Safaga & Makadi Bay: Royal Seascope Submarine Cruise With Pickup

We had an amazing SeaScope boat tour in Hurghada and absolutely loved it! The highlight was being able to admire the underwater world through the large glass windows beneath the boat. It was an incredible experience to see so many colorful fish, beautiful corals, and fascinating marine life right in front of us without even getting into the water. The views were breathtaking, and the whole trip was enjoyable from beginning to end. Best Guide Ahmed

I booked a 2 hour Red Sea submarine cruise with snorkeling for the 4 of us. They fetched us from our hotel and everything was well organized. The boat was clean and I loved the bright yellow color! The view from below was fantastic, we even saw stingrays swim past, my kids loved it. We were the only group that opted to snorkel and it was so worth it! My daughter is 6yrs and the guide stayed with her in the water the whole time. We all felt safe and looked after. They even gave us complimentary cola to drink afterwards and yes there were things to buy on board but we didn't feel any pressure to buy anything. Everyone was very respectful. I definitely recommend this for families with kids, great experience!

This is quite average, but appropriate value for money. Don’t expect something very great. While the submarine time is 45 mins it is actually less then 30 in real terms.

We had a fantastic afternoon on the submarine trip, it was such an amazing experience. The crew were great, helpful and thoughtful.

Stunning views, looking almost unreal. Great team of people and a lovely atmosphere. Crystal clear water, would not reccomend if you get seasick during the earlier months of the year!

The overall experience is to be honest people with budget. But in Hurghada there was more fish and other things than in sharm-el Sheikh in sharm there was only fish but in Hurghada there was even a dolphin and a couple of turtles for kids its fun but for adults only to one hour fun then just boring. But for the price its good. (payed 11$ .44,43 ZŁ* . for one adult)

We traveled with an infant and a toddler, so it was perfect that it didn't last too long and very reasonable price, much cheaper than similar experiences in Makadi Bay. Driver picked us up 45 minutes before from the hotel in Makadi Bay. The boat trip lasted about 2 hours, 30 min each way to the reef where we could go down to the 'submarine' level and go snorkeling if you'd want

This is an absolutely fantastic experince and VERY good value for money. The staff onboard were very hospitable and the photographers do not harass you to buy the pictures they take. The submarine itself is clean and a ton of fun, the water is crystal clear and there is an abundance of marine life to see. Can't recommend this enough.

It was not bad, but the actual trip was less than 2 hours. We boarded the ship at 3:15 pm, and boarded out at 5pm exact. I think it should be a 3-hour trip considering the price.

I have never experienced such amazing sights before. As a non-confident swimmer I never thought I could see fishes underwater. The boat was lovely, the crew and kind and non-pushy. They did the most to ensure we saw a variety of sea life. The colours, the corals, the atmosphere was incredible.

Transport was in a small air conditioned bus which arrived on time. We arrived at the marina and were giving a card with our boat number. The trip was amazing. After about 20 minutes you were invited downstairs. Brilliant! You were then given the opportunity to snorkel with life jackets recommended. We returned to the marina after 2 hours. Our guide was busy dealing with others on the nest trip when we returned. Returned to the hotel. A must do trip which was suitable for all ages and abilities and fantastic value for money

I have enjoyed it so much, I booked hurghada trip with Egypt United Tours and they recommended the Seascope activity so I booked it with the Royal Seascope and it was fabulous. I highly recommend it!!

The crew on deck were good and professional, but the way the whole thing was managed gave me the worst experience, I went mainly for the submarine view, the place down there was too crowded, with a very poor air conditioning, that covers only a tiny place, and I wasn’t fortunate enough to be in that place, with time I started to lose my breath and had to leave this whole tiny crowded submarine area. Even its glass wasn’t clear enough. Not to mention the horrible safety regulation down there, At the end, the crew kept apologizing to me, but the damage already has been done.

A really great experience for the family! The team were very friendly and made sure we were having a good time. We spent half an hour cruising with great music. We then spent the next 45 minutes in the submarine room and saw some amazing sights of the coral reef and fish! There was then an opportunity to snorkel. A great excursion for a few hours!

Amazing trip, I was warned for the low price it wouldn't be any good but we all had a blast just remember your sunscreen. We had a small boat ride to the coral then went down stairs to view under the water then people that wanted go snorkel where given the opportunity then we headed back it's only a 2 hour trip but that's the perfect amount of time when away as you don't want anything taking a whole day of your time. Whilst on the way back we where given a complimentary drink of soda pop this was not expected. You can buy drinks and snack on board. And you do have the usual photos taken for purchase but there was no pressure to even have the pictures done and no hard selling. We had the pictures as its all fun and its not often you get the opportunity to have family pictures done. They came out brilliant we recieved these in a memory picture book at our hotel reception the next day and then we was sent every picture taken to our what's app. Note: only cash taken on board

