Ahmed was brilliant from start to finish. He shared great knowledge throughout the day and let us also have free time to explore on our own too. He got us into places quickly so we got the most of our time in each location. The car driver made us feel safe the entire trip and the balloon ride was an amazing experience.

Planning ahead for our trip in September we booked this trip a coupe of months ago. The week before our trip I emailed the company for confirmation that everything was in hand and as planned. Alarm bells started ringing when, a few days before our trip I received a text to say we were being picked up from our hotel at 4.30am. I expressed my concern over this as we were due to go on a sunrise balloon trip. I immediately received a reply saying that the previous message had been sent in error and that we would be picked up at 11pm the previous night as originally scheduled. good, all back on track. Three days later I received a text to say that all balloon flights were cancelled (and had been since June) and that my trip would go ahead with out this with a 4.30am start (clearly the previous text had not been sent in error!) We were offered a partial refund of $120 against an original trip cost of over £400, this seemed a paltry offer since the balloon trip was the major attraction of the trip. Luckily we were in time to cancel the adjusted trip and rebooked with another company for an equivalent trip (less the balloon ride) for less than £200. What has really annoyed me isn't the fact that the balloon ride was cancelled, this was outside of the company's control, it's the fact that they had prior knowledge that it may not go ahead and at no point did they advise us of this. It's quite obvious that the text advising of the 4.30am start took into account the lack of balloon ride but they tried to cover this us by saying it was sent in error. I believe they thought we would just take the partial refund and go on the remainder of the trip I cannot recommend this company due to their lack of transparency in their dealings. Why they continued to advertise the balloon trip during July and August when it has been suspended by the Egyptian government is beyond me, perhaps Tripadvisor can look into this as I would consider it fraudulent. If Tripadvisor would like screen shots of my conversations proving any of the above I am happy to share with them.
The felucca ride on the Nile was a calm part of the itinerary, but it was quite short and did not offer much beyond a brief change of pace. The scenery was pleasant, yet the experience lacked depth or additional explanation. It felt more like a symbolic inclusion rather than a fully developed activity. Traveling as a couple, we hoped for a slightly longer and more engaging ride.
The balloon was cancelled as it was too windy but the rest of the trip was excellent. A taxi and guide just for the two of us all day.
This tour was amazing from start to finish. Samir is extremely knowledgeable and made the experience brilliant. Well worth the money and would highly recommend it. Thanks Samir for an unforgettable day.
What a day .. if you’re thinking about this trip don’t hesitate to book it, what a fantastic day … Mahmoud picked us up at 11.30 pm & we were well looked after during the overnight trip arriving in Luxor at 4am We had Breakfast at Africa rooftop restaurant next to the Nile & were the only people there food was freshly cooked on our arrival & tea was delicious. The balloon bus picked us up at 5 ‘ we were taken to the balloon site which seemed like organised chaos but you soon realise that it works extremely well & every is taken care of The balloon trip was amazing, totally blew me away l, magical watching the sunrise over a beautifully stunning sunrise &’lasted around 45 mins We then got dropped off to Samira our guide … Lovely Lady who didn’t just guide us but”immersed” us in local history throughput the day …& took us to another Temple because w didn’t want to do the alabaster & perfume thing.. Lunch was another rooftop restaurant & local food was tasty & service good….. we were the only ones on the Nile boat trip (called the Titanic but not an iceberg in site) & then we said goodbye to Samira & I’d personally recommend requesting her for your guide, very proud Egyptian Lady professional & friendly a real credit to her self & this beautiful Country, and were back in Hurghada for 4pm…. Absolutely amazing day & Legacy tours should be applauded for having such a fine team of people providing a quality of experience for us humble travelers to this beautiful Country
Our driver and guide where very good and knowledgeable, however we where pickup at 11pm which was far to soon as the balloon event didn't start until sunrise which was 7am should of really been picked us up at 2am, the balloon ride and tour was excellent, but avoid the trip to the alabaster store, very high pressure sell tried to get us to but 3 vases for £480.00 which when I got back to the hotel checked on Amazon and they where selling at £5.00 each.
