas. And seemingly she’s well-known around each temple with each of the locals so she is able to give you an experience that is true and authentic. This was a daddy daughter trip so she made us feel very welcomed, appreciated, and she was very attentive to us and our needs. She told us what to avoid, and what’s the lookout for when the pushy sellers come around. And one thing that stood out to me was that she felt very familiar. meaning she felt like family, so it was easy getting to know a little bit about her background and it just felt very comfortable to be around her. I will say, depending on where your hotel is pick up can be very early like maybe 330. Even though I was a little annoyed. It still makes sense on why they pick you up that early being that you have a 4 Hour drive to Luxor and a 4 Hour drive. back.
Great experience from start to finish the guide was very knowledgeable. Thank you for the great day out.
We visited Luxor yesterday. Our lovely guide, Laila, took us to see all the sights in a pleasant, friendly, and memorable way. We highly recommend it
Our tour guidd Laila was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Despite having read mixed reviews me and my husband decided to still book because of the good reviews outweighing the bad ones. And we are most happy with our trip. We were picked up at 3:30 in the night, the drivers were on time and polite. The pick up being so early is to arrive around 7 o clock in order to escape the peak burning sun in Luxor which we appreciate as otherwise it will be too hot. The sights are magnificent as you take a look at the remnants of ancient Egypt and learn more about their way of thinking. We had enough time to see what we wanted. I recommend wear a good closed shoe, bring a hat, and wear loose linen or cotton clothes! Cold water was also free and included in the trip as well as an ice cream at the end of the trip which our guide Laila bought for us. The nile river trip was nice and worth the 20 euros for 2 person. A great moment to get some shade from the sun and see the views from the riverbanks. The Alabaster factory was interesting to see altough we did not buy anything and were also not pressured to buy anythinf as other reviews stated. Furthermore there was enough bathroom breaks yes for some you must pay 20 egyptian pounda but this has been the case with many other bathrooms we noticed. And coming from holland this is nothing new to us, it is common to have to pay for public restroom during the lunch included the bathroom was free. We will remember our guide Laila and all her knowledge. The trip is worth it if you are a history lover just be well prepared for the sun and expect a lot of walking.
The experience was great. From the pick up, the core of it all and the drop off. The guide was really informative. Very friendly and interactive with her explanation. We had Laila, very sweet, kind and attentive guide. Price wise was great, the time of the explanation and for your own time for picture was perfectly balanced. The group was small enough for everybody can get the attention they deserve. Once again, I would love to recommend Laila!!!
Well organised tour with timely pickup and travelling. The minibus was comfortable and the drivers careful. The guide was funny and knowledgeable and the sites speak for themselves. Recommended.
Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish great communication and good care also water in the mini van throughout the day.
The trip to Luxor was fantastic. I highly recommend this minivan tour, as everything is easier in a smaller group. The drivers were extremely friendly, and everything went according to plan.
Very good guide. Long (15 hours) in small van. Was forced to take trip on nile. Also pressured to visit alabaster factory and pressurised into buying something. Overall good trip.would advise to take plenty of water.
I got to spend a wonderful day yesterday with the adorable Aladdin in Luxor. We were a small group and he even explained everything to me in German. Thank you so much for that! The proposed boat trip across the Nile with a great fresh fruit buffet was just one of the highlights. I can take the tour to the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Temple of Karnak etc with Aladdin only recommend it. it was very informative and his knowledge of the hieroglyphics absolutely impressive.
I recommend this tour. Our guide Aladdin was so knowledgeable.. he studied 7 years for that.. which is truly remarkable!! I did my tour with my 4- year old daughter. Congrats and keep up the good work, Aladdin!