We had a great excursion on the royal seascope semi-submarine! Booking on tripadvisor (via viator) was a PAIN! We had to try 6-7 times and almost gave up but then it finally worked. Maybe, next time we'll try it via getyourguide.com instead. After we booked online, we communicated with them via Whatsapp to coordinate pick-up. They picked us up from our hotel (Sindbad Club) at 10am and dropped us off afterwards (no extra charge) around 1-130pm. First we spent 20-30min on top driving out to sea. Then we went downstairs and after 15-20min some people went back upstairs to get ready to snorkel. I think snorkeling was about 45min. Afterwards the people who snorkeled took showers onboard and the boat drove back to shore. We were also given complimentary water and 7up at the end. It was a very nice trip! We liked that, unlike most other excursions, this was not the whole day but only 2-3hrs. Plus it wasn't too early in the morning but we were still back at the hotel for lunch. A whole day trip would have been too long for our son. The fact that it was a semi-submarine where you could go down and up as you pleased, particularly appealed to us as my husband and 4 year old don't like being in enclosed spaces for long periods of time but we still got that 'submarine' feeling and saw the fish in the water. The crew incl. Salam, the 2 Ahmeds and Abdul was very friendly. Since they picked us up and dropped us off, we didn't have to worry about anything. The price was great, we paid around $20 for the 3 of us. At that price we will definitely do it again on our next trip to Hurghada this year! PS: Tipping is appreciated but not a must.

Great trip - we were picked up in a bus and then drove to Soma Bay. Everyone was really nice. The ship is in good condition and very clean - the crew was very nice and helpful.

What a great surprise. Booked online via TripAdvisor the kight before. Confirmed few minutes after personally on WhatsApp with great and clear communication. Hotel pickup on time. Great welcome at the harbour by the team. Felt special as staff was taking a good care of our family in particular. A lot of fishes to see and beautiful corals. Swimming experience was also great with the equipment provided, but water a bit cold at this period of the year. Great experience overall and would recommend. Great value

The trip is not from Makadi bay, it is from Hurghada. Bus trip take around 60 minutes from Sahel el Hashish. However, the car was good and we had a pleasant time.

Picked up from hotel on time. Plenty of space and seats on the boat. The staff explained everything. The views under the boat were really good. My photos don't really show it. Driven back to hotel afterwards.

This tour is not of Safaga & Makadi Bay: Royal Seascope Submarine cruise with pickup, you stay within a 100m or so of Hurghada marina. The water is very murky and there are very few fish unless being fed by the divers.

Great experience. Don't book through the guys at the hotel pool (25$). The photographer is respectful when you just tell him you don't need pics.

Didn’t expect to much from this trip but it was fab for what it cost, 2 hours and got to sea coral and fish from the glass bottom but highlight was snorkelling over the reef with such vibrant fish and coral, highly recommend for those that want to get off resort for a few hours.

We saw the trip offered on tripadvisorat a great price so decided to take advantage of the offer. Best value for mobeybtrip ever, we saw various types of fish abd even saw 3 turtles. Fantastic.

Quick and uncomplicated handling. All well organized. For a short trip with kids sufficient, for adults too less time for snorkeling as everybody needed handling to be ready. While watching through the windows the crew should turn off the motor to let more fish get out, instead of going back and forth. Same tour as offered at the beach or touristbook but for much less!

We were a bit unlucky with windy and overcast weather so didn’t feel like we got to see what we had hoped for. Otherwise, everything was well arranged!

The day started with the pick up from our hotel. The driver was very punctual. Despite the fact that there were problems with the booking (we had first reserved for 3 people and increased to 5 people a week earlier) the driver remained friendly and we were able to clarify everything calmly. Once on the boat, we drove along on the deck for the first time and enjoyed the view. After a while the boat stopped in the middle of the sea and we could go down and look at the fish through the glass wall. Unfortunately, there was only one broken air conditioner below deck, so it quickly became stuffy. The combined swinging quickly made some people feel sick. We could also see only grey corals on the day, as well as occasionally smaller and minimally larger fish. But for the children it was still the absolute hit. There was also the possibility to swim or snorkel in the sea. However, we have not made use of it. One negative thing I have to mention: There were 2 photographers on board who got pretty annoying. They were very nice, but also really pushy. And the "initial prices" for the photos are also outrageous.... Nevertheless, all in all a good and nice trip.

Booked an excursion to Makadi bay and safaga on TripAdvisor and never did it. The transfer to and from my hotel did not have my names. The company making the excursion didn't have my names. In the end I did not make the excursion and the company refused to give me a refund. Scandalous. Unreliable. A disgrace

A big minus point,was at pickup!!pickup time was 11 o'clock,after 45 min.wait I prayed hotel there to call Office...on the phone said that supposedly there were some problems,and pickup we'd be at 12:30... Problems can always happen,but a message with me we'd have been nice...I was standing there with 2 small children 45 min.lang.... At 12:30 they had been on time