Our experience with LEGACY TOUR in Luxor was very disappointing and uncomfortable. AHMED HAMED, the Founder & CEO, personally acted as our guide. From the beginning, he was loud, rude, and unprofessional. He took photographs of us without our consent and continued even after we clearly asked him to stop, which made us feel very uncomfortable. There were also instances of inappropriate physical contact, which added to our distress. We repeatedly requested to be taken to the destinations listed in our booking, which should have been followed as agreed. Despite this, Ahmed Hamed left without taking us on the Felucca ride that was included in the tour. After reading other reviews, it appears this is not an isolated incident. We also repeatedly requested that the money for the missed Felucca ride be given to the driver, who was polite and professional, but our requests were ignored. Additionally, during the hot air balloon experience, a photographer was sent to take our pictures. Despite declining multiple times, we were repeatedly pressured to pose. While we tried communicating our concerns and refund requests to both the company and Viator, these messages were not addressed, and we continued receiving prompts to leave a review instead. We regret booking this tour and are sharing this experience so other travelers can make an informed decision. Due to how this situation was handled, this will be our last time booking through Viator.
The whole trip ran smoothly and exactly to plan. Our driver Mr Mahmoud ELSaway was on time and the transfer was very comfortable. The balloon ride was an amazing experience. We then met our guide professor Ahmed ELsisi who was fun, informative and was a pleasure to be in the company of. I would recommend this trip but bring very warm clothes for the early morning start!!
Wow what a trip!! Yes the late night start was tiring but OMG it was so worth it!! Our driver, Mr Mahmoud ELSaway was friendly, on time and helpful, Talkative but also knew when we was tired and to let us snooze in the car!! Arriving at Luxor we had breakfast overlooking the Nile and then met our first guide who took us to the hot air balloons, it was all very well organised (skyline balloons) and even though we had a nervous passenger the whole experience was amazing. After landing we were taken to our private transfer and also met our private tour guide Professor Ahmed Elsisi who is an absolute expert in his field!!. Professor Ahmed was great at telling us the facts but in a way that we would understand and enjoy the tours which made it more enjoyable for us. We felt extremely safe throughout the whole trip and loved soaking up the Egyptian way of life. Lunch was amazing and the boat trip down the Nile was fun which ended our tour on the perfect note!! Even the nervous flyer has said he would definitely do it again!!
Everything according to plan and expectation. Magnificent balloon ride, private transport and excellent guide. This package had all the essentials: crossing the Nile, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple, Karnak (my favorite) and Memnon statue. Balloon ride comes highly recommended.
Fantastic experience! We were picked up directly from our hotel in Hurghada by our own private, new and fresh car. The driver, Mr. Mossa, drove us safely through the night and let us stop whenever we needed to buy snacks or use the restroom. Before we knew it, we had arrived for breakfast, and after that we hopped on another bus heading to the hot air balloon for the sunrise. The hot air balloon ride was by far the best part of the trip, absolutely magical and 100% worth the money! After about 60 minutes in the air, we were driven back to our chauffeur, where we were met by our guide and Egyptologist, Professor Ahmed Elsisi. Professor Ahmed Elsisi guided us through the entire day in a fantastic and reassuring way. He filled the tour with history and exciting facts, and made sure we weren’t approached by street vendors. He gave us free time to explore on our own as a couple, while always being there when we needed him. Very flexible and understanding! Every time we arrived at a new stop, we were also given an ice-cold bottle of water, which was greatly appreciated in the hot sun. The lunch was tasty, and between all the sights, Mr. Mossa drove us smoothly and comfortably. We met many friendly people along the way, and we can truly recommend this tour to both family and friends. When the day was over, our driver took us all the way back to Hurghada. An amazing day from beginning to end!
It was an amazing tour. Our driver Mahmoud Elsawy is really nice and kind. He bring us everywhere in safe and always ask our feelings in the car. And our tour guide is Ahmed Elsisi… He gave us really nice moments with his jokes. We had a lot of fun with him at during tour. We were really lucky! Thank you for everything.
The experience was worth every single penny, from the start to finished. We had the most amazing time! Tour operators were well organised which made our experience even more memorable. Very attentive and knowledgable guide! Highly recommended!
