Osama Mohawes is a very knowledgeable, friendly and funny guide. He taught us many things and answered so many of our questions. I’d 100% recommend this trip, but make sure you get a good sleep the day before ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wonderful day with our guide professor Ahmed Elsisi. He was very knowledgeable and a good laugh steering us thro the crowds to all the good bits. Good food in the restaurant too. Drivers careful and always there when we were ready to go. Perfect day. Highly recommended
The drivers did a really good job during this very long trip, although the communication could have been a little better at times. The journey was quite long, and twice the driver had to wait for a police escort. We only found out what was happening afterwards while we were already on the road, so a little explanation beforehand would have been helpful. The same happened when we arrived for the hot-air balloon ride. Our driver suddenly told us to get into another car, but we weren’t really sure why. They then disappeared with our bags, so for a while we had no idea whether we would get our belongings back after the balloon flight. After the flight, another van dropped us off for breakfast, and it was only once breakfast was being served that we saw our original driver again. That was also where we met our tour guide, Ahmed Elsisi, and from that moment on the experience became fantastic. Ahmed speaks excellent English, has a great sense of humour and knows an incredible amount about Egyptian history. On top of that, he basically acts as your personal professional photographer throughout the day. He knows exactly where and how to take the best pictures, so you end up with amazing memories without even having to think about it. And one little bonus tip: if you visit Medinet Habu, the temple of Ramesses III, and Ahmed starts asking you quiz questions, here are a few answers that might come in handy: - Because Europeans can understand the history of the dynasties better. - Because it is said to be the first place where the first Olympic Games were played. - Because of the way the animals look. - The stones were robbed and reused elsewhere. - Hands, tongues and... Manhood. Do those answers raise even more questions than they answer? Perfect. That is exactly why you should take the tour and let Ahmed explain the stories behind them. So, if you have a spare day and want to make the absolute most of it, book this tour. It is a long day, but absolutely worth it. We had a great time!
A brilliant experience, unfortunately due to extreme heat our balloon ride was cancelled. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took lots of pics which he sent to us. The boat trip down the Nile was fantastic and a pleasant relief from the intense heat. Please remember that you have to tip everyone, even the people at the tombs giving out cardboard to be used as fans. So if they offer to take a photo for you remember to tip. You may also have to pay to use the public toilets. Take plenty of water as it gets very very hot there. Overall a tick off my bucket list and a big recommendation to go
An excellent day at Valley of the King's. Prof Ahmed Elsisi was an excellent guide with excellent knowledge on all things Ancient Eygpt. Worth a visit but remember that it gets very very hot and if you let any of the staff at the tombs help you in any way they will expect a tip so take plenty of cash
Overall Experience - 9.5/10. The communication from the tour company was excellent. They asked for the necessary details well in advance, replied to messages very quickly and provided updates constantly. On the actual day, the drivers picked us up within the provided time frame. They were very kind and respectful, asking us where we’re from and how we were finding Egypt. They didn’t drive at crazy speeds and didn’t brake too harshly. One of the drivers even bought the whole minivan a water and juice each! The only ‘negative’ was that they kept turning the AC down when they felt like it, not knowing that their passengers were boiling in the back! 😂 The hot air ballon ride was amazing… Went straight from the minivan into the ballon, no waiting around whatsoever. Our pilot was witty, informative and friendly, showing us what we were looking at below and providing a bit of insight while being funny. We were in the sky for about 30 mins and had a very smooth landing. Next was the actual tour of everything. We had previously been to Cairo so had expected a similar experience but we were wrong. It was so much better than expected! All thanks to our AMAZING tour guide, Samira. She truly made the whole day for us, we can’t sing her praises enough. She was funny, informative, kind, just the model tour guide. She provided facts on EVERYTHING, answered every single one of our questions in depth, made many jokes, everything you could want in a tour guide, she was that and more. Lastly the restaurants we went to. We had breakfast and lunch in two different local restaurants, can’t say the food was amazing. Just similar to what you’d have in a hotel.
This private tour was the best trip I have ever been on. Our tour guide Samira was not only very knowledgeable but very friendly and put us at ease. She was a great asset to the trip. The valley of the kings as you can imagine were unbelievable and the scenery was breathtaking. It was great getting all the little local stories from samira, it made it more personal. The boat trip on the Nile was a welcome break after all the walking around. Samira took us to a lovely little Egyptian restaurant for lunch which was very tasty. Our driver Mohammed was great too and his car very luxurious. If you can go on this tour book it. You will not regret it. Samia and Mohammed became like friends towards the end and we had a very special time.
We had an absolutely incredible full-day tour to Luxor from Hurghada. From the very early morning collection to the end of the trip, everything was organised brilliantly and we felt very well looked after throughout. Professor Ahmed Elsisi was exceptionally knowledgeable, professional and passionate about Egyptian history, making every stop fascinating and engaging. Our driver, Mohammad Nassar, was also excellent — attentive, friendly and made the long journey very comfortable and smooth. Lunch, snacks and drinks throughout the day were all very much appreciated and added to the experience. We also loved the extra additions to the tour, including learning about traditional papyrus paper making, visiting an authentic local artists’ house, and taking a beautiful boat trip on the Nile. It was a very early start, but completely worth it. A truly unforgettable experience and one we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Egypt.