Aladdin made our visit to Luxor an unforgettable experience. Professional, attentive, and available to answer every one of our questions. Perfectly bilingual in English and German, he led the group with great patience and teaching skills. Highly recommended! Rating: 5 stars ⭐️. We will come back to Luxor, promise! Thank you for everything
Trip itself = amazing, loved the temple Time in tombs too short, conned with toilets, boat and "factory" - recommend read all below... At the time it all seemed great, other than having to pay for every single toilet break - on a 16 hour day with kids, that's a lot - picked up on time, drivers friendly. Met tour guide Liala at first stop - Temple, the temple was stunning. Liala was very informative and very friendly, appeared enthusiastic. She did put a lot of effort into talking with us, showing us things and lots of history. The tombs were also great, the Nile cruise had nice views, the lunch was lovely, the drive home was fine - back in hotel for 8.30pm (itinerary says 10pm). However... The time in the actual main attractions were very rushed - shown around temple with Liala, then only 20 minutes free time to explore a large site and view. Tombs - only allowed 7 minutes per tomb, which for a disabled person with slow mobility meant a "quick peep" at something she'd been waiting to see her entire life and paid £2k to go there to do it (whole trip not just this), (and only allowed to look in 3 tombs out of many) not great. My mum was also encouraged to stay in the bus and not see the final attraction because of some walking and told not much to see - which was true about the walking, however it was definitely something to see, quite special and we suspect she just couldn't be bothered slowing down for my mum to join. The Nile cruise was given as optional in the description - Liala did not advise this and instead said basically "this is what we're doing it's $10 dollars each and I'll collect the money" no other choice given (a couple with us, clearly did not want to do this and weren't given a choice) - children were also full price, because we were told it was a "private tour" turns out the boat owner/driver was her son - she also pushed for us to give a tip to him for the short journey up and down the Nile (I hadn't heard her say it was her son, my mum did, otherwise I absolutely would not have gone ahead with tip - he didn't even speak to us). We were also taken to an alabasta factory, don't get me wrong it is very evident that a lot of the Egyptians work incredibly hard, with little resources, but only after being essentially tricked and fleeced into paying $40 for 2 fairly small and 2 VERY small scarab beetles - later realising they were just plaster, not alabasta, did we realise why she was telling us to "hurry past the vendors" at the actual sites and "ignore them all, just rush through" - lots of market stalls which were selling the exact same items for $1 each - she did not allow us even a minute to browse the stalls, but ushered through, preying on the fact you feel vulnerable with people approaching you (who actually were very friendly, perfectly fine and although they did do the typical "buy from me", I did not feel intimidated in the slightest, even with 2 young children) - BUT she wouldn't have got any commission if we bought from them would she... Sad to look back on now that we were so obviously done over. There were also several things that she emphasised were developed by the ancient Egyptians e.g. Chess and baby rattles amongst other things which I was initially suckered in by until there seemed to be a few too many that the Egyptians had miraculously developed, became suspicious, to look into them and find those 2 at least, not to be true (maybe she thinks they are, who knows). Whilst she was very friendly with all of us, she asked several times for a kiss on the cheek from my children - one was adamantly no, my youngest who is pretty affectionate did - I guess it was just showing the children attention and being friendly, including them, which was all nice, apart from that bit which was entirely inappropriate. We did overall enjoy the trip. The sites are unreal and definitely worth a visit, the main driver was decent and friendly, but definitely have your witts about you and not in the way that you think - not the people approaching you but the one you trust and think is doing the best for you - it's a sad thing that they seem to assume you have a lot of money and want to take it from you, when that's not necessarily the reality for us.
Went with my 11 year old daughter as a mum & daughter special trip, thought it would be educational and super memorable. We weren't disappointed!! What a fabulous day, yes its an early start, but the small group was a good idea and it all went smoothly as planned. Take lots of tip money, ask lots of questions!! Guide was good, 2 drivers for safety so they could swap, the sights were amazing and the nile cruise was defo worth it. 3 of the other tourists were frustratingly late and obnoxious throughout the trip but they handled it as well as they could. Defo recommended.
Best parts were, the wealth of information and knowledge from our Tour Guide Aladdin. Thankyou Aladdin you made it extra memorable. A tiring day but very worth it, so many experiences in one day..all so interesting wondeous.. would reccomend. BTE travel were very efficient and felt looked after. Be prepared with cash..i had none with me as our hotel cash machine was broken. Wished I could have been more generous when faced with the many stops with local people trying to sell to us. That part got intense at times, but its what they need to do. All good 😊
Great day out to fit in lots of activities in one day. It’s a long day and early start but worth it! Drivers were excellent and communication before and after via Viator app and WhatsApp was reassuring for all details. Would definitely recommend.