Had a great experience with professor Ahmed Elsisi. For his story telling and deep knowledge. Also thank him for all the beautiful photos!
We absolutely enjoyed this tour! Our tour guide was Professor Ahmed El Sisi who we found very knowledgeable in Egyptian history. This tour is well planned and overall we had a great experience!
well what can i say, this excursion is one that will stay with us forever, from the perfectly on time pickup by mahmoud the driver to 25hr later drop off back at our hotel the experience was without doubt indeniably unbelievable.. you start with a drive (from hurghada) through the breathtaking mountains and desert to luxor where we met the our guide the professor who took us to luxor temple and talked us through its key points of its history and explained the etymology behind the heiroglyphics, then he left us to explore around the grounds on our own before taking us for some very nice food at a recommended resturant (the beef kofta was 👌) before taking us to our hotel overlooking the river nile which was a beautiful setting to finish our first day.. then we were up before dawn and taken to an airfield and taken up 2000ft in the air for the sunrise in the east followed by a flight path over ancient temples and the mountain to where we landed in the desert, it was an out of this world experience, everyone has to do it 🙏 we were driven not to far to where the professor met us who very politely let us let us sit for a snack n refreshments before continuing our tour.. we went to many sites, carter house, valley of the kings, archeological digs by the french, workshops and the temple of hatshepsut.. followed by lunch and a private boat trip up n down the river nile ❤️ this part of the world is steeped in history and if you have a thirst for knowledge and experiences then just go for it, book it, you will not regret it i promise you 💯!! thank you professor SiSi, mahmoud the driver, the resturants staff, the balloon pilot for his safe landing ad his crew of men who raced to the desert from the airfield to be there for us and im sorry if i missed anybody 🙏
We came to egypt for a weeks holiday, from the uk and purchased this deal as an excursion and wow, it did not disappoint. professor Ahmed Elsisi Our guide and Egyptologist at Luxor And our driver Mahmoud, we're absolutely spot on the entire time. From pick up to drop off. We did the 4 hour drive, mahmoud was on time, very hospitable and provided ice cold drinks and toilet stops, and we found our English speaking guide, whose been a God send the moment we met. He helped with the language barriers, with other Arabic people as we're not Arabic. He was funny, humorous and extremely clever and knowledgeable on the entire history of Egypt, it's valley of kings, Queens, temples, tombs etc. He gave us plenty opportunities to ask questions and our driver waited and our things were safe in his vehicle. After a temple tour we were taken to a restaurant and had food, which was lovely food, fresh food, lovely service, and our driver battled through the crazy streets if donkeys camels and ridiculous driving of others, expertly before we were taken to a beautiful hotel with a room over looking the nile and the mountains, lit up with boats. Surreal imagery. We were collected 5am with a breakfast box each and taken to the place where we watched the sun rise on a hot air balloon. Smooth experience and what a view we saw it was a bucket list experience. Romantic, as the sun rose and we landed in the desert and wad taken to our driver mahmoud and professor Ahmed Elsisi, and our tours began. Very knowledgeable and able to explain multiple times and ways if you didn't understand, let us have space to go off and was always watching where we were going, getting us through queues and to air conditioning where possible. Polite friendly and respectful. Took us for lunch in a restaurant , again delicious food before taking us on a gorgeous fellucia boat across the nile. There was another temple but we politely declined as the weather was extremely hot and we were tired. Said our goodbyes and drove back to our resort with mahmoud. Threw was no gaps in pick ups or drop offs, no uncertainty and that was important to us. Thank you sisi and mahmoud for the experience of a lifetime. Me and Jay will never forget. Thank you .
My wife and I did the hot -air balloon, which was amazing,,but the most excellent part of tour was the private guide tour of Luxor it started with our driver, Mahmoud wgo was an excellent, tireless driver as the ride to Luxor was 4 1/2 hours & another 4 1/2 hours back to Hurghada post tour. He was very kind but most of all, he was very accommodating to us which made us feel cared about and our tour guide Ahmed was very knowledgeable & spoke so we felt like we were back in time, if we had questions no matter how stupid, he would explain in terms so that we would understand. The value Ahmed puts on the history of his beloved country, Egypt, you are in for an experience like no other but only if Ahmed is your tour guide. He treated us as family & we did not want the day to end. It's ok, though, because he will be in our lives forever now.