Fantastic tour, collected on time, sensible driving and so much great information! Highly recommended tour - many thanks to Professeor Ahmed Elsisi & Mohammad Nassar
I couldn’t recommend this experience enough to anyone travelling to Egypt. Ahmed was a fantastic guide — knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about every site we visited. As it was our last day in Egypt, he was more than happy to go at our pace, and because it was just me and my partner, the whole tour felt personal and relaxed. It really was a brilliant day. The only small area for improvement lies with the organisation before meeting our guide. A clear, step‑by‑step itinerary from the tour company would make a huge difference. Something like: - You will be picked up by a driver in a car - You will be driven directly to Luxor on your own - You will meet X person at X restaurant - You will wait approximately X minutes - You will then meet X person and join a minibus with a new group for the balloon site - After the balloon trip, you will transfer to another minibus that will take you to your guide Having this information upfront would give travellers peace of mind, especially when things feel hectic, you’re unsure who you’re meant to be with, and there may be a slight language barrier. It would simply make the morning run more smoothly. That said, none of this takes away from how excellent Ahmed was. Once the balloon trip was finished and we met him, we could finally relax and enjoy the day fully. One thing we both loved was how he asked us questions throughout his explanations — it made us feel involved and engaged rather than just listening passively. If you choose this tour, you genuinely won’t be disappointed.
Amazing experience! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly, made the trip easy and fun. Lunch was amazing and the Nile boat ride to end the day!
Our first time in Egypt and wanted to see and learn more about the valley of the Kings and Egyptian History. Professor Ahmed Elsisi was very knowledgeable and has worked with the British and American teams exploring the Valley of the Kings. He gave us helpful insights on the Ancient Egyptian view of life and death and mummification. Ahmed used his experience to try and avoid the crowds as well as give us a great tour. Fascinating to learn how Egyptian craftsman work with alabaster. After a traditional lunch a boat ride on the Nile was a great experience. Mr Abanob safely drove us to and from Luxor with great skill - Egyptian driving is not the same as driving in the UK! Thanks to you both for a wonderful day.
Excellent experience - the hot air balloon was fantastic (so well organised and much easier than I expected with my fear of heights!). Special mention to our fabulous and funny guide Professor Ahmed Elsisi who not only informed but also entertained us across the valley of the kings. Brilliant!
Our driver picked us up right on time, and the journey was calm, quiet, and very comfortable. One of our absolute favourite parts of the day was the hot air balloon ride, it was an unforgettable experience. Exploring Karnak Temple with our wonderful tour guide, Samira, was another highlight. Seeing the model first and then experiencing it in person with her insightful explanations really brought everything to life. This day would have been completely different without a guide, and we’re so grateful to have had such a knowledgeable and engaging one.
Amazing day with professor Ahmed Elsisi as our private tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable about everything, and him and our driver took us here there and everywhere all over Luxor. We ended the day with a short little boat ride on the river Nile which was lovely, and the day went super smooth and we learned a lot. This day would have been extremely different without a guide! Highly recommend anyone looking for a private group tour to book with Ahmed Elsisi! Thank you 🙏
Overall a very good experience. We were picked up on time by our driver at our hotel in Hurghada. He brought us to Luxor where we met professor Ahmed Elsisi, who has a lot of knowledge on Egyptology. The two of them brought us everywhere, from valley of the kings to the temples and bout tour, where they would arrange the tickets for us. I would highly recommend this private experience if you don’t want to visit these sites in a big group and want to hear from someone very knowledgeable on the subject.
We had an amazing tour to Luxor and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The whole trip ran very smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about anything. A special thank you to our guide, Professor Ahmed Elsisi, our guide and Egyptologist. His knowledge about ancient Egypt was truly impressive. He explained everything in a very clear and engaging way, and we learned so much during the tour. The information he shared made all the temples and historical sites come alive. He was also very friendly, professional, and happy to answer all our questions, which made the experience even better. Thanks to him, the tour was not only beautiful but also incredibly educational. We highly recommend this Luxor tour to anyone visiting Egypt. Everything was super well arranged and it was an unforgettable experience!
Amazing experience. I did this tour with my girlfriend and my brother and everything was well organized from start to finish. The pick-up in Hurghada was on time, the drive was comfortable and the hotel was good. The hot air balloon ride at sunrise was the highlight of the trip. After that we visited beautiful places like the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Our guide, Professor Ahmed Elsisi, was very friendly and shared a lot of interesting information about the history of Egypt. Everything was well arranged and the whole day went smoothly. Highly recommended.
We had one fantastic day with Legacy Tour. My boyfriend had a marriage proposal planned in the hot air balloon and Legacy Tour helped in every detail to make everything go to plan. The cab driver arrived right on time and was incredibly friendly and courteous. Breakfast and lunch at Paris restaurant was very good. In the hot air balloon, as well as walking among all the historic temples and boating down the Nile were a magical experience. We would really highly recommend this trip. Legacy Tour: thank you for making this an unforgettable day in Luxor. Without you guys this would not have been possible. This day and place will forever remain a special place in our memories and hearts.
We booked this excursion while we were still in France. A private sedan driver came to pick us up to make the trip from Hurghada. The trip went well, however, if we were to do it again, we would stay overnight on site because we left the day before at 11 p.m. for a hot air balloon takeoff at 7 a.m. Afterwards, we met our private guide Sabry, who was very kind and gave a perfect explanation of the areas visited. The experience is incredible but so is the fatigue that comes with it.
An extraordinary experience thanks to our guide Sabri, who was able to transport us to the Egyptian era. Moreover, we had a guide for two! I recommend it.
A wonderful journey discovering the history of Egypt among the tombs and temples that hold millennia of history. Thanks to our guide, who conveys great passion and knowledge, we were able to admire and learn many details. The day started with an exhilarating hot air balloon ride followed by breakfast with typical food in a very picturesque location overlooking the Nile. The price was excellent for the entire tour, which included lunch and transfers from Hurghada. The drivers were also very punctual and kind! I highly recommend this tour!!!!
Everything was perfect and magical; the only downside would be that they do not provide water during the execution. Otherwise, the hot air balloon flight was enchanting, and the passionate and engaging French-speaking guide. Thank you for this moment.