We had a great day. Yes it’s an early start, yes it’s hot and yes it’s tiring. Reading some of the reviews I’m not sure why some people don’t expect this? Our drivers were amazing and also tour guide very helpful. Plenty of drinks for all throughout. Enough toilets stops on route and back and most of all the itinerary was amazing. We opted to pay for Nile boat and is worth it. I think if you want to spend significant time in each place this isn’t or you as it’s an all in one day tour (also with the heat I wouldn’t want to spend a huge amount of time in each)! Overall I’d recommend this trip - we travelled from Hurghada and it’s a nice small tour.
Amazing experience, guide Leila - she’s the best and very kind.
A fantastic guided tour , very knowledgeable guide , friendly and answered our questions with ease , our drivers were brilliant , could not have asked for better .
Our guide Laila deserves 5 starts by the energy and knowledge making the visit a lot more interesting! However, I am giving only 3 stars because we were driving at least an extra > 2h in the car just to pick-up and drop-up clients in other locations that require a significant detor from the main Luxor path (track using Google maps). We in Hurghada had to be picked up at 4am and only arrived past 21h while others in our van were picked up at 6am and arrived at 19h45m! If you don't have clients enough in Hurghada to make your profits margins, just don't organize trips every day!! A car trip that could be done in 3h40m, lasted more than 5h just one way and this means that we spend > 10h total in the van!! That is unacceptable and makes the day super exhausting totally unnecessary.
A wonderful day out exploring the temples and tombs in luxor and surrounding area. A very early start with several unexpected stops meaning a 4 hour journey became 6,but after a long drive we picked up out guide and had a very imfomative day with her. The temple at karnak is a sight to see as is the valley of the kings. A day not to be missed.
Hamdy tour guide was amazing and helpful. Learned a lot , had an amazing day . The driver were also awesome
They never turned up!! All communication clear and good until the day. Then the morning of the trip waited for 40 minutes, contacted on app, sent 4 what's app, tried calling...nothing. Then 40 minutes after transfer time received a txt saying sorry, trip is tomorrow instead. We. Fly tomorrow. Unacceptable. Made an excuse that all trips cancelled for bad weather. It's now sunny no clouds. Other trips have left our hotel to luxor since waiting. Wish we'd used them instead. Even if the trip was actually cancelled for bad weather to be told 40 minutes after the trip should have left is ridiculous
Great day. Beautiful stops, guide was amazing and lunch was very very good. Would def recommend to others
It has been a really interesting day, Aladdin is a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and makes sure you see the most important places. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
We recently went on the Luxor and Valley of the Kings tour. Unfortunately our pickup was about half an hour late, which wasn’t a great start to the day. However, once the tour got underway everything improved significantly. Our guide, Laila, was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history and the sites we visited, and she explained everything in a really interesting and engaging way. Her passion for the history of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings really came through, and she made the whole experience much more enjoyable. Despite the late pickup, the tour itself was very well organised and the sites were incredible to see in person. Thanks to Laila, we learned a lot and had a great day overall. I would definitely recommend the tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Laila as your guide.
I have always wanted to go to the Valley of the kings and will say this visit definitely amazed me Such a beautiful sacred place The tour Guide Laila was absolutely brilliant and looked after us well Laila is extremely knowledgeable about Egypt and she also helped my buy some gifts for family for a good price Thank you Laila you’re amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ just for you
We had a really good day exploring what Luxor had to offer! Our guide laila was amazing and really knowledgeable! She knew everything about the area and had some great stories to tell! Would highly recommend this tour to any one thinking about taking it! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would
Had a great day! our guide Achmed was fabulous very knowledgeable and answered questions really well, it was lovely to be on a small tour with only 7 people total. Our drivers were also great (sorry can't remember their names) would definitely recommend this tour company!
We had an amazing time! We booked a day trip from Marsa Alam to Luxor, quite the long ride but absolutely worth it. Our tour guide Leyla knew everything and was very engaged in showing us her favourite murals and chambers. Recommended tour!