Our brilliant driver Ahmed Salah and our excellent Egyptologist Professor Ahmed Elsisi took me and my mum on a fantastic tour of the Valley of the kings and the wider Luxor Area We were taken to Luxor in a comfortable air-conditioned car with Ahmed salah stopping for breaks and getting us water and snacks. They both gave us the time we needed to really explore this historic areas and we had a really good time with the both of them. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone and make sure to ask for this driver and this Egyptologist.
We had a great time on our trip! The hot air balloon ride was beautiful and our guide Samira was incredibly knowledgeable. She gave us great insights into all of the places we visited and allowed us time to explore on our own at our own pace which was great. I highly recommend this trip and Samira!
I am awe=struck and my mind is blown by this incredibly perfect tour! Had originally purchased roughly similar tour, which the tour company canceled at the last minute, so Viator booked this one with Legacy Tours instead, which resulted in one of the very best days of my life first & foremost because of Mahmoud, the best ever driver on earth and THE Professor Ahmed Elsisi, tour guide professional Egyptologist and so much more. There is absolutely nothing Ahmed does not know about Egypt from the country's birth to its present. He is professional, expert, abundantly caring & kind to his tourists, has an extremely delightful sense of humor, ensures that his tourists have rare & unforgettable experiences, and he knows EVERYbody who clearly adore him just like me. He assisted me all day with climbing & descending stairs and with uneven terrain, providing everything I could ever need or want. When my phone battery died from all of the photographing I did on this tour, he even took pics with his phone to send to me. He made such an impression on me, I hope and believe we will now be friends forever. I always dreamt of floating high in the sky in a hot air balloon and boating on the Nile, but never did I expect that dream would come to fruition within hours on the same day plus all of the other beautiful sites I went to see and food from some of the most delicious restaurants, but Ahmed & Mahmoud definitely made it happen in the best way possible. I told Mahmoud that the English language is so new & restrictive that I could not find the right words to describe my overall experince on this day, but it was outstanding. I will never forget it or them. If you are planning a trip to Luxor or considering a place to go, you MUST visit Luxor and book this tour, and if you do not, you will miss out on the best day of your life.

Amzing tour Over Luxor. Achmed os a person with lots of culture about Egipt history. The ballon Ride was unforgetable. All the Ride from the hotel till the tours amazing
Our trip with legacy tours was amazing from start to finish. Everything was well organised and we had an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide Mohammed gave great detail into the tour sites and we felt well cared for he couldn’t have done a better job. We would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting hurghada. We would definitely book again!
From pick up at 5am in an air conditioned private car to being dropped off at 4:30pm the following day, we were looked after and felt very safe by both the driver, Muhmet and the guide, Professor Ahmed Elsisi. They made the whole experience fun, enjoyable, stress free and seemless, with their friendly manner and positive attitudes. We didn’t have to worry about anything, everything was taken care of. We felt very lucky and knew we had picked the right company to go with from the get go. Along the way Professor Ahmed took so many photos of us all. He is a man of many talents and it was nice to not worry too much about taking too many pictures, so we could just enjoy the experience. Liz said ‘great photographer!’ 🤣😊 Muhmet is an excellent driver. He went very slow over bumps, which you will be very grateful for once you are in Egypt. There are so many bumps! He also was very nice and provided rest stops and refreshments whenever he could. We felt they both went above and beyond to make us feel safe, welcome and happy. Thank you Muhmet & Professor Ahmed for looking after us all so well! The food provided throughout the experience was fresh and delicious. The restaurants we went too were full of nice, decent, hard working people. We will miss the rice bread and hummus the most! Alcohol didn’t seem to be an option while in Luxor, some places provide non alcoholic beer which is nice but if anything, it just helps to not be hungover while trying to enjoy the excursions. After arriving in Luzor from hugarda, we met our guide Ahmed and went straight to Karnac Temple. It was very hot but Ahmed made sure to stop in the shade as much as possible while giving us the guided tour. He was extremely informative and his English was impeccable. We were also given some free time to explore the grand temples for ourselves. Nothing can prepare you for seeing all of the statues and hieroglyphics up close and personal! Next we went to lunch but first an informative stop at a perfumery. It was air conditioned and provided a much needed rest from walking around in the heat. After lunch we were taken to Luxor Temple. We were given the option to do this later in the day as the sun was high in the sky by this point but we continued with our itinerary. It was another brilliant tour of beautiful statues and buildings seeped in history. Then it was time to check into our hotel. It was clean and perfect for an overnight stay. We didn’t have a balcony but the beds were comfortable and the shower was cool! The view from the back of the hotel, towards the pool is amazing as you are sat next to the river Nile! Speaking of the Nile, we were expecting the feluccia boat ride to be the following day, so when our guide surprised us with it before our evening meal, we were blew away. Especially as it meant we were floating peacefully on the river Nile, as small birds fluttered around, watching the sunset. One of my favourite experiences that I will never forget. After dinner, an early night was followed by an early get up. We were picked up by a different company to make our way to the hot air balloon ride. We were delayed as there were talks that it might not go ahead. We arrived at the site to watch the sun rise. Everyone around us organising the event as best they could while still unsure if it was safe to fly. Unfortunately they deemed it necessary to cancel, it was a shame but the day was not over as we had plenty more activities to come. We were looked after and taken to a cafe where we had coffee and waited for our Ahmed to come collect us. It was nice to be reunited with our lovely guide and driver. We were taken to the tomb of the kings. We visited 3 tombs as provided and was given the option to see more for an additional price. If the weather was cooler we may have opted for this but 3 of 61 were plenty in 35+ degree heat. It was spectacular. Professor Ahmed was once again showing off his amazing knowledge as an Egyptologist. He also seems to know everyone and is well liked and respected by all! It was really nice to see and helped towards our feelings of ease around him. Alabaster was our next stop, the ancient town where generations of Egyptian artists have lived. We were shown the proper ways of how certain things are made including the ancient techniques used by the artists that helped decorate the temples and tombs. We were even given the opportunity to get involved. Once again the Egyptian hospitality shone through! Our last excursion was the temple of hatshetshup. We were given the option of a different one but we thought it would be a nice change of pace to see the temple of a female pharaoh. We were not disappointed! The views from the top, over Luxor, were spectacular and the temple itself was another breathtaking piece of artwork with interesting anecdotes attached. It really was an incredible adventure. We would recommend it to everyone. I will be looking to rebook in the future with the same people and maybe do some more temples along the way.
We booked the “Private Day Tour to Luxor with Hot Air Balloon from Hurghada” based on its glowing 5-star reviews and high price, expecting a premium and professional experience. What we got instead was frustrating, at times unsafe, and nowhere near what was advertised. The listing promised experienced English-speaking guides, air-conditioned transport, water throughout the day, full site entry, and a traditional felucca ride. Instead: • Our “guide” mohammed spoke limited English, offered minimal explanation at any site, and chain-smoked throughout the day — even after we asked him not to. • We were stranded for over an hour after the hot air balloon with no contact or instructions — incredibly stressful. • The driver (also called mohammed) used his mobile phone for long stretches while driving, and took photos/videos of us sleeping in the car, which he sent to others — a complete violation of privacy. • No water was provided despite 45°C+ temperatures — we had to buy our own at inflated prices. • The felucca ride was replaced by a motorboat operated by children with no life jackets — we refused to board due to obvious safety concerns (my partner cannot swim). • Key stops like the Colossi of Memnon were completely skipped with no explanation. • Additional ticket costs were sprung on us mid-tour, despite the listing implying full inclusion. None of the well-reviewed guides were involved in our day. Our emails to the operator were dismissed, and our refund request was ignored. This was not a premium or even acceptable experience, and it’s clear the good reviews are linked to a small group of guides — not a consistent standard. This tour was unsafe, poorly organised, and misrepresented. Strongly recommend avoiding.
With little notice we were asked to “slightly” move our pick up time….. by 9 hours, but offered a free hotel in Luxor…. It was too late to rebook with another company for the ballon ride so we had little choice. The “private” transport was drive by a driver who was given a drugs test at the first check point by the police and then hits speeds of 174kmph we looked it up and it’s 108 mph…. Whilst on the phone arguing with his girlfriend we assumed by the shouting, it was awful driving and it got worse at the rip off stop over. We actually went to his house in Luxor where is friend took over driving and he went to bed. The hotel was so poor we went to the one next door to eat and only slept for a couple of hours due to the noise in the hotel. The balloon trip was cancelled due to high winds which was not uncommon so we were ferried to a local cafe to await pick up with around 100 other people again more out of pocket expenses. The only positive on the whole journey was our Egyptologist Ahmed Elsisi who was excellent during the day. The trip back was more sedate at around 100 mph. We requested a refund for the ballon ride and were offered £20 each. The company refused more and we pointed out the the experience we actually received could be bought for a lot less they refused to move on the offer. Avoid them at all costs.
Your pick up is late at night 11pm and then around 4 hours of travel from hurghada to Luxor, you do stop a couple of times along the way, we then had breakfast which was nice, but a bit early for us at 4:30am. We were then driven to a meeting point where other were being dropped off for the hot air balloon ride, we were part of smaller groups banned together, and found that the larger groups appeared to have president over our group, we were up in the air for a short time as unfortunately the wind direction was sending everyone towards the no fly zone. From here we meet back with the driver and our guide for the tombs in the valley of the kings, guide was very knowledgeable and gave lots of history background about the temples we were visiting ( an additional fee of 700egp per person for the tomb of Tutankhamen) , some of the tombs have steep stairways to be aware, well worth the visit, be cautious as your guide cannot enter tomb with you, you will find others there who will offer some knowledge and to take photographs ( but a tip is expected, and you can feel overcrowded as they will follow) we also visited the temple of Hatshepsut which is breathtaking. We left here to a boat trip on the Nile, which was a nice break from the heat. The lunch afterwards was delicious, drinks were not included but are reasonably priced. In total the trip lasted for 16hours with pick up and drop off
Our driver Bomba was excellent—very skilled and professional. We had great conversations during both the journey to and from Luxor. He even treated us to some drinks during the breaks, which I really appreciated. Our tour guide in Luxor, Marc, was very knowledgeable and gave us deep insights into the history of the area. We felt well taken care of at all times.
I had a wonderful time with a great tour guide professor Ahmed Elsisi. I recommend him.he is very educated and very articulate..this is a must do if you go to Luxor or Egypt of that matter!
Excellent service from start to finish by knowledgeable locals with great English speaking skills Hot air balloon trip looked uncertain due to recent winds but we were fortunate enough to take off and enjoy a one of kind experience 🤩😃 Cruising the skies at sunrise across the valley of the kings was exciting and enjoyable
The balloon trip was amazing, as was the Valley of kings, our tour guide was fantastic. The whole experience was marred by our trip in the car, on the way the driver was on the phone 70% of the time, then he made a stop for a break and took us into this run down place where he started smoking shisha and talking to the other men in Arabic. I was super uncomfortable, as was my husband. We were then dropped at the Paris cafe and offered omelettes at 5am, none of us were interested as it was so early. It’s a shame as it ruined what would have been an incredible day
This was a long day but the valley of the kings was amazing. The balloon flight was a real experience and I loved it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information about the things we saw. Definitely a memorable experience.
The driver was awful. Put us constantly at risk. We felt unsafe. Just left us alone in the car and wondered off without explanation in the muddle of the night. Stopped at places that had no toilets. Led my wife to a place to pee in the dirt when there were good facilities close by. Was constantly texting and on his phone while driving. Used inappropriate language around my wife. Left us without explanation for 2 hours on arrival to Luxor. You should not use this driver again. He had no respect for us or our safety!
What a way to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Great communication from start to finish from Legacy Tours. The private tour was truly that. Mohammad arrived at 23:00, in fact he was early. It is a long drive from Hurgada to Luxor but we managed to get some sleep. When we arrived we had breakfast at the Paris restaurant which was really nice. Remember drinks not included at breakfast or lunch but was cheap enough. The hot air balloon was amazing. Now I don’t like heights but it was one of the best experiences of my life. Legacy tour photographer was fantastic. Got all the shots and more. Onto the sun rise balloon experience and like I say it was a true experience. Pilots were informative and funny and the ground crew were unbelievable. After the hot air balloon We met our guide for the day. Professor Ahmed Elsisi. If you are lucky enough to get this guy you have done well. Informative, engaging a true gentleman. We then went to the Valley of the kings again Ahmed told us everything we needed to know. We were taken to Alabaster where we got to learn about the art and craftsmanship in making vases and statue. We also got a little try at helping them make some. Lunch was again at Paris restaurant which again was really nice. After lunch was the Nile cruise, again it was private and made special by Ahmed as we went on the top of the boat to see fantastic views. I just want to add here that Mohammed was still the one driving us round whilst Ahmed told us all the history of the Egyptians. We were also taken to see how paper was made from Papyrus and finally we went to Karnak temple which was impressive. A big thank you to Ahmed and Mohammed for making our day special.
Trip We booked a private tour from Hurgada to Luxor for our 20th wedding anniversary with legacy tours. We got picked up from our hotel in a private car by our lovely driver Mohammed. It was a long 3:45 drive but the car was comfortable and we did manage to get a bit of sleep seen as it was 11pm when we were picked up! When we arrived in Luxor we had our breakfast in a little cafe that included omelette, bead, cheese and salad. From there we were taken to our sunrise hot air balloon ride. WOW!! An absolutely amazing experience that I would 100% do again, the views were breathtaking. We even had a photographer taking some amazing pictures for us. After we had finished that we went back to the cafe where Mohammed was waiting for us and also our wonderful tour guide Professor Ahmed Elsisi . First we went to The Valley of The Kings and Ahmed was amazing at telling us all about it (well he is a professor in Egyptology!). From there we went to Alabaster and learned about how vases and statues are made and even got to have a go with some tools. We then went to Habubu Temple again a wonderful experience and Ahmed again told us everything that we needed to know and was very knowledgeable and every staff member we met said he was number 1 which we would certainly agree with!! We then went back to the cafe for lunch and had a lovely Egyptian lunch and a nice cold drink to cool down. After lunch we went to the Nile and had a lovely boat trip and Ahmed even got us to go up on the roof to have a sunbathe. Ahmed and Mohammed then took us to see how paper is made from papyrus. Our last stop was Karnak Temple, which is the largest temple and it was very hot but absolutely amazing. We are now back in the car for our 4:00 hr drive back to Hurgada. We are completely exhausted but it was worth every minute. We would highly recommend Professor Ahmed Elsisi as a tour guide, very friendly and knew everything about the places we visited (and in between).
We got picked up from our hotel by our driver Bomba(Mr.Bombastic) just in time.I would say that is Mr.Fantastic! and started our journey to Luxor ,including hot air ballon trip. We got picked up from the hotel in private cars, and was able to sleep all the way to Luxor. We woke up and had a lovely breakfast and got to go in the hot air balloons which was fabulous and done so smoothly! We then went with our egyptologist Ahmed Elsisi and he was fabulous taking us to the valley of the Kings and other places around Luxor. Ahmed took photos for us throughout the day and sent them to us on WhatsApp afterwards he was very knowledgeable and we all had such a fabulous day which ended with the most amazing meal we had in Egypt altogether also catering to myself as a vegan and the other guest! Hundred percent would recommend this trip!
My wife and I went on this trip together. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We got picked up in a comfortable car with Aircon and had a seamless trip all the way to Luxor. With stops along the way to stretch our legs and relax. The driver was friendly and accommodating. When we got to Luxor we had a great breakfast before the hot air balloon. The highlight of the trip, a truly amazing experience. After the hot air balloon we met our guide and Egyptologist, Abdul, he was an amazing host. His English was really good and his knowledge was great. He was happy to answer any questions and was also incredibly kind buying as water and drinks multiple times in the trip. I would recommend this experience to anyone!
From the beginning we knew we were in for the best time! The communication and planning were exceptional. Our driver, Sam, was truly incredible and made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the journey and tour. Our tour guide, Abdul, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided great insights and experiences throughout our tour. The highlight of the trip was definitely the hot air balloon, as it was a bucket list item for years and truly exceeded all expectations!!! Thank you!
Trip was cancelled on me twice each time 2 hours before collection and now we can longer do the trip because we go home Tuesday was told because of a military operation Just before piThe trip was canceled on me twice, each time 2 hours before collection, and now we can no longer do the trip because we go home Tuesday. I was told it was because of a military operation just before pick-up time. It was a joke from start to finish—a complete waste of time. Don’t waste your time booking this.
My name is Renata Szymanska Bak. I have recently booked a trip with my family online through viator, from our hotel (Hawaii Paradise Aqua Park Resort, Egypt) to Luxor, Egypt, with a balloon ride. I provided all booking information and i was prepared on time at my hotel entrance as the instructions stated, awaiting our pick up. However, the pick up never arrived. To strengthen my disatisfacfion, my calls to the provided phone numbers had been unanswered all day - before the trip. Once my hope dwindled, I asked hotel guidance. After finally contacting one of the numbers, we were told that there are no details of our booking, and that we need to wait till the next day for any informafion. Ending our trip and a happy holiday in Egypt.
What a fantastic day! Memories to die for. The balloon ride will be an experience we will never forget. Our guide Ahmed was brilliant and had a wealth of knowledge.
What a great day 👏 thoroughly enjoyed every second of our tour to Luxor. Driver was friendly and happy, so was everyone else we encountered at the restaurant and ballon launch site. We then met our tour guide who was brilliant 👌 very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We had a good laugh throughout the day and learnt tonnes of history. Ahmed took some great photos too, would highly recommend this experience. I’m 100% certain we will be returning in the future and and booking with these guys again. Thanks for a great day out and we’ll be back shortly 👍
This trip was a life experience. I suggest you use Legacy tours. Bomba the driver was fun and a great , punctual and he was always making sure we were happy and having a fun trip. Also the breakfast and lunch served was delicious. Highly recommended very happy.
Legacy Tours provided us an unparalleled opportunity to explore Luxor hot air ballon and the visit to the valley of the Kings. From pick up to drop off the experience was seamless no hassle. Tour guide Ahmed Elsie with his knowledge and expertise of the guide made for an unforgettable adventure! Our driver Bomba was very professional and kind. Photographer at the hot air ballon was also wonderful with beautiful pictures. Thank you Overall 10/10 .
Honestly , one of the best experiences of my life , the whole event is so surreal, it’s all worth the anxiety you feel of the unknown, the morning sunrise of the hot air balloon ride is breath taking , a deep orange sun rising about the mountains illuminating the gathering of balloons all the way to the temples of Karnak and the valley of the kings, it offers an experience Cairo can not give you , it offers Egypts history on a deeper and more preserving scale , our tour guide Ahmed Elsisi was one of the best tour guides we have had our entire adventure here in Egypt , he’s passionate about Egypt history , he’s English is nearly perfect , there is no mistakes made, I would choose Ahmed Elsisi again 100% , some tour guides in Egypt might take you to certain shops where they are one commission so you buy things from certain shops, but not Ahmed Elsisi, he’s very honest , humble , polite and even took us to get a McDonald’s 😂 100% would recommend
Would like to thank Ahmed who hosted us for a private tour of Luxor. He’s a brilliant tour guide and Egyptologist, I’d say the best in Egypt 👌 thoroughly enjoyed our day with him, he brought Egyptian history to life in a captivating story like way. He was also incredibly well educated in terms of Egypts history and made a superb effort to explain this to us in detail. We’ve learnt a tremendous amount about Egypt's past and are extremely thankful for the time Ahmed spent with us today. He was also good fun and loved to laugh which made the day fun and relaxing. Our driver was brilliant too, took care of us the whole day and made us feel safe and welcome. Can’t thank them both enough for their hospitality today, we will definitely be back in future as there’s still so much to see. I highly recommend booking with these guys, you won’t be disappointed. Until next time eayilati, Shukran 🙏
